We loved our one night stay at the Lesong Hotel. Once we arrived we immediately wished we had the time to stay more days. It is such a pleasant place, both the hotel and the surrounding area. The hotel is in the middle of rice fields that come right up to the pool, your windows in the room, making for gorgeous views. Our room had massive windows facing to the East and to the West, so you can imagine that beautiful sunset and sunrise that we experienced at Lesong. The pool was wonderful to relax in, the room and bed were comfortable. The shower was massive and had great water pressure. The restaurant served delicious food, I would particularly highlight the fresh fruit juices. The staff provided excellent care and service. We hope to be back someday for a longer stay!!

Perfect place. The rooms are very nicely fitted out with gorgeous big windows looking out onto the rice fields and valley. The bed was comfy with good mosquito net. The shower was nice. We opted for a mountain view room and I would recommend, as it has a first floor terrace with comfy furniture and amazing views which feels private. The location was quiet and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They organised at very short notice a scooter for hire one day and also a driver for airport transfer. They also helped provide advice on possible waterfall walks which were amazing! Everything felt very professional, with a helpful folder filled with activity ideas for your stay and an information sheet provided in the rooms. I appreciated the unlimited free water refills too. I enjoyed the food, there were a good few vegetarian options to keep me happy!

We particularly enjoyed the setting of the hotel and the stunning views. We loved looking out over the rice terraces from our balcony, the poolside, and even the restaurant. All of the food was brilliant - we had every meal in the hotel since there were plenty of options on the menu and each of them was delicious. The entire staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, organising excursions, lifts, and even laundry service for us! We can’t recommend the hotel highly enough!

The staff were amazing, very friendly and genuinely interested in our plans and opinion. Also, they were playful with our son which made eating in the restaurant even more delightful. The swimming pool was great: nicely located and good for children and adults. The hotel is located in the midst of the rice fields, which is fabulous. At the time we visited, a chorus of frogs and other noisy animals made the experience truly rural. At the same time, there was no unpleasant smell, as we had expected.

The food selection during breakfasts could be improved. All was tasty, though.

Very remote location which was very peaceful. You definitely need transport if you plan to leave the hotel as there is nothing within walking distance. We hired scooters directly from the hotel which was great. On day one I hired one of the waiters to take me out on his scooter so that I could gauge the traffic/roads before taking my own out. The property is literally hugged all around with rice paddies. It bucketed down whilst we were there which just added to the atmosphere. The staff were all lovely as was the infinity pool.

No hairdryer in the room if that is important to you. The pillows are very small which I didn’t find comfortable.

Beautiful location with all rooms, the restaurant and the infinity pool all overlooking rice fields (they had harvested when we were there though so more of a mud pool but beautiful views of the mountains nevertheless). Staff were very kind and helpful, even brought our kid’s stuffed animal which she had forgotten to our next location! Restaurant’s food was great and varied. Only has a few rooms so even though I think it was full, we were very glad to finally find a calm and quiet (yet very family friendly) place in the middle of the high season. There are some board games for older kids and adults, for the smallest ones there were even 2 high chairs I think. They offer lots of activities though we only stayed for one night so didn’t try any.

Lots of steps so probably not as well suited to someone with mobility issues. Note that the entrance is very, very steep, was very glad not to be self-driving there!

No small fridge in the room — could be useful • Being in the heart of nature, you can’t really dine elsewhere easily — which is part of the charm, but worth knowing

Our stay was fantastic! The staff goes out of their way to be of assistance, especially when you wish to go on any tours. We were very fortunate to be there for a special three month ceremony which the staff arranged for us. This is a special time and celebration for a three month old baby. The views from the hotel are beautiful as you are right amongst the rice terracing. Also, the hotel is not in Munduk town, which has many tourists, but in the quiet village of Gesing, less than 10 minute drive away. The staff at Lesong was more than happy to give us a lift to Munduk one evening for dinner and picked us up afterwards.

Nothing

This is the real Bali. A true delight. The restaurant has lush green valley views and the balconies of the rooms look over rice terraces and palm trees full of coconuts. The staff cannot do enough to help you and have a good knowledge of the local area for excursions. The temperature is a pleasant constant and the rooms have a bit of style. This place is quiet and a 45 minute walk to Munduk. That is the charm. For a chilled break with some mountain walks to waterfalls and viewing points this is the deal.

Some people were disappointed by the rain. I loved sitting on my balcony with a beer, reading, listening to the pitter patter of raindrops on the rice terraces. This is the Monsoon season after all. There are a few steps from the rooms to the restaurant so you need to be reasonably agile.

I had such an amazing stay here:) The staff are all very welcoming, provide exceptional service, and work very hard to make this place feel like a home away from home. The scenery is absolutely stunning, the property is well kept and gardens are beautiful. Food was all good as well with a wide range of options to choose from. There is a great selection spa services, and activities that can be booked right on location . If you are visiting Munduk stay here!
