Premises are well maintained and large enough to go for a small walk within the resort. Nice trees and flowers to marvel during a stroll, lots of empty space. Free water stations near the rooms, nice patio area to chill in front of the rooms. Two pools to choose from, plus the natural hot pool and hot tubs (with sunset view).

Because the premises are so big, it takes quite a bit to reach things, so one has to plan a bit where to go and what to do to avoid walking back and forth. There's nothing surrounding the resort, so going out for a walk or dinner elsewhere is almost impossible without a car. - especially at night. There's no beach at this resort, swimming in the sea is not possible due to mangroves. The next beach is a car ride (or bike ride if you're up for it) away. Everything at the hotel is very pricey, from food to booking a snorkeling trip... at least double the price of what other places around the area charge.

Great resort, amazing staff, but too remote for us. We wanted beach access or snorkelling and thiught we would have it but the closest beach was at least 15-20 min walk away (assuming you didn't get lost on back roads). We had one issue with a group that must have been there for a conference / wellness retreat having activities in open air spaces and they were way too loud for other peoples enjoyment. We asked for a room change to somewhere quieter and management were amazing in accommodating this change. It wasn't as if we could readily escape from the resort. There was nothing around other than a couple of sub par warung and a bad massage place down the street. We enjoyed the snorkelling around the point of the mangroves Menjangan Dynasty Resort but the walk was too far so we only did the one trip there. Likely a great destination for people who want to chill at the resort and do little else. Loved the comfy beds and outdoor seating areas in the base level patio rooms (it was all that was available during our stay, but the villas look amazing). We also enjoyed use of the thermal pools late at night.

Maybe this is the place we can call paradise. Beautiful and well maintained garden. Very friendly staff. Super relaxing surrounding. Spa was also excellent and very good price as well. We are completely satisfied with our stay. I saw some negative review of the restaurant but it’s located just right front of ocean and you can see the mangrove. I could stay there forever. They had also wonderful cappuccino. Maybe the taste is depends on what you order. We totally enjoyed our stay.

We really liked everything. Sometimes the reaction of staffs were a little slow but it’s the style of this country side. Even made us felt more relaxing.

Lots of extra charges and not much options to eat directly near the hotel, you have to drive to permuteran (5 minutes with a car).

Everything was beyond expectation! The staff, the rooms, the facilities, the location, the spa and the food. They even had vegetarian and vegan options. The atmosphere was serene. The hotsprings were a nice addition. Mimpi also is considerate to their impact environment, they try to use as little throw away plastics as possible and provide the possibity for guests to participate in projects that have a positive impact to the local enviroment (i.e. planting mangroves, coral restoration). One thing Mimpi could still improve, is installing solar panels in order to be less dependent on fossil fuels. Thank you Mimpi for this amazing stay 💖

We loved our room, it felt truly romantic to us. The bed came with a canopy mosquito net, which added to the charm. In room 103 there was space to add an extra bed, though in my opinion it’s not suitable for children under 7, as the stairs to reach it are more like a ladder. The air conditioning worked perfectly. In the bathroom there were wall hooks for towels and a rack to hang wet swimwear. The Balinese-style semi-open design was beautiful, with a door leading through the garden in front of the room. This was very convenient after soaking in the private hot spring, as you could access the bathroom directly from outside without going through the bedroom. The room also had a refrigerator and a kettle, which was very convenient. The unit had its own gate that could be securely closed and locked from the inside, offering total privacy. Right in front of the bedroom was the private hot spring bath, along with a traditional joglo fitted with a mattress perfect for relaxing, lounging, or simply enjoying the outdoors. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We checked in late, but it was no problem The hotel grounds are quite spacious, so it takes a short walk to reach the restaurant. For guests, there is also a larger hot spring pool outside the rooms, a regular swimming pool with beautiful ocean views, a spa offering massages, a gym for those who want to stay active, and even a diving operator for exploring the underwater world.

The only downside is the distance from Denpasar, as it took us about four hours to get there. In addition, there aren’t many restaurants around the hotel, but we were already aware of this before our stay.

Spacious natural set up with many beautiful corners and lots of activities, dive shop on the property and enjoyable walks. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Restaurant is located in a lovely bay with beautiful views. Saw monkeys, lizards, butterflies, frogs, close to natural park. Natural hot springs were another additional bonus. Staying with a group and we really enjoyed yoga shala, shuttles to the beach, tasty breakfast and dinners. Special attention from Ms. Suandeni who was extremely helpful and supportive to group’s demands, Mr. Anto, Paju and other great team members.

Service in the restaurant was slow sometimes, but they really tried and that was the most important for us.

The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. There are several pools at different temperatures and the views are amazing. We visited early May so most of the time we had the place for ourselves. The views from the harbor are amazing and our Patio room was very comfortable. The staff was very kind. We have used their bikes for free to go to the beach nearby which is very beautiful and appears to be used mostly by locals.

The only thing that can be improved is the good quality on the restaurant after travelling in Indonesia for 3 weeks it felt below average. They also allow table reservations for breakfast but do not cancel the reservation is the guests do not show up. One day there were 3 tables on the deck but all reserved. We had decided to seat outside and were soon under the sun which was uncomfortable. After 40min when we finished our breakfast only one of the reserved table was being used…

The atmosphere is peaceful and calming, with lush greenery and a beautiful, understated design.　The furniture and decor in the rooms are tasteful and well chosen.The gardens are spacious, beautifully maintained, and add a lot to the relaxing environment.　Having access to a natural hot spring was a real highlight.The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The restaurant has much room for improvement, both in menu variety and food quality. There were quite a lot of mosquitoes in my private courtyard, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the hot spring and daybed. While relaxing by the pool, a monkey stole my bag and we couldn't get it back!! 　While it is understandable that the hotel cannot control the monkeys, I believe they should warn guests not to leave their belongings unattended by the pool.

We had no package booking but the restaurant supplied excellent meals. And views over the bay were gorgeous. The pools were set in lovely locations but we were surprised they were all pretty 'warm'. I understand they are hot springs but was (maybe wrongly) expecting one cool pool. We travelled in November 2024 so that could also have affected the water temperatures. Mostly the feel/layout of the gardens and the quiet vibe and overwhelmingly friendly staff made it a joy to be there - and not noisy/busy (yet!). The bathrooms are private but open air and had a very nice tropical feel. The travel from Denpasar was long - around 5 hours. But we knew that and prepared our plans around it. We thought it was a bonus seeing so much of Bali on the way to Mimpi. This would be a difficult trip to make if you were heading off after a late afternoon flight and travelling in the dark! If you suffer from car-sickness then sit in the front and take precautions before the ride.

Always tricky and really Mimpi staff could not have fixed anything. Hoping the government wine tax gets reduced!!
