The property was one of the bests we have been in. It is in a quiet area and you could not hear the mosque which gave us amazing sleep quality. Masran welcomed us to our room and showed us some of the best spots in the island as well as some restaurant recommendations. He helped us book a snorkel trip through the hotel and organise some laundry cleaning as well as rent bikes. Masran is one of the nicest people we met in Indonesia and he also speaks French! Breakfast was also great and you can even get a floating one for free.

Everything was great! Even the wifi which is not usually the case. The only thing I could mention in that the bikes did not have any light at night, but we quickly found out that nobody else in the island did, so we used our phone light and saw many people using a headlight as well!

Gilizen is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are beautiful, they are very clean and the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Masran and Zen were absolutely brilliant, they couldn’t be more accommodating or helpful. The breakfast was gorgeous and delivered to your room everyday. We hired bikes to cycle the island. You are very close to the beach and restaurants, it’s a little bit of a walk to the main shopping area and cafes so I would hire a bike as we didn’t do that until our third day and then realised it’s much easier! They will arrange snorkelling trips and boat trips for you as well. Overall, beautiful rooms, wonderful staff, yummy breakfast and the island is stunning!

Some of us found the bed a bit hard but that’s the only thing

Wonderful facilities, private pool was fabulous. Loved the water cooler in the villa, lots of places to lounge around and relax. Very comfortable beds, fans as well as AC was great too! Staff were very helpful and kind, nothing was a problem. Very close to the beach and some amazing beach side restaurants. Especially loves the floating breakfast that is delivered to your villa, this was a special highlight.

It's hard to think of anything, everything was so perfect. But if I had to write something I would say (and in no way the properties fault) it can be a little tricky to locate because of the little paths surrounding the location.

This was our second time coming here and it felt like coming home again. We like the location, the privacy and the outdoor area with the deep pool and the loungers.

The breakfast was a bit better last time and it seems that they were a little confused about who ordered what this time.

This is my second time at Gilizen. I love the pool and the atmosphere. The location is also easy to reach, not too far from the beach, but not too close either. The rooms are well-appointed and clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. If you want to snorkel, just ask the Gilizen team, they are very helpful in finding good spots for snorkeling and swimming with turtles (if you are lucky)

The private pool and terrace are lovely. Both get a lot of sun and feel very peaceful. The breakfast is generous and comprehensive. It's great to have it delivered to your room. The rooms are really clean and comfortable (and well lit!).

The resort is located down a dirt track. We came during dry season and even then, it was impossible not to be covered with dusty mud up to our shins each time we went out. The rooms are not soundproofed. We could clearly hear our neighbours. This may be because the bathrooms have an open skylight.

We were 2 girls traveling and at first we were worried about the location as it seems quite remote and secluded but it was very safe. The staff were so so lovely. Sat us down, gave us a map & drew directions for the best spots for food, sunrise, sunset & other scenic sightings. They prepared a beautiful message for my bestfriends birthday with the flowers around the villas garden. We also booked our private snorkeling through them & had someone pick us up then drop us off for a very cheap price. We had food delivered almost every night via whatsapp to the local restaurants near by - kicking back and enjoying our food under the stars by the pool. Very peaceful. Great place to stay for relaxation!

the sliding doors are very loud as it has a big gap between the wall and itself. One had no stopper so we would over slide the door leaving gaps for our AC to slip out leading us with a warm room

The best place I've ever stayed in! The villa was amazing, beautiful both indoors and out. The pool was big and incredibly clean, a nice patio, and pretty flowers and plants creating a relaxing atmosphere. A spacious bedroom with beautiful furniture, comfy bed. Big, soft towels, separate ones for bathroom and pool use. You get bathrobes, too! Good AC. As much cold drinking water as you need, there is a big bottle attached to a water cooler and the staff brings a new bottle if you run out. There's a small fridge also. Totally private, even the staff uses the doorbell and waits for you to open before entering, so it felt like our own house. Friendly and helpful staff.

The bathroom floor drain was quite clogged but that's the case everywhere. Didn't bother much and the water drained eventually, even though it didn't seem like it at first.

Great villas, amazing breakfast, nice pool, drinking water distributor in each villa, and very friendly & helpful staff. Liked that the bedrooms have both A/C and fans, and mosquito nets.

Need a fan above the dining area, the walls are so tall around the villa that no air circulates and it’s too hot around the pool to enjoy during the day. Lot of new construction next door so it’s noisy from 7am.

Comfortable bed and great aircon. The pool was always very clean and the breakfast was delicious, especially the smoothie bowl and pancakes... The staff very very accommodating and the check in process was extremely thorough. We were given a large printed map and the staff explained a lot of attractions and where the shops and pharmacy were etc. We booked this on a last minute deal so it was definitely value for money at the time although as we are traveling on a budget we wouldn't have paid full price. The villa had a fresh water dispenser provided which had hot and room temperature water. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for having us.

Only had hot water on the day of our arrival. After that the shower was always cold. Which is absolutely fine with us but as we are travelling with a young child things that don't usually matter do become minor inconveniences sometimes! We had a power cut the first night, which was fine but at such an expensive villa complex if we had been paying full price we would have appreciated a cheap $10 torch included in the villa or available at reception (so we can see our child at night when she wakes).
