Very friendly and helpful staff, who tried their best to ensure our comfort. The breakfast included is basic but very good. They noticed that I wasn’t eating some of the fruit platter as I’m not keen on melon. Without me saying anything, they adjusted what they served the next morning so I had only the fruits I enjoy. We had a lovely room with our own outside patio area. The location was good too with Heritage and White Town shops and restaurants close by.

As with most budget Indian hotels there was no hot water in the ensuite bathroom or shelving or hooks to place towels and toiletries.

The hotel is in a heritage building, which is getting renovated and it will surely become an even better place to stay near the White City once it's done. Renovations didn't bother us. The location is very convenient with many restaurants nearby. There is a shop in the hotel where you can buy a variety of cold drinks and snacks. The continental breakfast was a very nice way to start the day. The owner of the hotel is very welcoming and accommodating. He helped us arrange a taxi to Kumbakonam via Gaigaconda Cholapuram at a very good price. It was a pleasure staying at the hotel.

I honestly can’t recommend this place highly enough. I arrived in India 4 months ago and have a lot of experience in various parts of the country and this place comparatively has all the best qualities. Staff security (I’m a solo female traveler) great Indian breakfast and it all comes with generosity which is rare in India. No extra surprise charges. Owner is a patient honest man. That in itself is like gold in India! Staff speaks and understand English. I could go on. I just felt it’s worth taking the time to write an honest review to assist future travelers. 😀

The beautiful heritage property is excellently situated, with the major attractions located at a stone's throw. The beach is a 7-8 min walk, white town is nearby, and there are also pubs, seafood restaurants and scooty hiring shops within 1-1.5km. The caretaker, Mr. Raja, is a gem of a person. He went out of his way to ensure we have a memorable stay. He answered all our queries, and even, cooked us traditional Tamil breakfast on our last day, even before breakafast time, because we had to leave early. If you are looking for a memorable stay at Pondy, this is a great option.

We decided to upgrade our room to a larger one which seemed to be good value for money. This room had good facilities. The breakfast was simple but satisfying. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Everything was within a short walking distance from the accommodation.

Room and bath was really clean, no issues with hygiene, property is a heritage one, hence, rooms are a bit small. But very comfortable. Staff were helpful and helped with renting a scooty as well for 300/- per day. Nothing to complain, but we never tried the complimentary breakfast during our 3 nights 4 days stay and hence can not comment on the same, but I saw foreigners and Indians enjoying their breakfast, so assuming that it must be good. Overall, value for money, good location, comfortable stay and a happy customer here.

Only a small issue arose as water leaked from the AC unit with drops of water directly falling in the bed underneath, but we dragged the bed away from the wall and problem was resolved.

We stayed 3 nights in this hôtel with 2 kids. We really appreciated it, room was nice and clean and bed very comfortable.You can easily walk to thé Promenade and we did so several times to see the sunrise. Breakfast is nice and Raja and his wife very welcoming. If we come back to Pudicherry we will come back ☺️

Very friendly place right in the middle of Pondy. It really feels like living in a period house. Cool and quiet, warm welcome by attentive management. The best part was the excellent breakfast (Western or South Indian) taken at a communal table so conversation flows. Strongly recommended!!

My room was small. OK for one person, but two would struggle. Perhaps the rooms upstairs are larger?
