What a fantastic and warm homestay! Unfortunately, I was ill when we arrived here (a bug picked up from the previous hostel in Ubud) and they really looked after me! They gave me ginger tea and were checking up on me frequently. The care they take for their guests is genuinely amazing. My partner wandered around the waterfalls and the location is fantastic, you can hire Aris' bike for 80 000 a day and it is powerful enough to do the mountain hills. There is also the option to do the trekking for the local waterfalls. The food was fantastic, the spring rolls and peanut sauce were soooo gooooood. breakfast is included (great Balinese pancakes). There's only a fan, but that is fine as as the mountains are cooler. I had a temperature from the bug I picked up and Aris went and bought an extra fan to make me comfortable! Aris helped us with everything, taxis, bike hire, massages etc Just a really lovely family with a great well kept dog, pipu you are so cute! Would strongly recommend, the rooms are clean and the view is stunning. Thank you, Aris! You and everyone at the homestay were incredible!!

It's down a few stairs from the road, so if you have poor mobility it might be hard to get to

Located in the little town this place has a stunning view of the mountains. Aris was very welcoming and our room was very clean. Although we couldn’t really sit out on the narrow balcony sitting inside looking out through the big windows was beautiful. Breakfast is provided but it is very simple. We ate one dinner their and that was nice. It’s close to other Warungs with stunning views also. There is no AC as it’s cool up in the mountain. The shower pressure is weak but has hot water. We came on scooters and Aarhus place is down a gang then down several steep steps Aris arranged for her family to ride our scooters down into the garden so they were off the street. It’s sort of quiet but there is always background noise echoing down the valley of karaoke, motorbikes and what sounds like shot guns but they’re some sort of thing the youth play with. Munduk is a place to visit if you just want to get right away into the real Bali. Bring cash there’s no ATM. Bring a good book and chill.

The room is simple and can get a little stuffy. No coffee/tea making but Aris happily will make you one if asked. Cushions on the chairs would be good as you look out to the view. Also only one PowerPoint so perhaps a powerboard could be added. These are all very minor things though.

If your looking for 5 star hotel rooms - this is not a hotel. It is however a wonderful homestay- the rooms are modest but comfortable enough- hot water and a clean beds -the hosts are super friendly and the food is very good! Best of all is the panoramic view of jungle hills from rooms and restaurant- also easy to access trails and paths taking you to wonderful waterfalls through beautiful jungle. It has a lovely energy and I feel better for staying there- I will certainly return! ps: soft earplugs recommended for those who mind waking up to early morning sounds of jungle and neighbourhood roosters at dawn

Everything was perfect. The owner is soooo sweet and are really get you feel like home. She is so caring, always asking how you are and always ready for a talk. She’s like a travel mother. Their dog is so kind and cute as well. They own a little restaurant where she makes the most delicious and tasty food. The surroundings is absolutely outstanding, it’s so beautiful. The waterfalls is close and the owner is ready to give you a map of how you will get there. Terima kasih for a lovely stay 🤍

If I could rate this 10 stars I would. The most authentic and beautiful stay of my whole trip. The family ran guesthouse feels so genuine and everyone is so welcoming from the youngest to the eldest. The room was excellent and clean and the views are unreal. The cooking class was amazing and we learnt so much about the different spices in each dish. The trekking was an unreal experience as well with our guide teaching us along the way about all the different fruits and letting us taste them. A shame we couldn’t stay longer but I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

The stay with Ari and her family was exceptional. They were so loving and caring and helped with planning of tracking, home cooked fresh food and spoiled us with additional home cooked goddies and fruit. We chatted and laughed together every day and I felt so welcome. What Ari does comes from an open and loving heart and you can feel that. I felt very welcome at all times traveling with my dogs and I can honestly say we had the best time and will be back. We already miss Ari´s caring, loving and funny character and just left yesterday. This is such a lovely Homestay, the owners are wonderful people, great cook and always happy to help ! Some trekking with waterfall can be done by foot around the property so it’s perfect. The ricefield is really close as well. You can book a driver to drive you around very easily. The best is the food ! Everything was delicious and so tasty. The room is basic but there is everything you need and hot water. Thanks again for your kindness, I hope I’ll come back one day :)

The host family are so lovely. Aris arranged us a scooter, got our laundry washed and arranged a taxi to our next location. Her cooking is delicious too, so you never had to worry about a place to eat, although it is really close to other good restaurants and corner stores. The outlook over the garden and into the hills is beautiful from the rooms and upstairs restaurant area. Melanting & Lebuhan Kebo were the best out of the 7 waterfalls we visited in the area and they're within walking distance! Nothing super fancy and I would definitely stay again.

There was a bit of a damp smell from the bathroom, but it wasn't a problem as long as you kept the door shut.

I stayed for 5 nights with Aris and Made. Everything was so perfect. The food was excellent, the room spacious enough and well kept everyday during my stay by Aris. I could do my laundry there too. The view from the restaurant and my room was sooo amazing!!! You can spend hours and just watch this view... Their whole Family is so supernice and everybody helps you with everything!! I also made a tour almost every day with her husband Made and it was so amazing!! He showed me the waterfalls, their garden near the ricefields and we made a tour early morning to Lake Tambligan to beautiful temples through the forest. It was so beautiful!! The tours with him and the whole stay with Aris at their place was the best experience in Bali by far!! So authentic. So interesting. Things that you will only experience with a local. And here , you feel so Welcome, like being a part of the family. If you are looking for the "real" Bali (and you do not want/need the fancy stuff) - here you go!! I was really sad to leave after these 5 days and i can definitely recommend this supernice homestay with all of my heart!! I hope, I will be back!!

Amazing property and one of a kind service! Our room was large, clean and comfortable and had a stunning view of the mountains. The restaurant on location is fantastic and overlooks the beautiful mountains. The view is incredible, but the best part of the Homestay are the owners. From our early arrival we received friendly and excellent service. She and her husband happily suggested local attractions and things to do, such as nearby hikes and waterfalls. They rented us their scooter each day for a very fair price as well. The restaurant is great and includes a wider variety of Balinese food than we have typically seen. The food was so tasty we decided to take a cooking class here which is now one of our favourite things we’ve done here in bali. We highly recommend this homestay to anyone for the view, amazing price, and wonderful hospitality.
