The building was beautiful and our room was comfortable and exceptional. The staff were very nice and helpful. The restaurant was good for dinner. Location was great.

The hot water was non existent most of the time. The taps at times had no water at all. We had a pump outside our room that woke us up during the night with a high pitched sound which continued on through the early for hours. The breakfast was particularly poor. Considering the expensive price we paid for the room it was not great value given the above.

Loved the 18 Century building/ layout / vibe of place was more than expected for 3 STAR... would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. Staff were FANTASTIC and ALL were polite and really made an effort even with limited English.

No fridge in room - When I requested the Staff were fantastic and arranged replacement(Think the original must have broken down & removed??) next day staff had one installed in room so we could have cold water/drinks etc Really appreciated as the days are hot 30-35 degrees.

Indian breakfast was great, staff are super polite and helpful, the house itself is gorgeous. Very much somewhere where you could just hang out in the room and have a great time. I saw a lot of people complaining in reviews about bathrooms, but i think important to remember this is a heritage home not a fancy hotel. There are little things that aren't right with the property, but that's part of the charm

If you want five star luxury, this hotel isn't for you. But if you want french meets indian chic style with antique furniture, four poster beds you need the boxes provided to climb onto and an oasis of a courtyard for dining, then this is the hotel for you. The location is excellent being based in the french quarter of Puducherry. The staff are professional and knowledgeable. They happily accommodated an early breakfast for us when we needed to check out early on our last morning for a flight. Top tip ... ask for an upstairs bedroom. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again.

Beautiful historic hotel - our room was full of antique furniture and we loved it. There’s a nice courtyard area to sit in, which is also the restaurant. There’s no lounge with sofas - there is an area with a few seats upstairs overlooking the courtyard but it was very hot there.

We didn’t have dinner there because the menu was a bit limited - but partly because I don’t eat meat. Breakfast was ok. If you ask the hotel to book transport for you (eg a car + driver), be sure to confirm and reconfirm in advance and on arrival. We had an issue with this although the manager was helpful in sorting it out at the last minute.

I give 10 points because it’s just a great place, an heritage villa in the middle of French quarter and 200m from the sea. Don’t understand the complaints of other guests: If I choose a house like this, for such a money, I can’t and don’t wanna expect a 5star Hilton… Charming and most important: a very kind manager, who is always around and take care (he drove me on his bike to a tailor!!!)

We accept all the little things which are not perfect… The only what I wanna mention is the breakfast which could be improved!

The location is great and the restaurant is excellent. Beautifully restored old building and decor. We appreciated being able to change to a room on the first floor with daylight through the windows!

The first room we stayed in was on ground floor and windows facing courtyard so having daylight was a challenge. The bathroom was rudimentary in ground floor room.

It's an Heritage property which has been completely done up. The old photos are displayed on the walls. The tall doors with windows and furniture give it an ancestral home look. It also had a small balcony. The bathroom too has an old feel. The room has an AC and a fan as well Safe deposit locker is available.

The bed was a little high and the mattress bit soft.For older people it might be difficult to get in and out of bed although they have a pedestal. Would have liked if there was a television in the room. I also felt the prices were on the higher side not only this property but others as well on the French Quarter.

Firstly specify type of room you would like, DO NOT ACCEPT THE ATTIC ROOM. Good breakfast and good dinner menu. Nice wine selection and cold beer. The manager and staff were very helpful and tried to please. The property is charming and well located in white town. The beach is close by. A lovely courtyard to eat and drink in.

Such a beautiful quaint hotel, filled with wonderful antiques, was like stepping back in time. Wonderfully located in French quarter, perfect location to experience this part of town

Misunderstanding with booking.com and payment proceeding to hotel, which made an unpleasant comment for me with staff.
