Small boutique style hotel with beach front rooms

Quite close to road. Sound proofing isn’t great so first nights I could hear everything from scooters , nearby bars music till late, dogs howling at midnight . After that I got used to them and don’t hear them anymore except the lapping waves which was great

Disappointed as we booked thinking we could Snorkle out in front. There was no Snorkle gear to rent anywhere close. The walls and windows are thin, you can hear others especially if you are a light sleeper.

Sunrises cottages are beautiful. They are perfect for someone who lives the sea but hates getting sandy. It was incredibly peaceful but do bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as the sea crashing against the wall can be very loud! The staff are all lovely and the ladies who made the breakfast always did an amazing job. There are plenty of restaurants/bars that you can walk to and plenty of tour guides/drivers that can take you to do anything. The reception staff were very helpful at organising our requests. Definitely use the spa/massage service that they offer, someone comes and collects you and takes you to their spa that overlooks the sea. I stayed here twice in one holiday, firstly with a friend and then came back on my own as I loved it so much. Was the perfect quiet retreat after a busy few days in ubud and I felt perfectly safe and welcome!

There isn’t much not to like about this hotel. I forgot to choose the option for breakfast to be included but this didn’t matter as breakfast and a drink is only £5 which got added to my overall bill.

Our family's stay at Sunrise Cottages was nothing short of magical. The direct beach access was breathtaking, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall ambiance was incredibly peaceful. What truly set Sunrise Cottages apart was the exceptional staff. Their kindness and dedication went above and beyond. When we accidentally left some belongings behind, they went out of their way to deliver them to the harbor, ensuring we didn't miss a thing. We also forgot our Swiss adapter and first tried to buy one on Gili Islands but it it was impossible. The staff of Sunrise cottages arranged it as well and sent our lost Swiss adapter with one of their guests who also went to Gili. The food was delicious, adding to the overall wonderful experience. We can't thank the Sunrise Cottages team enough for making our stay so memorable. We highly recommend this idyllic retreat to anyone seeking a serene and unforgettable getaway.

Amazing location just by the beach. In the same street you can find good restaurants and a great snorkeling/diving club called Noosa The staff is very helpful and nice The room was clean, cute and comfortable The exterior looks very pretty and well maintained We had a great stay overall and recommend the place

The included breakfast is a bit of a joke. Even something as basic as expresso wasn't included and you'd have to pay an extra fee for it (the coffee option included was a cheap, very bad instant coffee). Most places will offer juice + hot drink but here it's one or the other. Overall the included breakfast felt like they were being tight with money, which leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you pay 900k Rp a night. Also the advertised private beach isn't really a beach, it's basically a dangerous stair going into the sea. It's still nice to be able to jump into the sea right from your hotel. But the stair needs fixing before someone slips and gets hurt.

Everything was great! The view is spectacular, the pool is really nice, the rooms are spotless, comfortable, and reasonably well appointed. The restaurant food was excellent and I really enjoyed the provided breakfasts. The best was the level of service provided by Alit and his team. They are available for long hours of the day and they are super helpful and friendly.

I thought everything was great. Maybe nicer soap and shampoo in the bathroom. I was happy with everything else.

Perfect location right on the beach front and nice pool, with good breakfast. Great restaurant next door and lots of others nd cafes you can walk to nearby. Stayed for our anniversary and the team out a nice tribute in our room in bamboo leaves. Sunbed loungers were comfy, got Netflix on the TV and had a lovely bath with view of the ocean. For the money paid it was really good value, we were only there one nigh, as was a last minute stay due to our original villa being poor but had we known about this one would have gone straight here from the port and stayed both nights here.

Other reviews are correct walls are thin and you can hear the waves all night but I found it a nice noise to fall to sleep to, so I rather enjoyed it.

I rarely leave reviews, but this beautiful place deserves all the praise. The location is superb! This is one of the very few places on the island where you can swim and snorkel as other beaches have strong waves and currents. The reef, which people pay to see, is literary right outside your room, so do bring your snorkels! It is also the best place for sunsets and sunrises. Just imagine waking up and falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves, as the sea is just a few meters away from your room! It was the most magical sleep I have had in years! My husband and I stayed at a 5* resort afterwards, but I kept missing the Sunrise Cottage and wishing we were there instead. The staff, especially Ketut Alit, were incredibly helpful. Ketut let us borrow his scooter on a few occasions to go for a dinner and lunch and escorted us to our snorkeling tour. Ketut also helped us secure the most cost-effective tour deals. The level of care, kindness, service, and love that Ketut and the team have put into the resort and its guests make it the most special place for me personally. I cannot wait to return to Penida, and I will definitely stay here again! Many many thanks to Ketut Alit and the team! Your beautiful home has left a special mark on my heart.

The two best features of this sweet place are the staff and the location. A delicious breakfast is served quickly on the little deck overlooking the ocean with views of the mainland. The pool was lovely. Access to the beach out the front may be a challenge for some, but we didn't find it difficult.

Some might have issues with the couple of water leaks that pool on the floor during heavy rain. However, this didn't hinder our stay whatsoever.

Bollywood restaurant is about 2 km , excellent Indian food 6. Hotel allowed to use Scooter for a short time for going to restaurant late evening 7. Good smoothy at breakfast

high tariff compared to other options in Island and Bali in general Do not go with expectations of sunrise , as it is seen during some part of the year
