The property is an exceptional lush oasis. Rooms were clean, comfortable, private and an absolute gem for the money paid. Pool was amazing and even better than the photos. Staff were friendly, always available, responsive, just exceptional When asked they helpfully arranged taxi trips to/from Port, scooter hire, snorkelling trip which included escort to actual boat and also water taxi back to Bali. All at very fair prices. Location is awesome with a great series of very tasty and well priced cafes/restaurants all within 10mins walk or a couple of mins by scooter. Truly amazing experience and would stay again.

We booked two rooms at Kulkul Bungalow and were very happy with our stay. The property is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and has a very calming atmosphere. The pool was clean and inviting, and the overall quietness made it incredibly relaxing. While there’s no on-site restaurant, several dining options are just a short walk away — though we’d recommend carrying a torch at night, as the surrounding roads aren't well-lit. The room amenities were just what we needed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Although there was a slight language barrier, Google Translate worked well and communication wasn’t a problem. Overall, it was a wonderful and cozy stay — I only wish we could’ve stayed longer!

The door locks felt a bit worn and didn’t close as securely as we’d have liked. That said, the area itself felt very safe, so it didn’t become a major concern during our stay.

The staff were very friendly and the location was great. We did the tour around the island which was quite touristy but that was to be expected and we got to see a lot of the well-known viewpoints on the island. The pool was really relaxing and tranquil and the breakfast was alright; they were happy to alter some of the options to accomodate our dietary restrictions (vegan).

The room and bathroom could have been cleaner. The bathroom was a little run down and there was more water leaking out of the shower handle than coming from the actual shower head.

- Amazing stuff- Nofan and Sam were really helpful - great value for money - amazing pool ( gets cleaned pretty often) - the bungalow is quite rustic and you may find some insects and geckos around, but if you don't mind then that's great. - lush and well kept garden - they offer water in the office ( that's a great thing on an island) - quite close to restaurants ( you can also order stuff and they will bring it to your bungalow) - it's always best to ask for what you need ( towels, toilet paper, etc- they are more than happy to give it to you) - we went on a trip with them and we really enjoyed it. Our driver Bayu was very accommodating and helpful, plus always cheerful -all in all we had a great stay there for around 2 months

The place was stunning. We couldn’t think of a better place to stay and for that price. Cabins are super comfortable, the pool is a must, everything is clean, breakfast everyday delivered to the room, the staff is super helpful and helped us in everything we needed…Absolutely perfect stay to chill. If I have time say something, there’s lots of centipede outside in the walking path. But they are all over Bali and is nature so it’s what it is.

Lovely quiet place with a lush garden and pool. Helpful staff. Great breakfasts. I enjoyed my time here and would come again. I stayed here through Nyepi, the silent day, so wi-fi was off, no outside lights or carrying on -- but that was all made clear beforehand and the power and electricity stayed on and the staff could not have been more helpful.

Can't think of anything that rubbed me up the wrong way. What's not to like? Lovely, relaxing place.

Peace and quiet, far from the madding crowd - but not too far! I liked the chickens roaming in the garden, the pool and the bar fridge. Stayed here during Nyepi and the staff were very accommodating with plenty of forewarning about what to expect on this silent day of reflection.

I could not extend my stay via the Booking.com app as it showed the rooms was not available when it clearly was. Spoke to the staff who sorted this out.

Amazingly beautiful swimming pool, super friendly staff, and gorgeous terrace area in front of my bungalow. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Really appreciated the amenities in the room - desk, fridge, really good AC, good wifi, pool towels and good soap. Great value for money, and more privacy and quiet than other locations I stayed.

The bedding was a little basic - I found the blanket a little small and would’ve preferred a sheet.

Amazing staff, perfect location, very comfortable bed and fantastic, delicious breakfast, delivered to my door! Lovely pool. Absolutely amazing value.I loved my 3 weeks at Kulkul and would absolutely stay here again. My own air-conditioned bungalow with breakfast for less cost than some hostels!

Not a criticism as this place is such amazing value, but the bungalow interiors are very basic and the wifi is not great.

lovely place, 10 mins driveaway from the harbour so good location, would recommend hiring a scooter. helpful staff. gorgeous pool and decent breakfast, always delivered to the balcony on time. they offered room cleaning every day

some of the cabins around the property were still under construction, it wasn't loud but this might bother some people. twice we asked for more toilet paper and they said they have to go to the shop and buy more witch was a little strange, same with the weather filler, it was often empty with no spares
