The cottage was more traditional than a standard hotel room. Unlike others, I thought with Asian plumbing that the outside bathroom was a great idea! The staff were lovely and went out of their way to help. The pool was clean and clear and empty (there are a couple of broken tiles needing repair)! The cottage was only a short walk from some restaurants and a new pool bar has just opened straight across the road. I seriously think some people giving low scores need to stay at western hotels or stay home.

A few minor changes have been suggested to the staff - a teaspoon in the room, some hooks on the wall in the bathroom - nothing significant. Sure, the hill up to the bungalows is steep, but it is only 100 metres and without the hill you would not have the views. The breakfast many have complained about provided at the Warung at the bottom of the hill was fine once I downloaded a couple of photos to identify what I wanted!

Well the view was just amazing from the room and Balcony --- You get to see Bali with mount Agung in backdrop, divided by the sea. As the hotel is on a hilltop the short ascend enables a beautiful viewing angle which gets even better from the pool side. The famous "Rich Penida" --- (arguably one of the best restaurant in Nusa Penida),is right beside Petak. Also the popular little papaya spa is just 5 mins walk. Petak can arrange car for your tours and comes at a very affordable rate for inhouse guests. I think they have plans in place and are working on already to renovate both the room and outdoor facilities --- some of them need attention.

The view from the balcony was idyllic. The room was immaculate Balinese style with all required modern amenities. The service from the friendly staff was excellent. Quality snorkeling 100 metres away. The absolute best authentic Balinese massage 50 metres away. Great restaurants and convenience store within short walking distance.

I found some of the tourists were unreasonably rude to the friendly locals which is totally unacceptable.

Beautiful bungalows with a very special ocean view. The garden and pool area is also very beautiful. It has an infinity pool feel overlooking the sea. I loved my morning swim watching the sail boats go by. The room itself is comfortable, the balcony is also very private and overlooks the sea and mountain. Just stunning! Mandi is a very kind host. He gave me a ride to the harbour in the morning of my departure and waited patiently for me to get my ticket to make sure everything was okay before leaving. Such a wonderful person. He’s also able to organise very competitively priced island and snorkelling tours. The location is also great, there are some excellent restaurants a few minutes walk away - the rich penida / the secret penida / secret bakery / and tamarillo to name a few. I would really recommend staying here and would love to return one day.

The room it’s amazing! Its big, really comfortable and cozy. The view is stunning. They have housekeeping. Organize and clean! 10/10!! Oh, the pool 😍 we spent a lot of time at the pool. Clean, surrounded by flowers with pool lounger and an egg chair also. Well, the hotel made the difference as don’t have much around.

They charged us a card fee for payment. The tv in the room doesn’t work. The breakfast could be a bit better. Also there is not much around. Not close to the port, not even close to tourist areas. The road around is dark. But keep in mind that in Nusa you will have to rent a bike. Otherwise you will get stuck. Everything is far.

The staff (Putu) and as super nice and helpful all the time. The pool was great, they have everything you need and there and it is in a good location . They are really nice rooms. The breakfast is included and coffe was great

People complains about the breakfast, and is true that women who work there aren’t friendly, but they serve properly, the breakfast is correct, okey is not big and a bit dirty but is okey. The coffe is good, Bali coffe. The rooms have the toilets outside so the other guest could see you, the could solve it with a simple curtain, probably they’ll change that.

The property is well located with a public beach near by and many amazing beach front restaurants within walking distance. There was good communication with the staff before the stay.

The pool area needs some work. There was only 1 deck chair that wasnf broken, the mat was torn. No umbrella. The property in front of hotel has too many roosters. Could not sleep from 5:00am onwards.

Accommodation nice, basic little hut in the mountain with sea view. Staff very friendly. The pool clean and well located, very welcoming.

Breakfast at restaurant nearby that the property has a deal with is appalling. No much choice and the old people running the restaurant not very friendly. Ordered tea that arrived 15’ later and breakfast did not arrive for 45’ so I had to leave. The lady saw me standing and did not come to enquiry but continued watching me go as if she was expecting this to happen and didn’t or bother her. Very sad that breakfast experience shadowed my very nice experience staying at the cottage.

The view!!! so beautiful to sit on the balcony and see the sea! nice and spacious room, good location and good value for money:)

The bathroom needed quite a bit of tlc. The staff were a bit quiet and not overly helpful, rented us a bit of a tacky bike which had broken mirrors and was held together by cello tape and still charged full price.

Great location, views and staff. Very comfortable and value for money. Pool was awesome. Very helpful in organising taxis and a tour. Driver for our tour of the island even drove back to one of our stops where I left my wallet (it was still there), he was also our driver back to the ferry and delivered us to the check in counter. Every person we met was very helpful! Lots of great places to eat within a short walk.

NA for us we loved it here! although if anyone had mobility issues choose a different place the driveway is steep and pool and rooms accessible by steps
