A beautiful Haweli and this was my second stay. Good value for money and clean. The staff is absolutely lovely. Any wish is granted, if they can arrange it. Breakfast is good and so is dinner. I also like the location, tucked into a small alley but close to everything. This way there is less noise. The receptionist Kuldeep Singh Rathore was very helpful and spoke great English ! Also the boy that works nightshift walked me to get a tuk tuk middle of the night when I left. This place is really good overall and Incan recommend it.

Great location in heart of old city, but tucked away, so it's a little quieter. Room was very spacious and clean.The hotel has a type of internal courtyard, all white marble floors and walls (very clean) and spacious, with lots of mature pot plants. It was a lovely setting to open my room door to. Great views of the city and city palace from the rooftop restaurant. I didn't eat there, but the staff were super friendly and eager to help, eg frequently filling up my water bottle with filetered water. I'd definitely recommend Kota to friends/family!

I got a room with a window that didn't open and with curtains that weren't able to be pulled back, so it felt a bit like a windowless room. But, I couldn't argue given the price. I got a last minute deal on booking.com and paid about about 5200 for 3 nights.

Beautiful Haveli, better than the photos on the website. The common area and rooms were all white, clean and tastefully decorated. The rooms were spacious, cosy and comfortable. The Haveli is located quite central in the old part of Udaipur, we walked to all the touristy places (2-3 kms from train station). You can see the magnificent city palace from the Terrace. The food and service at the Roof top restaurant was top class. As we were scheduled to arrive quite late in the night at the Haveli, I ordered the dinner for us online from the train itself. On arrival, after 5 hours of train ride, the warm dinner was waiting for us and it was served with utmost care by the staff. The paid auto service recommended from the train station was quite handy for us bcz of the location of Haveli, you cannot get it to by car.

Limited access to Haveli. As it is located in a very narrow lane, taxis refused to pick us up from the Haveli for our airport transfer. So we had to either walk to the the closest car park which is 800 meters by foot dragging all our suitcases or take another auto until the parking point for our airport transfer. Hope the Haveli can offer Airport transfer taxi services for its guests in the future.

Very comfortable and clean. Very much appreciated the complementary drinking water. Close to the temple and city palace. Good food in the restaurant.

The only thing I did not like was the multiple messages before my stay asking me for details of my arrival for the pickup. This was most disturbing and created stress. When I stated they have the information, the response was all in upper case blaming a coworker. In the end the information was not correct and I was forced to pay extra to a tuktuk driver to complete my journey. This had not been clearly explained. When I spoke to staff about it they just brushed it off with an ‘explanation’.

Nice hotel with restaurant included for breakfast or dinner. Room service is also included. Room itself was quite spacious and basic amenities such as water bottles, tea and bathroom supplies were provided. Also close to City Palace.

The location is further away from the main part of the city as it’s sectioned off in alleyways but it’s close to City Palace (10 mins walkable distance). Rickshaws/tuk-tuks can get in but definitely seems harder with cars due to the narrow streets, so recommended to go further down where there’s space to grab car or taxi. No issues with the hotel itself.

The Location was perfect. Within walking distance of everything. 1 min walk and you are right in the center of it all, yet the Hotel is hidden away and quiet at night. I can recommend this place for Female solo travelers, as it was super safe and the door locks are like a Fort. Not all staff speaks English well ..some do though and everybody was always helpful. I had an early am bus to catch when itbwas still dark out and the staff accompanied me to the street and called me a tuk tuk. I was very greatful for that.

There are things that could be improved a bit but as far as value for money this was spot on !

The staff was very welcoming and assisting us with any request. We had bottled water delivered at our arrival and on demand all along our stay. The property is by the City Palace and the roof terrace offers a stunning view of it. The hotel restaurant is very good too.

It’s not really about the property itself but I’ve had to be aware that this part of the city is full of stray dogs that bark at night when temperatures get low. We’ve been awaken two nights in a row and the dogs were barking for an hour or more.

Beautiful hotel, all the leftover marble from building the Taj Mahal apparently went here. :-) Good size rooms, no issues with hot water. There's a rooftop area with stunning views of the City Palace and over the main city. Those marketing photos are real. There's an on-site restaurant and an available breakfast buffet. Room service is available and I'll recommend the Thali which was one of the more impressive ones I've seen. You can get beer, although you're limited to Kingfisher. Location is good -- you're not on the lake but farther back. But it's only a 5-10m walk and pretty much in a straight line. Still close to everything, we had no issues. A special callout to Vijay, Yogendra and Rahul of the restaurant staff for exceptional graciousness and help when both I and my wife were under the weather.

Be warned this is in the Old City with narrow lanes so cars can't get there. There's an airport cartel which from what we can tell forces you to be dropped off (and picked up) at a specific dropoff point (you can get a tuk-tuk the rest of the way). They force it even for Uber pickups. Be aware.

A very aesthetically pleasing and convenient property in the heart of old/touristy Udaipur. The location is 5 mins walk from Jagdish temple and 10min walk from Gangaur Ghat, lake pichola. Market, eateries, most of the tourist spots are very close and walkable. The rooms are spacious, clean with beautiful aesthetics, a total value for money. There's a rooftop restaurant which I never used. My stay in Udaipur was extended and I tried finding another hotel but liked nothing after staying at Kotra Haveli. The staff is courteous, especially the ppl at reception who are friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very beautifully decorated in traditional Rajasthani style & the white marble gives a calm vibe. If I ever come back I'll stay at Kotra Haveli and would 10/10 recommended others. Extra points for cleanliness, it's a steal deal at this price.

There's nothing to dislike but it's a bit of a walk to the hotel which is ok considering it is in a congested place. It is still In a better location than other hotels.

Our trip covered many Rajasthan destinations (e.g. Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Jaipur) and we wanted to stay in a"haveli". These are large private residences converted to hotels. So you can immerse yourself in the architecture and get a sense of what it may have been like. I will say confidently this was our favorite "Haveli". The haveli is in a quiet corner, away from the bustle but close to the main attractions, and transport is very very convenient. Starting with front desk, they are very helpful. The morning breakfast and staff are excellent. The rooftop terrace - can take Instagram-able photos; you have the Jagadish temple and the City Palace as backgrounds. The food in the restaurant for dinner and lunch very authentic to Rajasthan cuisine and excellent. The rooms, especially the furniture looks rich and authentic. We suggested some improvements to the bathroom and staff was very responsive to those. Additionally, my husband left his shoes and contacted the staff. They immediately speed posted the shoes to his home in Mangalore. We were very impressed. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
