What a fantastic and warm homestay! Unfortunately, I was ill when we arrived here (a bug picked up from the previous hostel in Ubud) and they really looked after me! They gave me ginger tea and were checking up on me frequently. The care they take for their guests is genuinely amazing. My partner wandered around the waterfalls and the location is fantastic, you can hire Aris' bike for 80 000 a day and it is powerful enough to do the mountain hills. There is also the option to do the trekking for the local waterfalls. The food was fantastic, the spring rolls and peanut sauce were soooo gooooood. breakfast is included (great Balinese pancakes). There's only a fan, but that is fine as as the mountains are cooler. I had a temperature from the bug I picked up and Aris went and bought an extra fan to make me comfortable! Aris helped us with everything, taxis, bike hire, massages etc Just a really lovely family with a great well kept dog, pipu you are so cute! Would strongly recommend, the rooms are clean and the view is stunning. Thank you, Aris! You and everyone at the homestay were incredible!!

It's down a few stairs from the road, so if you have poor mobility it might be hard to get to

The staff and family were very friendly and welcoming. They were always available to help. Aris even came to get rid of a huge spider for us one day which was in our bathroom - we were very grateful. Daily room cleaning. Great view. The rooms have access to outside so be ready to expect visitors - we had lots of ants in the bathroom and a spider. The net means you are safe sleeping.

The WiFi for us was very bad / not functional. The hot water in the shower rarely worked - once we asked Aris and she was able to change some things to get it to work but the next day it wasn’t working again.

The place is really peaceful and chill. You can really enjoy the beauty of peace and beautiful view from the homestay. Here you will not find lot of tourists and in my opinion it just makes the place even more special. The place is really close to the waterfalls what you can reach by walk through a 3-4 hours trekking in the jungle. Aris is incredible, she is really kind, she can help you with all of your requests. You can also rent motorbikes from her. The room is really enough for couple of days and you can have dinner in the Homestay. The breakfast is good and included in the price.

Exceptional room (take the better one with balcony with view it's worth it), full of light, truly clean, restaurant serving absolutely delicious food, friendly family owning the place... it really was amazing to stay there I will come back one day Good as well to work a bit on the Laptop in the restaurant

At first I had a room in the corner - ground floor and it smelled a bit modly but I changed and showed the owner lady what I was talking about and she was genuinely taking in the constructive feedback in and thanked me for it.

The view of the surrounding forests was absolutely breathtaking, and the cozy terrace made it even better. The room was spacious, with a comfy bed and a mosquito net — a nice touch! The bathroom was large, with hot water and thoughtful extras like complimentary soaps and towels. Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. Close to trekking path to Melanting waterfall.

The only small downside was that the bed lamp wasn’t working — not a big deal, but worth mentioning.

Absolutely loved our stay at Aris Homestay and Warung Made! 🌿 The view of the mountains was breathtaking and the atmosphere felt genuinely local and peaceful. The food at the warung was delicious—flavorful and freshly made. But what really made our experience special were the owners. They were so kind and incredibly helpful in organizing all our activities. We highly recommend this place The rooms are basic, but clean.

Located in the little town this place has a stunning view of the mountains. Aris was very welcoming and our room was very clean. Although we couldn’t really sit out on the narrow balcony sitting inside looking out through the big windows was beautiful. Breakfast is provided but it is very simple. We ate one dinner their and that was nice. It’s close to other Warungs with stunning views also. There is no AC as it’s cool up in the mountain. The shower pressure is weak but has hot water. We came on scooters and Aarhus place is down a gang then down several steep steps Aris arranged for her family to ride our scooters down into the garden so they were off the street. It’s sort of quiet but there is always background noise echoing down the valley of karaoke, motorbikes and what sounds like shot guns but they’re some sort of thing the youth play with. Munduk is a place to visit if you just want to get right away into the real Bali. Bring cash there’s no ATM. Bring a good book and chill.

The room is simple and can get a little stuffy. No coffee/tea making but Aris happily will make you one if asked. Cushions on the chairs would be good as you look out to the view. Also only one PowerPoint so perhaps a powerboard could be added. These are all very minor things though.

View was absolutely spectacular. The staff were beyond helpful and very friendly. The owner also was available as a local guide and took me on a trek to the nearby waterfalls which was very convenient and he was very knowledgeable about the area and local plants. The only thing is there was only one single power point in the room so I would recommend bringing an extension chord so you can have your phone charging as well as the fan and lamp on.

Everything was perfect. The owner is soooo sweet and are really get you feel like home. She is so caring, always asking how you are and always ready for a talk. She’s like a travel mother. Their dog is so kind and cute as well. They own a little restaurant where she makes the most delicious and tasty food. The surroundings is absolutely outstanding, it’s so beautiful. The waterfalls is close and the owner is ready to give you a map of how you will get there. Terima kasih for a lovely stay 🤍

If I could rate this 10 stars I would. The most authentic and beautiful stay of my whole trip. The family ran guesthouse feels so genuine and everyone is so welcoming from the youngest to the eldest. The room was excellent and clean and the views are unreal. The cooking class was amazing and we learnt so much about the different spices in each dish. The trekking was an unreal experience as well with our guide teaching us along the way about all the different fruits and letting us taste them. A shame we couldn’t stay longer but I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.
