Super friendly staff from the moment I hit the place, and a modern and comfy room. The cafe and terrace views of the sea and marina were incredible. Great for a sunset drink and a short walk to the nightly fish market and other great eats. Nice to get a flat white or latte included in the free breakfast 👍

I'm sorry to add this as I loved everything else about the place , but it's to help future guests!The so-called "seaview" was blocked (except for a sliver of a view in one corner of the balcony), by three large canvas shade-covers...to protect the terrace below. Maybe the room description could describe it as a "limited seaview"?!

The noise, although the hotel does mention noise from nearby bars, the 3.50am prayers took there toll! The balcony doors do not shut properly in room 302, hence the would not lock which didn't help with the noise

The room is very clean...and the general ambience of this hotel so cool. This is a small hotel so it is not so busy and crowded. We love the scent in the room. Our room has a balcony and the view is amazing! I like the simple breakfast and the cafe serves delicious food and cakes. Ok

Lovely hostel, very clean and the beds were bigger than average and very comfy and air con in the room was very good Breakfast everyday was delicious with a gorgeous view and they kindly prepared a takeaway breakfast for me when I had to leave at 5am Good location easy walking distance to main town but nice and quiet Food in the restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced Staff were all very friendly and helpful

Room and bathroom opened out onto the main patio and didn’t feel very private, felt a bit awkward going for a shower in the evening while people were sat eating dinner

everything! the view from our room is so gorgeous! sunsets are 100% room & bathroom are clean. well done team 👏🏼 overall deco of the premise is simply beautiful. every spot is insta-worthy! staffs are polite & friendly. you guys did great. keep it up 👍🏻 location wise is great. just walking distance to the town area. there's even scooters for rent, we utilise every single day cruising on the rented scooters 🤍 we will definitely come back to Escape Bajo the next time we visit Labuan Bajo. thank you for the great service!

We loved this hotel so much we booked it 3 times. The staff were super kind, warm, friendly, always smiling and ready to help and give tips (shoutout to the receptionists!!). They kindly allowed us to keep our luggage at their storage facilities on a number of occasions while we roadtripped around Flores. The food was tasty, and the almond cappuccino was the best we've had during our whole trip in Indonesia. Guests also get a flip-flop and bamboo toothbrush!

We visited during Ramadan so this is in no way the hotel's fault (and we were also prepared for it), however during prayer times it was quite noisy as LBJ's PA systems are close by. The rooms without a view are better suited for those who want more peace and blissful sleeps.

- They have walky-talky's to communicate, this isn't a very pleasant noise when you are there to relax/unwind - The room isn't that soundproof and there's a mosque close by. In the morning staff members can also be more aware about this and try to do there work more quietly. Rooms not being soundproof is often the case in Indonesia. They are aware and warn you about this and in theory they offer earplugs, but that was out of stock. So bring your own if needed.

Location - 5 min taxi from the airport. Grab doesn't work but you can barter with the taxi drivers on the day (we got a ride for 70k). 5-10 min walk to main restaurants in the area which is ideal. Hotel - great views, rooftop, café and lounge levels offer multiple options to watch the sunsets. The views were spectacular and unobstructed. Our room was a little small and basic but you visit this part of the world for the nature, so a comfortable bed and airconditioned room is all you should want. Great coffee and breakfast options for the morning and you can eat dinner here, although I would recommend visiting the restaurants in the town centre as there are a lot of options to choose from. Hotel can offer breakfast for any early sunrise excursions which was useful but you have to give them a days notice. They also arranged a car taxi (although pricey) back to the airport which was very nice. The hotel provides a speedy and cheap laundry service! Staff - everyone is very friendly although sometimes we did have a language barrier to overcome (but this is very minor).

The room we stayed in would have been a lot nicer if it has a wardrobe/hanger for our clothes and suitcase. A lamp would have also provided some warmer lighting for the evening. The bathroom was a little bit dirty but this is very picky. Lastly, the window doesn't fully close so there is always a risk of mosquitos, although we sprayed some repellent on ourselves and we were fine.

Super clean and comfy hostel - selected a dorm bed. Shower and toilet facilities were pretty clean and right next to dorm room. Quiet hostel - good to chill out and enjoy the view

The music from the restaurant started playing around 6:30-7am which made it difficult to sleep. Also the restaurant lights were never turned off so there is always light coming into the dormitory. Luckily I had a bottom bunk which had privacy curtains. The top bunks however do not have curtains.

The view of the harbour from here is lovely. You get to enjoy your welcome drink in the cafe or your breakfast on the terrace overlooking it. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The property and our room were very clean, AC worked great and very decent water pressure. Filtered water provided in the room and machines available to refill from. Also very grateful for the mosquito spray in the room as they are around this coastal town! The included breakfast was also delicious! Just a short walk up the hill from town, 5 min drive from the airport. They also stored our bags for us while we were away on a liveaboard trip around Komodo.
