Suberkima is an extraordinary place, the gorgeous villas are scattered around the hill, they offer lots of privacy and the modern design and natural materials blend in beautifully with the surroundings. Our villa, the pools, the restaurants and the spa, all offered breathtaking views. Both restaurants are beautiful and serve great food with lots of healthy options. The golf car is always available when you need to move across the grounds. We only booked two nights which we regretted, we hope to be back.

Suberkima is build around/in a village, which we loved!, but if you are looking for perfectly polished premisses this might not be the place for you. And the gym could use a bit of attention in terms of equipment and cleaning, it’s not up to the level the rest of the rest of the resort.

The facilities were great. The view from kesambi 1 was excellent. Sunsets and water views. Bathroom was fun. We got around on our own scooter. The shuttle seems handy though. As property is very large. Loved being intermingled with village people. Very friendly.

The cabin become very hot so we had to close all the windows and doors and lost our view if we wanted to stay cool inside aircon. The flooring entering the bathroom needs fixing. Dangerous under foot. We seem to get bitten even with doors and windows closed and mosquitos net down. fly screens would help a lot and on windows or doors. We were unimpressed about being charged $5 for accidentally breaking a simple small water glass. ( I have trouble with my hands)

Absolutely stunning place. The views were beautiful, food and restaurant staff fabulous, shuttle service convenient for transfers to diving and snorkelling place. The diving was brilliant too.

The only complaint we have is the villas we were in ( Kesambi 3 and 4) were quite noisy ( 5 am call to prayer) and motorbikes from 5.30 am. We will definitely come back but would chose a different villa or room further up into the resort. That being said we got used to the 5am call to prayer and it didn’t bother us that much in the end..

Stunning private and secluded location with everything available at your fingertips. Delicious good at both restaurants with the option to order room service for a small fee. Beautiful views and 2 communical pools of you happen to book a villa that doesn't already have its own private pool. Also beautiful soaker tub and both jack & full sink and showers

Our villa was open concept to outside and due to location there were many many mosquitos to the point we often had to hide in the room to avoid getting pestered. Would be nice if room came with a coil burner of repellant as well as bug spray or lotion. Also wished there was a robe and slippers in the closet which most hotels at half the cost included but this one did not. Not a deal breaker by any means but just something I found myself wishing we had at several points.

The villa and views to the Volcanoes of Java where fantastic. Also very nice restaurants with very good quality food. Sumberkima Hill is quite a large place on top of the hills of Sumberkima. They provide a free shuttle to get around. We also did a snorkeling tour around Menjanang Island with lots of fish, colourful corals and even a turtle.

One minor detail can be that the internet speed is a bit low for a place that advertises for digital nomads. On the other hand you do have reception all over. Also you get high quality and a beautiful villa, but the price is a bit out of range given the location and compared to the rest of the island.

An amazing view from a room with an incredible layout. We loved the sliding doors that opened up the main room to the pool deck.

The villas are very comfortable, open plan villas. The views from all the rooms were fantastic. Unfortunately, I went when the weather wasn't so great, but i enjoyed just staying at the villa and relaxing. The staff are extremely helpful and efficient. My villa had a great pool which you good swim and sit in. I also used the resort pools, which are great, especially at sunrise and sunset. The 2 restaurants serve lovely food. The excursions, equipment hire etc via the hotel is the same price or cheaper than booking it yourself. Great service This place is extremely good value. I'll be back.

Spacious villa with 250m2 floor space, great views

No private entrance, no gate to villa/property. Sumberkima has extended quite a bit over the last years, making it a large complex area now which feels busy.

Just incredible! Everything about the place is amazing - golf buggies to transport you around the site and yo another local restaurant in town, the delicious and ambient restaurants, the artisan lobby and the peaceful health spa. And the villas are breathtaking. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff - simply incredible value for the level of luxury and beauty and serenity at this special place.

We were in Villa El Nido for 7 days and it was absolutely gorgeous and exactly like the photos. With all villas you have to be clear about the following points: 1. it is an open concept, so there will be critters in the bathroom! 2. the retreat is very, very remote and you have virtually no chance of getting anywhere unless you rent a scooter and drive in life-threatening traffic. There is hardly any other chance than to eat in one of the three restaurants! There is a free shuttle for that. Nevertheless it is an absolutely perfect place to switch off and really start from scratch.

Unfortunately, construction is going on almost everywhere at the moment and there is nothing worse than starting the day with construction noise. But we were also unlucky because the construction site was right next to us. The tours offered are top or flop. Some not at all to use and even if they were free would be too expensive. But others are very good. But the retreat has to offer something to the guests. They do that well, even if many things could be better. Longer than 5-7 days I would not recommend, because the choice in the restaurants becomes boring at some point, especially for non-vegetarians!!! During the rainy season it is of course much greener and more splendid but then it rains continuously.
