Superb position overlooking very beautiful Lake Tamblingan, nice rooms (maintenance needed!), excellent restaurant. Drinking water from large urns rather than lots of small plastic bottles (well done!!). Management seem to have focused on retaining staff through low visitor number- good idea: Staff excellent.

WiFi workable for restaurant area only- Seems WiFi accounts for the rooms have been cancelled, perhaps as cost saving: Frustrating to have great signal from the modem but no internet connection. Some rooms are in need of maintenance- we had to change rooms following an electrical short circuit caused by bedside lights which were very obviously in need or replacement.

It is in a good location for all the sites - waterfalls etc of this area IF you have transportation OR you go on tours / activities that include transport. The room is large and clean. There is a fireplace - although we did not use it because it was quite warm AND the last time we were here the chimney didnt work so the room was very smokey (we did not want to chance that again.) The staff are very nice. Breakfast was decent. At 500K pn it is reasonable value for Indo.

We stayed here before, which is why we chose this place. But it is getting a bit run down and could do with some renovation. The water heater in Room 3 was hit and miss. It did not provide hot water on the evening of arrival = cold shower. But seemed to be working on the following morning. The big disappointment was the food. The owner, Bpk Made, used to be the chef and the food before was fantastic. This time Made was elsewhere, and the food was poor. The vegetable curry was a weak tasting excuse for a curry soup. The chicken rendang was the SAME weak tasting curry soup with a few pieces of chicken thrown in. I have lived in Indonesia since 1985, and my wife is Indonesian (my wife ordered the Rendang). It was nothing like a Rendang. The tuna steak was very very salty. Breakfast was ok.

ALL the staff were super helpful and kind. The room is equipped with fireplace, but me and my friend and I couldn't lit the fire. The staff came at night and lit the fire for us. They didn't have Indomie in their menu but offered to make some for us. We're truly happy with the service here! The room is spacious and comfy. Moreover, the location is perfect! The lake view from the restaurant is breathtaking. It's not far from the popular waterfalls around the area.

Just before we were ready to sleep in the middle of the night, we noticed that our bed sheets weren't fresh. We could tell someone slept there before. But we were too tired so we didn't care. I wished we could sleep on a fresh and clean bed.

The staff, and their attention to make sure that you will enjoy your stay. The activities (massage and cooking course). The restaurant.

Room could have been better (limited water flow in the bathroom) and unability to make the room really dark.

Breakfast was great with a choice of several options.

No complaints; the staff was very friendly and they aim to please. We also had dinner there and the choices were great.

Really great staff, polite, helpful, very friendly, and accommodating. The property is well maintained and clean. The food is great. Will be back for sure!

Such a friendly and helpful team. Food was great, nicely located for a quick early morning sunrise session down at the lake.
