Stayed 3 days/2 nights which was the perfect amount of time to completely unwind and chill. The island is beautiful. The snorkelling and reef were great and the staff are super friendly. The food was delicious and there was plenty available. Free water also. I was a little apprehensive about the no fan, no aircon, but it was amazing leaving the tent completely open and just sleeping under the mosquito net (which I only saw two mosquitoes the whole time). The breeze coming in off the water was bliss. I opted for a glamping tent, beach front and it was perfect. Here are few tips: Leave your luggage at the office in Labuan Bajo and just take a bag with only the stuff you need. Which isn’t much. Wear your swimmers on the way over as it’s 3 hours before you get your tent. There is a wooden chest in each tent which comes with a padlock so you can store your valuables. Each tent also has bug spray and mosquito coils. It’s was hot. Make sure you have a sun top which is preferable to sunscreen. At the very least bring reef safe sunscreen. In the heat of the afternoon swim out under the dock and sit in the water in the shade and just watch the baby reef sharks swim past you. If you need a private transfer to return earlier (like I did to meet a flight) tell them when you arrive and they will have it all arranged - $1m Food and drinks get charged to your room and you pay when you check out. The house reef is amazing - saw turtles, blacktip reef sharks and a huge cuttlefish as well as puffer fish, lion fish and so many clownfish. The food was good, but the main reason to book le pirate is of course location, location, location.

If you want to have your tent open at night the mosquito net blows around everywhere if it’s windy. If you could add weights to the net to stop this from happening then that would be great, especially as having the tent open allows for the breeze to come in making for a comfortable nights sleep!

I don’t really want to write this review, because this place is a paradise and I would like to keep it just for myself😀. But really if you are coming to Labuan bajo, don’t even bother to stay on the main island (yes there are some good restaurants and you can do a boat tour, chase some waterfalls, but otherwise we haven’t found a single nice beach). This place has it all - picture perfect beach with the white sand and crystal clear water, healthy corals with marine life - we saw turtles, black tip shark, lot of fishes. Every other night there is movie night on the beach with popcorn or bonfire night under the many stars - loved it. Also there is a cute gym, beach volleyball, kayaking, lot of table games, ping pong. So I can guarantee you, that you will not get bored. Also there is a Sea Creature diving ,,office,, so you can do a try dive or you can book a full day of diving trip in the Komodo’s (boat will pick you up). I really recommend to go diving with sea creatures, they are the best! Great and professional stuff and equipment - snacks and lunch on the boat. We saw mantas, turtles and many more. The breakfast and overall all the food (they cook by themselves)we had was delicious! Happy hours from 4-7. Sleeping in the beach hut just a few meters from the sea was magical, fresh breeze so you don’t even need aircondition. Waking up with the view from the beach hut really made my day. Last but not least the staff of Le Pirate Bay are the best! They wake up very soon every morning to clean the beach, prepare the breakfast,welcome new guests…and many more. They really do they best to keep the le pirate island clean and secluded. They help you with everything. Thank you very much for taking such a good care of us. I think at least 3 nights are a must. You really won’t find beach like this near Labuan bajo if you won’t go on a boat trip or to le pirate island. The boat which take you there leaves at 10 am in the morning and the boat on check out days leaves at 2 p.m.

I had a really nice stay here. The staff was very friendly. There is no Wifi and i loved it. You meet a lot of new people, everybody was so relaxed and nice. I took the full package were the food and snorkel equipment was included. They give you 2 or 3 options for lunch and dinner. I loved the food. Water, coffee (and cookies ;) are free to take. I stayed 2 nights, it was perfect. They also organise some activities at night like a movie-night under the stars.

There is only 1 free shuttle to go to the island at 10am and 1 at 4pm to go back. The check-in is available at 2pm and check-out at 11am. You need to spend some time there without a room.

Very relaxing place, snorkelling there was fun with lots of fish. The food was excellent and high quality. The staff are wonderful, funny and always helpful. Any issue I had was dealt with quickly. The other guests were also nice, a younger crowd.

There is no fan or aircon, which is fine as there is a nice breeze at night. Unfortunately my glamping tent was behind others which meant minimal breeze at night.

The houses are beautiful, with more than enough space and very well designed. You can find a huge variety of corals and fish while snorkeling just at the beach there. Turtles, sharks, stone fish and so on and so on. The staff is very friendly and the food good.

They are working together with a diving school called sea creatures, who are present also on the island. We wanted to book a diving trip and first wrote them a month before our arrival. The date has been confirmed with them via messages. During our stay we asked again for confirmation and every day it has been postponed NOT due to weather or current issues, but simply because of miscommunication and simplified excuses. I was really disappointed because one reason of coming here was to go diving in one of the most beautiful diving places in the world. But snorkeling in front within in the coral reef made it up a little bit.

Le Pirate Island offered us an incredible experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The island itself felt like a true paradise, with a serene atmosphere that made us feel like castaways on a deserted island. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ensuring we felt right at home. The food options were diverse and delicious, catering to all tastes with chicken, fish, burgers, and vegetarian dishes. We loved the charming souvenir shop, which had beautiful T-shirts and other keepsakes, as well as the many board games available to keep us entertained while waiting for check-in or checkout. The activities were another highlight—movie night under the stars on the beach was magical, and the bonfire after a thunderstorm with singing, was unforgettable. Snorkeling was also a fantastic experience, with vibrant marine life like colorful fish, mantas, and baby sharks. We also enjoyed playing table tennis and soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

However, there were a couple of drawbacks to our stay. While we were upgraded to a beachfront glamping, construction on a new glamping behind ours began early in the morning, around 6 a.m., which was disruptive and the open-roof bathroom design in the glamping made us feel watched. Despite these minor inconveniences, our overall experience was wonderful, and we would highly recommend Le Pirate Island to anyone looking for a tropical escape.

Paradise place, what i miss this place is Baby sharks 🦈 🦈 🦈 omg they are live in this island 🏝️ 💕😍 Staffs are very polite helpful n friendly, the manager Gabby is very kind and nice person. Foods are delicious 😋🤤 Been there two times for my bday trip. For sure will go back again and again 😉 ❤️🖤 Love so much le pirate thank you , 💞💞

When i was there stay for 4 days. 2 days lot of wind 🌬️ i was stay at hut 🛖 and in the night like a turbulence bec big wind. Well it is a nature, so i upgrade the room into Glamping which is more safe, comfortable also has a private bathroom and that time wind is stop 😄

The unique beachfront bungalows are simple but charming, providing a real 'castaway' experience with the comfort of modern essentials. The island's clear waters are perfect for snorkeling, and the beach is ideal for unwinding. We even spotted a baby shark at the beachside. Staff members are friendly and go out of their way to create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere, often organizing fun activities like sunset dinners and live music. Although there’s no AC and limited electricity, it fits well with the island's charm

I would suggest the Operator to reconsider the boat time at 9am, since we can only check in at 2pm. Reschedule the boat to afternoon at 12noon, so outgoing guest check out don't have to wait for so long.

What a wonderful discover Le Pirate Island . We spent 3 nights in this beautiful island in Indonesia . We stayed at the Glamping beach Hut and it was beautiful. Right in front of the Ocean , with an open bathroom and a wonderful Vibe . You had everything you need and we slept under the stars with the sound of the ocean . It was pure magic. The snorkeling there was insane right in front of the resort … corals , fish, turtles , baby sharks … no words to describe it . Sunset were spectacular each night and food was Great too with A là carte option. They offered also packages which included lunch dinner and activities . The staff was super friendly at all time and make us our stay even better. They really care about the island , the corals and the enviroment around which we really really loved . Thank you for making our stay so magical. We will never forget .
