The views were stunning, the staff are really great, super helpful. The restaurant on sight was amazing for food. Probably the best food we had in Munduk, the chicken rendang was to die for. The room was extremely comfortable and we slept very well, really enjoyed sitting out on the peaceful terrace. Great sunset location. Also had a head massage here which was highly enjoyable, best massage of the holiday

Nothing about the place itself, just some advice for people. Would highly recommend using taxis to get around as the stray dogs in the street in this region tended to be very aggressive, so no solo hiking up the roads!

The remote and rustic charm and feeling of being immersed in the forest was amazing. The constant sound of Munduk Waterfall and insects truly felt a millions miles away. Very attentive and helpful staff can source day trips and scooter rental. Beautiful view from restaurant area.

Just a word of warning for those who don’t like steps. We had 174 steep steps to our room Avocado. The path is lit at night but can be slippy. Breakfast was basic, but free, but they do have a paid menu if require more. Restaurant has last orders at 2030 and they close at 2100. Including the gates to the property. So you need WhatsApp to message security.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is a beautiful, fully wooden standalone unit tucked deep in the jungle, offering total privacy you barely even see other guests. The constant sound of the river and wildlife made the experience magical. The staff were super friendly, and the café had stunning views with good food. The hot bathtub was a real highlight, and the place was well-equipped with everything fan, cooler, heater, safety box, fridge. It was the perfect jungle retreat.

The only minor downside was that instead of one big mattress, there were two single ones pushed together, which wasn’t ideal for sleeping as a couple.

We rented the pineapple house. Amazing location, spacious and super cozy with the sound of waterfall. Highlight was also the outdoor bathtube which we used every day. We had a kitchen which we also used to cook food and a clean hot cold water dispenser for drinking and coffee. Service was the best we experienced on Bali with amazing local activities for a fair price. Usually we did an activity in the morning and returned in the afternoon to just chill at the place. Food was really good and I had some of the best fruits there. Expect to be in touch with local wildlife, including chipmunks, birds and insects. The cicadas will wake you up at sunrise.

We loved everything while staying in Gumi! The staff are very welcoming, kind and sweet and the property is located in a beautiful location, overlooking mountains and waterfalls 🙏❤️ The staff is always taking care of you so you feel very much at home 🙏 Also, the breakfast and other restaurant food was super delicious and we definitely recommend it! The room itself was also spacious, light and comfortable with lots of windows with breaktaking views. Lastly, the spa was also extremely good! We tried the Balinese massage which was definitely worth it as well as the complementary foot massage! In general, everything was perfect with many kind and warm people around which makes this place truly special! Thank you Gumi team! ✨

Our stay at Gumi Ayu was absolutely wonderful. The accommodation was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, making us feel at home from the very first moment. The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The food was fantastic—delicious and beyond our expectations. We also really appreciated how they helped us with everything, from organizing activities to arranging transportation. A beautiful place with a magical atmosphere, located in the mountains and right in the middle of the jungle. The restaurant has an open view of lush greenery, where you can spend pleasant evenings with other guests and the friendly hotel dogs. The staff is very kind and helpful. The cottages are well-equipped and clean. Some nights were chilly, as is typical in the mountains, but the staff provided blankets and hot water bags. The area is very peaceful, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle, yet there are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as trekking among waterfalls or relaxing by a mountain lake. The restaurant offers food suitable for tourists, so there's no risk of Bali belly 😊

This Eco Resort has a very nice 'vibe'. The rooms/cabins are in the middle of the beautiful nature with the necessary comfort. We did not miss the airco and appreciated to be very close with nature. The room are large with large quality beds. The food served in the restaurants is excellent and has a good choice. We participated to 2 spiritual sessions with local guru's, these were both wonderfull and authentic moments that brough us answers and insight. Thanks to all the staff for the great service!

Be aware that the resort is setup on the hill. If you are in a room in the bottom of the hill is takes a lot of steps to get there...

Everything! • The staff were the most wonderful people, who did everything to make sure we were comfortable. My partner and I arrived sick at Gumi Ayu, and we felt so safe and looked after, with staff able to pick up medication for us and brought us Balinese tonics to help our stomachs. • From the room we could see a beautiful waterfall, a stunning outlook that was very private. • Bed was very comfortable • Food was great, delicious juices and tonics • Best massages we’ve ever had! • Great communication with staff, very quick to reach Our absolute favourite stay in Bali and will definitely have to return!

We spent 2 nights and wish it was more! Everyone in Bali was so nice but the people here were exceptional! They went above and beyond with everything. The room was beautiful, with a beautiful view and nice and relaxing bathtub. A few minute walk to a waterfall. They arranged a scooter drop off and it’s only a few minute ride to the Munduk trek of 4 waterfalls & a 15 min ride to Banyumala waterfall. They have a restaurant on property and it is GORGEOUS! We made sure to be there for sunset every night. Breakfast was included & we ate dinner there every night for an additional charge. It was reasonably priced and so good!! I couldn’t recommend this place more!!
