The location of the property is absolutely amazing with its stunning views. It’s great for spending your evenings by the pool overlooking the valley, and enjoy the sun set over the rice patties. The bungalows are oriented towards the valley, so it offers a marvellous sun rise from your bed side. Of course all very clean, with a private garden at the back. Staff is very kind, as it is kept as a high standard along Indonesia. They were extremely helpful in booking our activities and transportations with a fluent communication. Our bags where kept here in storage while doing the Rinjani trekking and at conclusion we could freshen up, which was very welcome.

The restaurant is about the only place to eat properly in Senaru, and they take a little advantage from it in setting their price, which is rather expensive. The quality of the food was oke, but not they best I’ve had Indonesia. Extra requests for breakfast were kindly met without any charge. It’s best to bring cash to pay all extras, as a 3% supplement is charged for all card payments.

Dramatic settling, built into the side of a deep valley, with great views of Mt Rijani. The two cliff-edge infinity pools are a memorable swimming experience! The room was immaculately clean with great AC, lots of storage, a comfortable bed, and a luxurious, semi-outdoors bathroom. The grounds are lush and well-mantained. The staff are friendly and helpful, sorting out a couple of issues that we had quickly and effectively. There is also a good-value laundry service.

There are no sun loungers around the large pool (next to the restaurant), so all of the guests use the smaller pool by the bedrooms. This caused some overcrowding at times. The biggest issue at the hotel is the restaurant: the food is good but the service is incredibly slow. On our first evening, we ordered main courses about 8pm but they were not served until about 9pm; we were then told that we were too late to order dessert (at the same time, a member of staff was eating ice-cream at another table!). We ate out at nearby restaurants every other evening.

The room was magnificent, bed was huge, bathroom was just gorgeous- could not fault ANYTHING. Evening meal and Breakfast was amazing. And finally the views are complete out of this world.

When we went to dinner and there was a backpacker with no shirt on laying down over the dining chairs. It was busy and tables were limited and he occupied an entire table to himself. We were respectfully dressed and his bare feet close to the back of my dining chair. If you dine at the restaurant and you are allowed to use the pool THEN at least be a little more considerate of the FULL PAYING clientele. Personally, I didn’t like that , plus they still wandered down into the guest area anyway not factoring in that they are not supposed to. I saw this happen on numerous occasions.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our 2 week holiday on Lombok and I could have easily stayed the whole 2 weeks. The views and the design of the hotel were breathtakingly beautiful. The location was so relaxing and peaceful. I thoroughly enjoyed lying on the daybed on our terrace watching the birds, lizards and monkeys. It is worth getting up early to watch the sunrise, it is incredible from here. Our room was so comfortable, I loved the outdoor bathroom. The breakfast choices were very good and there was plenty to eat. I loved the Lombok coffee and the different fruit juices. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant too, there were lots of choices including vegetarian choices and it was always delicious and very reasonably priced. The location was perfect for exploring the north of Lombok. We visited the 2 waterfalls nearby which was a lovely, relaxing walk and we visited Sembalun from here which is well worth the trip. There are plenty of restaurants within easy walk up and down hill from the hotel, a few small shops and a handy ATM machine. The staff here are all so friendly and helpful too. We cannot recommend enough.

The outlook from the rooms and restaurant/pool areas is awesome. Room very spacious, bed very comfortable. Bathroom spacious with a big bathtub. Food was excellent and the room service was very responsive. The day bed on the big balcony was excellent. Bar fridge very cold, tea & coffee making in the room is great. Pools and outlook from pools excellent. Laundry service was appreciated; it was efficient and inexpensive.

The bathroom had brickwork near the ceiling with holes to allow ventilation, but it was also a way for mosquitoes to enter. We kept the bathroom door closed. The open shower allows a lot of water to spray out onto the floor (and onto the toilet paper holder). 2 bathmats would be helpful. The top rooms (incl ours) have steep stairs leading up to the door, so not suitable for everyone.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The grounds are lovely with so many beautiful flowers and plants, amazing views of the volcano and lovely infinity pool. We did the half day panorama walk with guide Karni, who was so knowledgable about the local area and even took us to see her parents home. The waterfalls were spectacular and so interesting to hear about village life and all the amazing crops that grow in the area. The food at the hotel is very good and there are also good warungs and bar nearby. Very relaxing place, with lovely, friendly staff

Incredibly beautiful views on mount Rinjani and through the valley all the way down to the sea. Comfortable pool with awesome views. Very nice 5hr trekking through traditional village, rice fields and waterfalls with great guide (Wade) that is also doable with small children (2 and 4 yrs old - we dis carry them for a big part in back carriers). Decent food in the restaurant. Very friendly and extremely helpful staff.

The rooms were in dire need of refurbishing with e.g. desk lamps that were hanging loose and ac fan panels that were broken. No attention was paid to in-room atmosphere (e.g. harsh tl light, no decoration). Staff is extremely friendly, but service at times feels rather “scripted” (exactly like the general explanation in the school book, without adjusting for the specific situation) and a bit clumsy. Massages were horrible. Two different masseuses were constantly calling and texting on their phones while giving (sort of) a massage. After several warnings we just sent her off…

This is a good value lodge. Spectacular views to the east and the gorge where the waterfalls are (although you can’t see them from here, but you can see paddyfields), with spectacular views of Mount Rinjani particularly early morning before the cloud sets in. We booked a deluxe bungalow which was very spacious with partial outside bathroom, set in beautiful gardens with lots of viewing platforms (which were not particularly suitable for children given the low safety rails). TV and fridge in the room and coffee making facilities. The property has lovely infinity swimming pools (including one open to the public if you dine or drink at the lodge). Very friendly and helpful staff (which we have found all over Lombok) and very good local evening food, with beer available at eateries but also at some of the local stores. Breakfast was tasty, although note that coffee choice is either Nescafe or Lombok coffee, the latter being very strong! The lodge is very close to one of the entrances to the waterfalls and the walk down and up is not too strenuous. We did the panorama walk with the waterfalls with a local company called “Rinjani Women Adventure” who I would strongly recommend as they support the local community and ensuring females are in the workplace. Would definitely return to Rinjani Lodge if we returned to Senaru.

Absolutely breathtaking view of Mount Rinjani. Fantastic location, easy walking distance to the entrance to nearby waterfalls - make the effort to visit them. Food was very good, varied menu with good quality choices. Infinity pools are fantastic, not many guests using the area so very peaceful to swim and lounge around. Beautiful sunrise - set your alarm if you need too, it's worth it. Excellent value for money. The hotel staff co-ordinated early morning taxi departure for us to travel to the airport, even came in early to prepare breakfast boxes. Excellent customer service, extremely hospitable and made our stay a very enjoyable experience.

Senaru is quite remote, so there's only a few local places to eat outside of the hotel. Having said that, there was no need to venture out of the hotel really, you'll find everything you need for a very enjoyable stay on site.

Just perfect! The views are incredible, the whole place is well maintained & clean, the pools were clean & beautiful, the staff excellent , the shower pressure was good with plenty of hot water, lovely bathroom, great terrace with the views. Yes we'd love to stay again.

The bed frame creaked loudly when anyone moved . The staff in the restaurant are not well trained it feels, though lovely & friendly. Communication & understanding what we were asking for wasn't great & meals could be a surprise rather than what was ordered. (Noting that their English is hugely better than our Indonesian 😁)
