I enjoyed the direct access to the pool with nice balconyand outlook-the facilities were very good especially the double glazing which meant the room temperature was constant and I didn’t require the aircon. Staff were friendly, Room had everything you need.

I very much liked the property and proximity to the harbour and variety of restaurants. It did mean you could hear the music being played at the restaurant next door - I actually enjoyed the free entertainment but maybe that’s not for everyone.

Considering that Banjar Nuh is a little village compared to, for example, Nusa Dua in Bali, the Akatara Hotel is probably the best accommodation option in this area. The hotel is not new but the room was spacious and clean, with a wide and comfortable bed. The shower room was also good with a decent water pressure. The hotel staff was attentive. Breakfasts were modest and repetitive, but they were sufficient to satisfy hunger. There is a large supermarket and many cafes nearby the hotel if you want to go outside for having a meal.

We understand that this does not apply to the hotel itself but it was not a good idea to go swimming to the nearby beaches due to a large number of broken corals that made it easy to cut ourselves on. We had to walk for half an hour towards the further beaches with more comfortable conditions for swimming.

Everything was perfect. Location amazing, once you get off the boat it’s less than a 2 minute walk, saves you getting a taxi or bike. Lots of restraunts nearby, you can go onto the beach and walk at least 3 miles past lots of beach clubs for drinks and or lunch. The room was immaculate and the bed was really comfy. Bathroom very modern and up to date with modern times. Staff very welcoming and nice too. The groundskeeper is always working hard night and day, keeping the pool area and grounds clean. I would highly recommend.

Maybe a bar. But is only a small hotel and shop just across the road. So may not be worth it for them.

Beautiful hotel just 4 mins walk straight up from the port and takes you right in the middle of a street with cute cafes and restaurants (shoutout to new one - Alily, very scandi vibe!) Felt like the hotel was well designed, we had 2 rooms on the ground floor with “pool access” but it wasn’t quite a pool access as we had to walk through some mud to get to the decking. Rooms were clean, well furnished with mini fridge, good bathroom and excellent shower pressure. I would advise providing hand soap in the bathrooms to the hotel, but maybe guests can make do with hand sanitiser. AC worked well, bed was soft and pillows were dreamy; lots of mood lighting options and large tv to use. WiFi was also good and so strong that if we went to neighbouring shops we wouldn’t have to join their wifi! Staff was excellent, Mahen did a great job looking after us and the team did tally well arranging a tour of the east and west of Nusa penida, and even lifts to Mambo beach club.

Rooms are nice and clean, beds are comfortable. Tasty breakfast with several choices. Lovely garden and pool. Good location. The hotel is around 7 minutes walking from the harbour. Situated on a busy street but it is not so noisy, so we could relax and sleep well. Wonderful tours around the island with kind and reliable drivers. Super friendly and helpful staff! They helped us with carrying our suitcases, transportation and special requests. We had wonderful days in Nusa Penida and hope that we can return to Akatara hotel one day. Location, just outside the harbor. You can walk or can request a free pickup drop to the harbor. Hotel staff was very prompt in supporting all our need and guiding us for all our queries. Good restaurants nearby, so you can enjoy all your meals. Pool is well maintained; rooms are clean, direct access to pool which is also a plus. and breakfast was good. You could choose and order item one night before and they will serve it in morning. You can rent bike, car to travel within Nusa Penida or you can ask hotel to help you with arrangement.

Room size is small, but manageable as they had good space management.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and we had an amazing stay. Our room was very clean and modern, it had a lovely terrace with a garden view to sit out and relax, the air conditioning was great and the bed was super comfortable. We also had our room cleaned every day. When we arrived we got a free welcome drink, and the breakfasts included in our stay were amazing, my only wish is that the portions were a little bigger as the food was so good (however the portion sizes across all the restaurants on Nusa Penida were generally small). One morning before we did a tour we were kindly given free banana pancakes on top of what we already ordered for breakfast which was so kind! What stood out to us the most were the staff - they were always extremely friendly and accommodating. We booked an island tour as well as a snorkelling tour through the hotel and the prices were really good. The hotel was also in a perfect location close to many great restaurants and supermarkets, and only a short walk to a gorgeous white sand beach. We were so sad to leave, we loved this hotel so much and would 100% recommend it!!

Hotel is near to Penida Jetty, walking distance around 500m. There are many restaurants and convenient stores beside hotel. The staffs are friendly and helpful.

Due to there are few restaurants opposite/beside the hotel, the restaurants host live band/music at night until 10pm or 11pm. However, we have already noticed that from previous reviews. And it's uncontrollable by hotel operator. Hence, it is not a big deal to us.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms where modern and well decorated with a smart tv. We had a ground floor room with a patio door leading to the swiming pool and garden which was very nice. Breakfast was included and very nice with quality juices, tea and coffee. Location couldnt have been better for bars, restaurants and harbour with all the activities we came for. Loved it

We only had two nights there. Wish we couldve stayed longer.

Property was clean and easily accessible from the port where the fast boats come in. Could easily walk from the port to the hotel with no problems. The hotel was clean and comfortable, really enjoyed our stay here.

It would have been nice to be able to get some drinks through the hotel however they did not have this on offer so we just did a short walk down the road to the supermarket and got some from there for our rooms instead.
