Everything. You'll feel at home here. Ida and her husband Suda are extremely caring and sweet people. We really enjoyed our 3-night stay. The bungalow is spacious, the mattress is comfortable, and it's quiet at night (though you might hear roosters occasionally, which is quite common in Bali). Breakfast is simple but delicious—you can choose between pancakes or eggs (scrambled or as an omelette), along with fresh fruit. They organised a snorkelling tour for us, which we loved! Suda also drove us to Amed, so we didn't even have to look for a driver. If you're planning to go to Banjuwedang, I highly recommend staying here!

We absolutely loved our stay. The setting with the various bungalows in a traditional style, fountains and water beautiful . The room was beautiful, comfortable bed, nicely decorated bathroom, very good WiFi. The hosts were incredibly nice and offer also food (Nasi goreng and vegetable noodles were really nice and inexpensive even for Bali standards) and various activities in the area, especially towards Menjangsn Island. We will certainly go back in our next trip. We also include the photos of White Sand Besch which we loved and wheee we had excellent fried Maki Maki.

We made a plan here because of the activity like snorkeling (because this place is quite famous area for snorkeling and I heard that this accommodation provides reasonable price for any activity) but unfortunately my husband got bali belly just before we come this place so we couldn’t do anything while we stayed. The owner and all the staff cared and worried us everyday and they made porridge for him as well. I had breakfast and dinner here everyday and all foods were delicious, they were always smile, beautiful atmosphere too.

Only one thing I didn’t like was the location. The accommodation was bit inside so it’s bit hard to go any place if you don’t have motorbike but they do rental services though.

My friend and I had an amazing stay at Maha Nusa last weekend. Ida and her family are just wonderful and very kind. Ida is an organisational talent and very caring about her guests. It was by far the best stay we had in Bali ☺️. The bungalows are beautifully build and the place is quite and neat. There were also two very sweet cats who liked to accompany us. The place is a bit off the main road but if you don't have any transport yourself (like us), Ida and her family are ready to bring you everywhere you like in the surroundings. They also offer food for their guests at every moment of the day which was very tasty! We are both vegan/vegetarian which was no problem, we had some very tasty fried rice and noodles. Especially recommend their fried banana! We hope we can come back one day..

Perfectly clean comfortable hut, with nice touches like external blinds for the decking area, useful furniture and a lovely bathroom area with clothes airer, large mirror, great lighting etc. the shower was a rustic design and the water came out a bit like a hose, but this didn't affect the usage, just a different style. Bed super comfy and clean. The host was absolutely wonderful, recommending things to do in the local area, organising a snorkeling trip for us, and always offering food or drink should we need it. She was a perfect host! The place has a relaxing, calm vibe and perfectly situated for exploring the national park, birding and snorkeling the pristine waters. Set in a luscious green garden with resident cats, there are all the typical sounds of nature around and this added to the experience.

What a wonderful stay! This place is so lovely - really cosy, the bed was super comfortable, the air con was brilliant, it’s really nicely decorated, really clean, and Ida, Suta and their team genuinely went above and beyond for us. We mainly ate at the hotel where the meals were all homemade and genuinely delicious, including the breakfast which was pancakes, eggs, tea, coffee etc. They have a book of local activities and they organised us a brilliant snorkelling tour at a really reasonable price - I’d highly recommend booking direct with them if you want to do one! From here you can easily get to the Turtle Hatchery Project, Pathir Pusir beach and go snorkelling at Menjangan Island. Maha Nusa can also arrange pick up from Gilimanuk Harbour which I would recommend doing if you need it - we didn’t know what time we would be arriving so we checked in advance and decided to get a Grab when we got there, but when we arrived weirdly all the Grabs/Gojeks were nowhere to be found (at 5pm on a Saturday), and we ended up paying more than they quoted us in a taxi when we arrived (even after negotiating). They also had some lovely cats at the hotel which we absolutely loved (but you can easily avoid them if you don’t like cats!). The place has a really lovely feel about it and would highly recommend Maha Nusa if you are planning to stay in the area 😊

The town is a bit more remote than we realised, so I’d recommend hiring a moped - the hotel were really helpful and can also arrange taxis to get around, and they even gave us a lift to a few places! We also spoke to them about potentially having net curtains in the rooms, so you can have the curtains open for the daylight but without people being able to see in :)

Where do I start. The property itself is amazing and quiet, a fantastic room with ample space to spread out, great outdoor shower and toilet and everything was sparkling clean. We had the best sleeps of our holiday here. The best part about staying here was getting to know Ida and her family. Ida is the best host we’ve met on our travels, she gave us great recommendations to travel and experience around West Bali national park. She also got us great deals to go snorkelling, hiking, a temple tour with her husband and our days here were so full of great experiences that left us with very full hearts. Ida is also a fantastic cook, we loved having home cooked at Maha Nusa Menjangan. Easily the best Nasi Goreng I had and we ate lots of Nasi Goreng. Ida and her family go above and beyond to ensure guests have a great experience and I would highly recommend anyone visiting West Bali to stay here!

- Best breakfast we ever had in any homestay/hostel and most of the hotels so far (fresh coffee, fruit and self chosen homemade breakfast made from Ida). - Very friendly and caring host (Ida), who goes to every length to fulfil your wishes (organised all of our trips and activities, drove us to check out the beach and to the ATM - she even made us fresh breakfast twice at 3 am before we left for our tours). My phone got damaged and Ida offered to take it to the local phone repair shop - she ended up visiting multiple stores, because it was hard to find the exchange part for my phone - unbelievable. - Very cozy, spacious cottage.

Very kind and helpful staff, they are proposing nice excursions and transfers. Breakfast, lunch and dinner available. The bed was comfortable. The organised snorkelling trip to Menjangan was wonderful with nice guide !!

The room and bungalows look cute but if you look in details things are not of great quality; poor noise and heat isolation making AC struggling to cool down the room and you hear everything happening around you. The location is a bit far from activities (beach, temples at least 35min walking) but they offer scooter renting.

What a beautiful few nights we had at Maha Nusa Menjangan. The area is perfect to escape the busy south of Bali. The people in the small town and around are incredibly friendly and owner and her team are so nice. Ida (the owner) really made this trip to west Bali special to us. She always try’s to find the best solution for whatever you ask her for. She helped us to organise a snorkeling trip to Menjangan island (which couldn’t have been any better). The food and general hospitality she provides are amazing and her calm and warm hearted nature makes you feel so welcome. We extended our stay there and would go back any time.
