on arrival i was placed in a different resort of sun category (soma palmshore) which I did not understand at all .I was taken on long taxi ride the next day to my booked resort to meet with doctors… still did not understand. after some hours I asked to see the managers as I was physically n emotionally exhausted by then… he told me the resort was full and my reservation had been double booked. do at first I had to stay in the other resort a lot less confortable. I was offered last 4 nights at Manaltheeram but would have to change rooms. my one week stay was to rest deeply and all this changes did not feel restful . do I opted for last 2 nights in a lovely cottage at Manaltheeram. but disappointed I did not get to experience my whole week there as booked

Resort of high standards and quality. Staff was outstanding. Very clean and fresh, spacious room, fresh linings, territory is well maintained and gorgeous nature. Food was amazing, healthy, delicious, good variety. Massages were great. Service was perfect.

Wish there were more water bottles left in the room. Can always call, but still would be nice if 2 bottles per person left in advance.

The location was superb, on a small hill just in front of Adimalathura Beach and next to a Hindu temple with a giant statue of Shiva. Soma Manaltheeram is an ayurveda hospital in a resort environment and we decided to have a week of slimming ayurveda treatments. Hence, we had every day around 2.5 hours of treatments, one hour yoga, and a special slimming diet. The treatments were intense, but effective, as I lost 4 kg. I found the setting incredibly beautiful, especially the open-air space for yoga in front of the beach and the open-restaurant, and I particularly appreciated the kindness of the whole staff.

guests should be respectful about what they get (eg taking food and don t eat Would be nice they would soso look for Women teaching Yoga and Meditation There should be Shared taxis to care for climate instead of individual cars for each guest

Honestly a genuine place to get a taste of Kerala. The staff were amazing and the noise of the ocean shores while you were sleeping was very soothing. The best part was that I had lost my credit card there and the staff posted it very securely and promptly to my Mumbai address. I would recommend their evening Meditation and yoga session.

Nothing apart from the fact that the bathroom in our room wasn't clean upon our arrival with hair on the wall and toilet paper not being changed but Praveen from house keeping promptly tidied up the place. I would have given this place a 10/10 otherwise. However, I will definitely be back and would recommend all my friends to stay here. A side note - Beware of a taxi guy at the front named Shyne (with a Y). He is not associated with the hotel but loves overcharging the guests. Take a tuk-tuk anywhere and it will be much cheaper.

1. Fantastic location, next to the sea and the beach - hop skip and jump. Sound of waves could be heard loud and clear till our rooms. 2. Lucky to see peacock and many more birds. 3. Place very well maintained, neat clean, picturesque. 4. People absolutely helpful, made sure everything was taken care well. No complaints at all, only appreciations. They spend time talking to you, and made sure our every smallest request were taken care. From the time I booked and connected over the first call, short notice for cab arrangement, taking us through their other properties - absolutely great experience. 5. Food - we loved every bit of it. Great spread, wide choices. Since this resort doubles up as a Ayurveda hospital, the food were rightly balanced without much of spices and food were not spicy at all. Word of caution, (1) you could end up over eating :)) watching the endless ocean, waves and the picturesque garden. (2) if you are prefer spicy food - this could put you off. 6. Room size were good enough, gave a very old feeling, beds were comfortable. We were at the garden view, so we were slightly inside. We missed the beach view, as it was already booked. But who would want to be inside the room if you are at a fantastic beach resort. Time flew. 7. Resort had made a nice arrangement of classical Dance program, it was a great initiative. 8. Not sure of app based cabs, hence booked hotel transportation to Airport. Do visit (1) Azhimala Shiva Temple just about 2 kms (2) shops outside the resort, explore.

We wished we stayed longer. Spa's seemed expensive. Their products in the shop, were expensive compared to what is available outside. If the cost were slightly lower.

This is a wonderful ayurvedic resort to refresh and reboot. The rooms all have aircon and the place is tranquil. The setting by the sea is particularly beautiful. The staff is incredibly kind and considerate. This place is well suited for solo travellers as it is easy to meet other people.

It would be good to sort out the Wifi and ensure it works all over the resort.

Great value for money, perfect place to relax. Everyone was very helpful, especially the new restaurant manager. Beautiful views and private seating.

Unless you want to pay above average rates for the buffet the waiting time for food was long. Being at the beach isn’t very relaxing with men trying to sell stuff, I felt I needed to keep myself modest.

It was our third stay in the Group Manaltheeram/Somatheeram and its always a great pleasure to spend super holidays there 🤗😊😉 The place is just amazing, the food is ayurvedic & we love it !! The staff is so helpful & devoted to their customers to please them at all times and the benefits of the massages are real, we feel good & relaxed. So we warmly advise this place !! We look forward to coming soon !!

The cleanliness ,location,staff and the Ayurveda treatment. The property is on the Beach which is very convenient. They don't use plastic bottles. The staff is well mannered.

The Ala-carte orders should not be taking so long. Many dishes were unavailable and the portions were either too much or less.
