The staff are awesome and the rooms are comfortable. The major selling point of Bale Sampan is its location. Easy walking distance to everything (including the ferry that gets you to the island). I will stay here again.

Like the rest of the island, the water pressure here is poor. Being close to the Mosque, you clearly hear the call to prayer time. The advantages of this place outweigh these issues.

Bale Sampan was the perfect accommodation for us! We stayed in the deluxe bungalow, which was lovely & spacious with our own private balcony. The bed was comfortable with quality linen. It is positioned on a perfect section of Turtle Beach with a beautiful restaurant - food is delicious! We ate our breakfast & lunch here every day & could not fault 1 meal. All the staff are extremely friendly & helpful with any questions. They helped organised all our hiring of bikes, snorkels & snorkelling trips for excellent prices. We will definitely be back to Bale Sampan next year.

Property is perfect

Property located 10min by walk from the port, so beach is much cleaner. They have their own sunbeds which are free to use for guests and restaurant on site which was super good! Many people from outside were coming there, breakfast lunch and dinners all were perfect. Silent at night in terms of parties, we did not hear any, but mosque is very close so during Ramadan it’s on till 12 at night and then again from 5am, but you can hear mosque from all over island, not a hotel fault just be prepare for it. Overall it was very comfortable stay in big bungalows , I would definitely come back.

We really enjoyed the stay here, it is perfect for couple of groups exploring Gili T. It is a short walk from the harbour and bikes are available for cheap rental so you can easily get around the island for sunset, snorkelling etc. the room was very comfortable and well equipped, the restaurant/cafe was very nice with very good range of western food but also traditional food if preferred. The pool is quite small with only a few subbed but most people aren’t in Gili for a pool lol and there are plenty of private sunbeds on the beach opposite. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and we would definitely stay here again is we choose to come to Gili T again!

We absolutely lobed Bale Sampan. It is such a gem. You can wall straight out the front, after a great breakfast, and literally swim with many turtles all day. The snorkelling at the front door is exceptional!!! World class and the staff were truly amazing. I would also like to give a very special mention to our cleaner Abdul who went above and beyond to male our room feel so special every day. He is such a great man and we cant wait to come and visit you guys again. Truly, 10 out of 10 in every way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Leaving.

This is a great location! You literally walk across the road (small road that goes all around the island so everyone has to cross) to a beautiful swimming beach. They have chairs and part of the restaurant right in the beach. The staff were so nice and helpful. Really caring. The rooms are spotless, nice sheets, towels and a comfortable bed! The breakfast was so good and the little super cute restaurant was poplar for people staying at the hotel and outsiders. But never loud. I’d heard this was a party island but it was quiet when I was there. I really love walking across the road and jumping in the water. They set up a snorkel trip that was so good. Right down the street you can do a cooking class or jewelry making. The hotel set up a bike rental for me and it was so fun riding it around the whole island. You can circle the island, it’s all beautiful and interesting, easy flat ride and about 7k. I wish I was still here.

Location is excellent! Right at the beach, with a private part with sunbeds. We didnt use the pool, although it looked quite clean and hidden from the boulevard. We couldnt have wished for a better reception than the one we had from Dhul Kifl. He gave us some welcoming drinks and refreshing towels while he checked us in. Rental bikes were also provided by him. We arrived earlier than the check-in time, however Dhul Kifl made sure our room was prepared as soon as possible so we could go to our room. Breakfast (however all food & drinks in general) is excellent. Should certainly try the fluffy pancakes and turkish eggs! Room was decent and clean with an outside rainshower. Abdulaziz suprised us with a nice selfmade turtle-towel. Staff is extremely friendly and are willing to help you with whatever you need. (Activities and general information about the islands)

Beds were a little bit hard, however this is a personal preference. Not a negative point, however one should be aware of the presence of all kinds of animals and insects and their sounds which belong to the typical island character. Especially in the bathroom, since the bathroom is partly outside. Would suggest to make sure that the bathroom door is closed to mitigate any insects or animals coming in the room.

Wonderful place to stay while on Gili T. It’s right next to Turtle beach and has its own beachfront loungers. There’s also a pool to cool off. The rooms are better than expected and the small touches make it really special. I also loved the outdoor bathroom (unlike in other places I’ve stayed in) which was clean and beautiful. Food is also great, so on New Year’s Day I ordered room service and enjoyed a lazy morning and breakfast service in bed.

Nothing bad to note! I did read about the nearby Mosque call to prayer bothering guests but the rooms are fully sound proof so I didn’t hear a peep when the doors were shut.

The staff were incredible - so friendly and helpful during our stay. The room was lovely and the hotel is set in an ideal location on Gili T - on the beach, further away from the noise of the beach parties but close enough to walk to many shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant Taste has delicious breakfasts on the beach and is open till late which was convenient. The hotel has sun beds and use was complimentary for guests. You can snorkel in front of the hotel which was lovely and Izu helped us book a snorkel tour. The hotel pool was also amazing - overlooking the beach and always clean. Really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return.

The staff were lovely.The bungalow was well appointed, with a well stocked mini bar & tea and coffee. The breakfast options were good. I loved the fact they were eco conscious with no single use plastics.. They used metal or cardboard straws in the drinks and refillable water in the room and a water cooler where you could refill your bottles.. The location was fantastic and you can snorkel right from the beach and see turtles. We loved it here and wanted to stay longer.
