We loved this property, and rebooked. For us it was a perfect blend of old and modern… we loved the room with 4 poster bed, ceiling fans and shower room. The communal sitting areas were great for afternoon tea or just chilling with a book; and courtyard swimming pool was fabulous for an early morning swim - extra towels provided. We also loved the location - in the old town and close to the promenade / seafront. The team gave us a warm welcome and offered plenty of advice on places to visit and local restaurants. We had the South Indian breakfast everyday - delicious.

Gorgeous guest house with superb service. The rooms have modern features like A/c and Water Heater but has not lost its vintage vibe. This multi storied property is conveniently located at the heart of white town with the beach just 1min away. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. They helped us with our itinerary as well as bike rental and return car rental. You can spend hours and the lobby by the pool doing nothing and enjoy every second of it.

Nothing to dislike about the property. Only suggestion would be to broaden the breakfast menu but the one that they serve is not bad at all.

The location, the beauty of the place (rooms, garden, terrasse for breakfast), the pool (even if small) is great to chill and get refreshed, the family rooms are large, the breakfast is very good, the staff is very supportive and at the same not too present (perfect balance). And super clean !

Nothing to be noticed out of a small detail (the bathroom was small and difficult to keep in a good state as the shower was open and ventilation was not strong enough)

It's an excellent place and located near the beach, food Street and mainly in White Town. The accommodation is very good and clean. Staffs are so nice. Everything seems good.

And the only thing which we hated too much was privacy. All the windows in the room are almost transparent, and the door has some gaps. And the elevation of the ceiling is too low, I just hit my hands twice in the fan. These things need to be improved.

The rooftop breakfast was fantastic and calming after a day of eating out. We enjoyed the large sized room and the relaxed feel of staying at a heritage property. In the room, charging points have been carefully provided at the bottom to avoid damaging the walls of the room when wiring the place which I appreciated. Bathroom has been completely redone with modern tiling and fittings which is nice. Hooks to hang clothes were present in the room though the bathroom could've used a few more.

The place is quite good in it's current condition. What would improve things (in my opinion) are: i> Repainting of the villa. It's quite possible that it was recently painted and I know that the Pondy sun and corossive coastal weather is merciless on everything but I feel that periodic and timely painting will better preserve the place. ii> Providing a mini fridge in each room. Walking around White town each day in the Pondy heat is exhausting and having access to a cold bottle of water in one's room without having to ask for one each time would be a huge plus. iii> The bathroom countertop could've been styled with Italian Marble or something better instead of the same tiles used for the floor. Also, a glass or mug to hold our toothbrushes and toiletries would've been good.

Location was very central, in white town, walking distance from the beach, cafes and restaurants. Staff was very warm and pleasant, they looked after all our needs and even upgraded us to another room. The front office staff - Roshan and Rita were very helpful, polite and courteous. The Chef cooked a super delicious grilled white snapper and it was an absolute delight to have our dinner on the roof top terrace restaurant, post a long day.

Just a suggestion, breakfast can be improved - better quality bread, proper omelettes, some cereal and filter coffee will be a great addition, to a boutique property as such. Also, some signboards to alert other guests that drinking, smoking and talking loudly late night is prohibited by the pool side, as it disturbs other guests.

I was given a very warm welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe. My breakfast the following morning was fantastic! I was asked if I wanted an Indian breakfast, as well as the omelette they were making me and it was sensational, I was also given a fresh watermelon juice. A really fabulous find, just a short walk away from the beach. Thank you for a great overnight stay.

Everything! It was a perfect stay with comfort and company that we will always cherish. Mr. Das was the perfect host and treated us with such care and joy. I had an accident while I was climbing the stairs and he just ran to my rescue and took care of me like family. He made us feel at home. We loved the property and how well it was kept.

Nothing. Everything was just perfect. We had a small incident with the night staff manager who spoke to us rudely just because we were having a drink with our dinner. His judgemental tone was a little offensive.

The attentive and helpful staff were always ready with a smile. As a small example of that little extra touch: on my first morning I asked for a refill of my tiny teacup. From the next morning onward, my tea came in a big mug without asking. I loved the antique colonial furniture and other deco elements of antique carved wood. The ambience of the place as a whole is great, with each level open to the air and to the pretty inner courtyard in various ways.

A couple of wall hooks and other places to hang clothes would have been welcome. My wardrobe had several clothes hangers, but there was nowhere to hang them except the wardrobe door and the curtain rod. There were a lot of mosquitoes at the time of my visit, and although the room had one of those fluid-vapour repellents, it did not seem to do anything. The mosquitoes just had their fun.

The location is very great as it is very close to the sea. The locality is amazing with very good restaurants and night life. The hotel common areas have lot of comfy seating areas.

The Breakfast had very limited option. No Oven, The bigger rooms Ac units might not be good enough for hot summers.
