I came to Swar Bali Lodge to do a 10 day (11 night) Vipassana (silent meditation retreat) on my own. I don't think words would be able to describe how amazing and exceptional my experience was. Firstly the view, the rooms, and the facilities were absolutely divine. I could not imagine a better time off in a better place. The manager and the staff were absolutely amazing to me, I told them about my idea for my stay and they did above and beyond for me. They even brought me a small tatami (straw) mat for my meditation. They also carefully respected my silence and brought me food or took care of anything I needed with silence and written notes. The food was amazing as well. On a clear day you can even see a ring of volcanoes and the ocean in the horizon from a corner in the pool, a secret gem. and if you climb up you will find the Ganesha temple, very beautiful energies in there too. I just can not thank the manager owner and staff enough. It was such a beautiful time for my body and soul.

View from the villa was absolute owsome. In the pool side villa you have your own deck/balcony with sunbeds👌🏼 Infinity pool is so cool. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is average. You can also have dinner and lunch in hotel restaurant, if you want. Really value for your money!

Location is isolated (but we knew that, so wasn't issue for us), you need to have transportation to see surroundings. Staff can help you to find driver or you can rent a scooter. Little renovations needed in the hotel area. Little issues: one dinner time beer was run out and another day same with milk (for the coffee). Not big problems:)

Nestled right in the jungle, so be prepared for a few small visitors at night. The amenities were basic but sufficient, making it perfect for a one or two-night stay. The breakfast was delicious, and their hot chocolate is one of the best in the world!

Perhaps the cleanliness of the place could be improved a bit.

I honestly liked everything about the property! We had the room (the house) with the mountain view, I can only say that the view was stunning! The swimming pool was also great. The staff very friendly and made us the surprise with the beautiful flowers writing on the bed. Great contact with the manager!

Just a very minor thing. For the standard, the room was very clean but some parts could be even more cleaned.

Swar Bali was incredible bang for buck. Such a beautiful place for what you pay. A nice cosy room, big bed, good shower and toilet. We had a deck with our own lounge chairs overlooking the stunning view. The pool is also superb and the views great. Staff very friendly. Limited choice re breakfast but still great!

No air conditioner. Although Munduk is cooler still missed the air con.

Good value for money. Lovely pool, good view, yummy breakfast. Restaurant on the property and 1 across the road both very good. Sudi and all the staff looked after us very well. He organised our scooter hire and massage at the property and an awesome day out with his brother dolphin watching.

No AC may be uncomfortable if it was hot. Note- There are a lot of stairs at this property.

Such an incredible place to stay! The views from our room were insanely gorgeous. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and welcoming. The villa was very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable and all of the facilities were great. So relaxing and peaceful with the ocean sounds right outside our room. The villa's restaurant was amazing too. Walking distance to so much beauty.

Excellent location (near Warung Adit which is amazing for lunch/diner). Tasty balinese traditional breakfast included.

The room was excellent; however, be aware that you will find a LOT of bugs... Ants, spiders, cockroaches, you name it. I think this could be easily avoided with some bug repellent or window nets.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Delicious food. Amazing swimming pool with a view on the mountains and rice fields. Comfortable bed. Nicely designed bathroom. Cute little cabin with an amazing view on the garden and a terrace.

The only thing I didn't like is the noise from the road. A lot of scooters and cars passing by all day long, Even if the cabins are quite high up, you can still hear the road. However, you can also hear beautiful birds singing.

Altough it is nearby the main road, it was very quite, enjoyable and peacefull. The owner and staffs are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast are wonderfull, it was freshly cooked right after we ordered and also tasty. My room is in the highest level, the view was wonderfull all day, you can see the mountain, the pool, and everything up from above.

It will be helpfull if the restaurant can be open for dinner.
