Great location, within walking distance of the marina, local restaurants etc. I had a private room (with a/c and a fan) with shared bathroom. It was basic but comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms upstairs and down, which were cleaned by the staff several times a day. Plenty of toilet paper (I mention this as I noticed some negative reviews re TP). The hostel is quirky and charming, with shared spaces upstairs and downstairs. Plenty of areas where guests can chill. Electric sockets everywhere if guests need to work. Excellent wifi coverage throughout the hostel. The restaurant area is the hub of the hostel. Good food (lots of choice), drinks etc.. Staff are amazing - helpful, kind and considerate, always taking the time to smile and chat with guests. The staff helped to organise taxi to/from airport, also help with activities. I enjoyed the Kayaking to a small island. I stayed for a week.

The staff was very friendly, we had a private room where light would shine in constantly throughout the night because of a tiny window, they changed our room without any discussion The community areas and restrooms seem to be cleaned every two or three hours, I haven't seen that very often in hostels but the restrooms were always clean Rooms were clean and big enough, the first room we had was very small though AC and WiFi worked well The food at the restaurant was really good (recommendation: Tuna Sandwich), prices are a bit higher but it's worth it. The community area is also very big. Not too far from everything, we walked everything and it has been maximum 10 - 20 minutes They have a pretty good deal with one of the dive schools, you should check it in advance

The situation at breakfast is a bit frustrating, it takes ages for them to make new pancakes or bring new rice, breakfast took us well over 1 hour and it was mainly because we waited for something to eat Activities could have been advertised more actively We didn't mind, but there is only room temperature water in the showers. It's not ice cold but definitely not warm/hot either

La Boheme Hostel is a perfect place to stay in Labuan bajo. We stayed in the private room, but we came back after travelling through Flores island and stayed at a dorm as well. Both rooms were very clean, tidy and well kept. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean as well. It also has a kitchen/restaurant that you can cook a simple meal for yourself or buy food/drinks at a reasonable price. Also, drinking water refill is available and it is really great to see that the restaurant and hostel are both eco conscious. But what made our stay even better was the staff members at La Boheme. They always had smiles on their faces, helped with our questions anytime and were really polite and great to deal with. I have not found more genuine and kind staff members than at La Boheme and we will recommend anyone who comes to Labuan Bajo ! Thank you so much for your hospitality, we will miss you guys.

Nothing at all

We spent 6 nights at La Boheme Hostel in Labuan Bajo. We slept in an eight-bed dormitory. Each bed has a small locker and a curtain. The air conditioning is sometimes set too cool, but can be adjusted with the remote control. The toilets and shower rooms were always super clean. In addition, there was permanent drinking water and tea. Breakfast consisted of pancakes, fruit and nasi or me goreng. There are several great retreats such as a hammock, sofas or the chill corner at the reception. There is a lot of coming and going in the hostel, but this gives you great opportunities to meet other travelers. While staying in the hostel, you will sometimes be entertained by the beautiful singing and guitar playing of Charlos. He's helping you with every question, for example, he organized a tour to the Komodo National Park for us very quickly and easily. The hostel also has its own restaurant. We ate there every night as we enjoyed it so much and the waiters were so nice and funny. Jhon, Andrian and Rival not only entertained us, but also showed us great spots in Labuan Bajo and we spent many great hours together. Many thanks to the whole team! You made our stay memorable and hopefully we can come back sometimes!

The hostel had a really nice vibe to it. It was very cozy, the staff were really nice and there were a lot of backpackers of various ages. This is what I was looking for after staying in Bali which is very touristy and party orientated. I signed up for the Komodo island tour through the hostel and there were 5 of us who signed up for the fast boat which you then do with an external company. Overall an amazing experience and would recommend it to friends. Around the hostel you can see local people hanging out, fishing and playing ball games and you can watch the sunset. The hostel also has a roof top terrace which is a little scary to climb up to but soo worth it. There is also a mosque behind the hostel which adds to the vibe with the calls to prayer.

The beds were very creeky and there are plugs in the lockers rather than next to the beds but I picked a top bunk next to an extra plug and despite having stayed in fancier hostels, I had such a good nights sleep and I preferred it to other places because of the vibe.

There are actually too many things I want to tell you about this beautiful and unique place. But I will only describe the important points. Very friendly staff, cleanliness of the area and toilets (I don't know how they manage to have that many toilets but they all look very clean) bunk beds which I said were okay, the mattresses were comfortable to sleep on, the location is very close to the city center, you only need to walk, one more thing this hostel really cares about the surrounding environment, so they always clean the public areas around it. More than enough breakfast. And many more

The staff is truly wonderful! They make you feel like family, a home away from home. Jovi, Carlos, Ayu and the others at the reception made booking excursions and extending so easy. The bar staff and andrian are really good at there job and make sure you have everything you need. The food is cheap and super good, especially the fish. The sunset and quiz night organized by Jovi was super fun and good to meet new people. One of the things that make the vibe is all of the staff playing guitar and singing together.

The only thing that could be a bit better are the beds, they sleep fine but not the most comfortable.

We stayed three times here and every time there were some issues. They changed the room without telling us and we found out all our stuff were put in a different dorm when we arrived back in the hostel. The second time they gave my bed to another guest and when I told them they said ‘you can’t have two beds’ so they didn’t even listen. The third time they didn’t make up the bed of my friend and when we asked to do it they didn’t look what was on the bed and lost a good t-shirt of my friend. We asked politely if they had seen it and they just responded ‘maybe you lost it on the beach’. I think it’s important they take responsibility for what they do but they didn’t in any of the cases which changed our mind a bit about the hostel.

I’ve stayed in La bohème gili T and I liked it so much that I couldn’t skip La bohème in Labuan Bajo. The vibe is the same, very nice place with the restaurant inside that provides everything you want. The dorm are comfortable with all you need inside, AC and fans. The people there are very friendly and helpful especially Jovi and Carlos. You can go to the city center and the harbour by walking cause it’s very close or you can rent a scooter and go around and explore a little further.

-the social vibe and respect of the travellers exchanging stories -many common areas that invite for many different group hang outs -not directly in center but it's a walkable distance (and I m lazy)

-the electricity is very slow so unless you have a fast charger it will be very difficult -there are not many sockets in the room for charging at night or so so far away from the bed that if you want to charge over night and have an alarm on you might need to climb down the bed and find the phone first which is very annoying for everyone else in the room (get a portable battery for the duration of your stay) - if you are staying in upper bunk, good luck, the ladders are not attached to the bed so if you are not careful it might as well fall off, the beds are very wobbly and skinny so if you have your phone next to you it might fall off during the night (I tied everything next to me in a bag on the bed frame) -no WiFi in the rooms
