We had a wonderful stay at the Udaigarh hotel. The hotel is in the heart of the Old city, located in a narrow street with a beautiful view over Lake Pichola. The best mode of transportation to and from the hotel was autorickshaw (Tuk Tuk). The location was quite safe. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth. The reservation information forwarded by booking.com was not complete but the receptionist was kind enough to sort it out himself. The nicely decorated room with an antique door on the third floor was spacious enough. The room had a view over the narrow street from inside and a view over the lake from the entrance veranda. During the day and late evenings, at times the hot water was available on-demand. The best part of the hotel was the rooftop restaurant space and swimming pool place from which one gets a magnificent view of Lake Pichola, parts of Old city and Aravali Mountain range. One could just sit and relax for hours enjoying the views. In the evening the ambiance was great with the temple bells ringing and chanting of prayers. The breakfast option included with the room at the restaurant had a limited mix of Indian and continental breakfast but were good. They made it on-demand as per one's spice level needs. Throughout our stay, we had dinner at the restaurant and tried different types of food including local foods like Dal Bati Churma, Keema Bati. Whether it was breakfast or dinner the food was authentic and very delicious. Having said that, there are also nice eating options nearby. The staff were courteous and friendly. The hotel receptionist provided us with good suggestions and information for sightseeing and arranged transportation for sightseeing. Major attractions like Jagdish mandir, City palace, Lake Pichola boat ride to Jagmandir from inside the palace region, and most of the ghats were at a walking distance. So, we needed only one day of Tuk Tuk ride to explore other places like the Fateh Sagar Lake region.

The hotel is in a fantastic location on the edge of the lake and the views from the rooftop are amazing. The staff at the hotel are great - very helpful and proactive in assisting you which really stood out to us! We really liked the room which was large and clean and in the heritage style.

The rooms are noisy at night. Soundproofing issues in heritage properties are to be expected but we were kept awake one night by guests in a separate room on the same floor. A silence after 11pm policy might go a way to improving this!

We recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and I can honestly say it is a favourite for us to stay in, when visiting Udaipur. The staff are lovely—so accommodating and kind. The location is fantastic, perfect for exploring the best of Udaipur. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and really lovely. It provided a perfect place to relax. The pool was also great and looks over the beautiful lake. I can hardly fault this charming little hotel. It’s a hidden gem, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Udaipur. We very much look forward to visiting again soon.

We had a perfect stay at Udaighar. The place is stunning. Breathtaking views from the pool and restaurant, gorgeous Luxurious room beautifully decorated, delicious food in their rooftop restaurant and amazing cocktails! We slept so well and the hotel is perfectly located for exploring the old town and lake pichola. The team at both the hotel and the restaurant are go out of their way to to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Special thanks to Raju and Fateh in the restaurant and to Rahul in the bar and reception. And to the lovely person whose name I didn’t get who nursed my foot when I injured it! The hotel is perfectly located. Magnificent roof terrace with the restaurant. Very nice reception and housekeeping staff. The hotel is located in an old building, it is nicely decorated, but it is not a typical haveli. Very good massage services.

The hotel is very acoustic, like many buildings of this type in Rajasthan. It's hard to have the comfort before midnight, especially since the rooftop restaurant closes at this time and all guests (mainly from outside) have to use the common corridors to get out. Very hard mattresses in the rooms, so the sleeping quality is average. Unfortunately we faced a very arrogant and unpleasant attitude of the restaurant manager, who changed our reservation to another one, motivating it with the wishes of other guests (local) from outside. Our table was reserved for a special family occasion. We confirmed it several times. I recommend this restaurant only for sunset photos. Great, friendly service and quality dishes can be experienced at the nearby restaurants.

We absolutely loved our stay at Udaigarh. The view from the rooftop was breathtaking, and a perfect backdrop to enjoy the delicious and plentiful breakfast. The rooms were lovely and the staff were really attentive and kind. Pradeep on reception was especially helpful in booking us onward train tickets and keeping in touch with us in the coming days to ensure everything had gone well with our travels. Really nice service and really great value for money! I would definitely stay here again if visiting Udaipur in the future. Thank you! :)

The swimming pool was under refurbishment but this didn’t matter in December as the temperatures are a lot cooler.

Udaigarh was a beautiful place to stay for a few nights on our tour of Rajasthan. we made a good choice stopping here for some days of R&R. we have visited Udaipur before so we're happy taking in easy and not trying to fit all the usual visits in. we utilised the pool during the days which was quier and barely used by other guests, the Hotel staff were polite. The restaurant staff (which is run separately to the hotel) is very popular and is busy of an evening which is good, lots of outside guests visiting. of an evening, the food was excellent and service impeccable. Our rooms were beautiful and spacious and the bed was so comfortable. it was great to learn that there had been. filming done there and some famous faces had stayed.

We had asked for a replen on some supplies in the room and we had to chase it twice over the course of a few hours which was a bit frustrating. The pizza served at lunch was barely edible, the restaurant did take it off the bill but not without a bit of persuading. There was one table in the restaurant that had the best views over the Lake. We tried to book it and were told that it had been reserved for 18 nights in a row for a single man to dine there. From what I understand, he wasn't even a guest at the the hotel. Bit of an arrogant move on his part, and annoying the hotel had honoured it.

The Hotel got a excellent roof top view facing the Lake and the little town view, a morning view makes the day more pleasant to start. Pictures of the lake and palace was wonderful. A family breakfast facing the lake excellent the rooms are spacious, we booked two rooms for the family. the facility in a old city , hence we can view the authentic buildings and next to city palace , so the roads are narrow , auto guys dropping to the hotel it is well located

The hotel has a lot of positives including great location, views, excellent food, helpful staff, large room size and clean. Would stay here again.

Room 101, wet room was a little small which meant some flooding in front of the sink, lack of natural light in the room due to historical sized windows. The kettle stopped working but was replaced promptly. Pool is unheated and needs more regular cleaning but is usable in warm weather.

Location, view, pool, decor etc are all really lovely. I’ve stayed there before and wanted to return. The staff at front desk etc are also very nice.

I find the restaurant being a separate business from the hotel (that’s what I was told by staff) annoying, I got hounded about paying for a 100 rupee drink right there and then, had to leave pool to go get wallet. Paying for it later even was clearly a real problem!
