We first stayed here in 1999 and have been back a few times. Wonderful staff and beautiful grounds, with 2 lovely pools. Good breakfast with great selection. We were upgraded to one of the front older Balinese style rooms. Very roomy with fridge, aircon and tv.

This was our final stay after one month in Bali. Was surprised that we were only offered bottled water the first day then had to go next door to purchase more. All of our previous accommodations had water refill stations with both hot and cold water. Also all others had paper straws instead of plastic. As from previous stays they really should upgrade bathrooms by removing bathtub and soiled shower curtains and put in newer shower stalls.

Masa Inn is a favourite of ours, We've started here four times in the course of the last twenty years. The hotel is well managed and the staff are always cheery, efficient and willing to help. Breakfasts are very good with a varied choice of eggy delights, cereals and fruits. The pool area and communal dining are pristinely clean and well kept. The pool is good for swimming and the loungers are comfortable. The rooms open out onto the swimming pool area, the beds are comfortable, will air-condition, fridge, TV and safe. Location is central to everything in Kuta, although not on the beach, it's a short walk away. Poppies Lane used to be a thriving street but it's currently going through urban renewal, it looks a bit tired at time of writing but new developments are coming.

Although the hotel is generally clean and tidy the bathrooms are extremely basic. A bathtub with a shower curtain, and a toilet with enamel scrubbed away. No doubt that they are clean, but they are worn and need replacing. The pool was treated with chemicals which turned coloured and tinted hair green - an unexpected fashion treatment.

Different choices for breakfast, they really did everything to satisfy different tastes and cater for different needs. Reliable WiFi, was down only once for maybe 30 min during my Four Werks stay und total. Could watch movies with it. Very very very clean: the pool gets tested daily and every few days chlored. Also daily thorough cleaning of the rooms and bathrooms. No mould or smell of urin like in different hotels still possible! Nice: twice a week indonesian breakfast (possible, noone forces to eat it = still american available) and then a real Person plays the Xylophone, also not like in other Hotels where the music is played by a cd. Great for handicapped people like me: They install a handheld (?) to the (only) two stairs so I can reach the room. And there are stairs with a stabile handheld at the pool, so I can access that as well. Generally speaking Masa Inn is for me always like coming home! I return since 2005 at least once per year😃

Breakfast was fantastic, lovely fresh food and really amazing friendly service. Hotel staff were so helpful and accommodating leading up to and during our stay. The rooms themselves are basic but perfect with nice cold air-con, hot shower, fridge and tv.

The mattress was very firm, possibly too firm

We were allocated a family facility of two rooms at the front upstairs. The rooms were very noisy. We were travelling with a 21 month old and rooms were inappropriate and there was no cot available. The shower and toilet broke and we were given new rooms. While they were still upstairs they were much nicer. Booking.com need to be able to say do not book a family room book two rooms next to each other.

I liked how Central it was…. lovely gardens/pool areas/staff were great and couldn’t do enough for me.

over all, there wasn’t anything to complain about. All staff friendly. I was travelling Solo for 8 weeks…. I was charged for 2 people …( one person pays $35 a night ) only thing that upset me.

the location is good and the pool is nice and not crowded..the staffs are friendly and polite too..

the room is a little bit rundown..might want to upgrade to a proper duvet and upgrade the bathroom..the lighting is also too dim which makes the room very gloomy..i also noted that the room that i got is not as per the photos which looks a lot better and updated..i think i got the room on the older block which a bit misleading..

Excelent location, in the center of Kuta, at the waking distance from beach (aprox 400 m - excelent for swimming of for surf), food street - 500 m, restaurants, shopps, spas and so on but still far from noise, Breakfast very good with many combinations possible.. Staff very polite. 2 swimmings pools with sunbeads and large garden. Perfect cleaning inside and outside room. Close to Authorised Agent for Visa Extension. Great value for money. Highly recomanded.

Nothing

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location was not exactly great, but with a few and don'ts this hotel rates up with many others in the vicinity. The cleanliness and attention wereNothing to detail. I will recommend this property to anyone who is looking at a quiet and peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle of beautiful BALI.

Nothing to be honest!

The hotel has some nice decorations and tyhe exteriors were good. Relatively good location near Kuta beach, but no perfect. The breakfast was ok.

Located in a really tight street with non existent sidewalks. Getting around by car was difficult, It was close to the beach but not that comfortable to walk since there no sidewalks and the bikes and cars were consistently stucked in traffic jams. It has more to do with the city than the hotel itself. The realtion quality-price was good since it was not expensive, but the hotel rooms need some renovations to keep to updated standards.
