All in all a solid 8. I mean for the price I can't complain. The room was basically clean, the aircon worked, and a fair effort had been made to make the room look nice. Nice wardrobe and mirror, and the bathroom wasn't bad for Nusa Penida. Plenty of hot water. The staff were lovely and very helpful. On the downside, the sink wasn't clean (but the rest of the bathroom was OK), and the place was quite damp. I should add, the dampness is basically island wide no matter how much you pay, unless you go up into the hills a bit. If you want more luxury, you either need to get away from the coast, or pay more. Take your pick:)

The place was clean - a little bit run down, but for the price there is really nothing to complain. The staff was nice and helpful, not always available at the counter, but they could be reached via WhatsApp. The outdoor terrace gets a bit hot in the morning, but in the afternoon and evening its a perfect place to relax. The dragon fruit smoothie bowl for breakfast was the best I had in bali. The location of the homestay is pretty good - we were able to walk from the harbour in 10 min, and in the evening you can reach a lot of restaurants within a few minutes of walking. Overall, a really good value for the money. They also refreshed our room every day, which we totally didn't expect for the price.

The shower is right next to the toilet and sink, so everything gets wet when you shower. It can also get a bit noisy in the morning since it's pretty close to a couple schools, meaning you'll hear a lot of scooters going by.

The best bed I have ever slept on in Indonesia! They provided us with so much amenities like a hairdryer, towels, toiletries, complimentary water, air-con, multiple plug sockets near the bed. And most importantly, the sweetest staff ever! So helpful with everything! Really appreciate them and making our Nusa Penida trip amazing.

It is a wet room in the bathroom but the shower quality and temperature is really good! You won’t be disappointed if you stayed here!!!!!

Kadek, our host, was amazing. He arranged taxis and tours for us and I think he does scooter rental too. Always smiling, super friendly, super helpful, super responsive. Great location near the beach, the harbour, a load of good cafes and warungs, and right next to a shop for cold water. Bed was super comfy. Wardrobe was really useful. Bedside tables. They provide water, a kettle and a hair dryer. Air con worked amazingly. The chill out area upstairs outside the rooms was ace. Too hot for us to hang out during the day but was amazing in the evening.

There are no windows in the bathroom, so it was always a bit damp in there. There was a slight smell of damp too which got into the rest of the room with the door open. Our towels didn’t smell too fresh when we first got there either, but Kadek changed them in a second when we asked him and the new ones smelled super fresh.

The best part about Nusa Penida Homestay was the kind and helpful staff!!! We arrived and were immediately greeted with a smile. Kadek was always there (either in person or on WhatsApp) to help us with cafe suggestions as well as booking snorkelling tours and arranging taxis to the beach. We were quite late organising our boat off the island, so the boats leaving the nearby main port were full, however Kadek and another member of staff gave us a ride free of charge to the ferry port. The rooms were spotless, and were cleaned daily. There was a kettle, tea/coffee and a great hot shower too! Thank you so much Kadek and Nusa Penida Homestay and we hope to come back again :)) !!

da, situated in a good location with very helpful staff, Nusa Penida Homestay is the perfect spot for you. It's a family run business, Kadek will be your reference person for anything you need; his smile and his kindness are beyond imagination, he will truly solve all your problems and/or arrange anything for you: a driver to go around the islands, rental of motorbike, suggestion for local and delicious food. Being an homestay, all you'll get is a very nice and clean room with toilet. Upstairs there is a nice patio where you can chill and/or eat your own food (no kitchen/restaurant/breakfast are provided, but I feel that it's fair for the price you are paying). Downstairs there are a mini mart and a pharmacy. In any case, the structure is in a good location: walking distance from the port where the boats from Bali arrive, from various restaurants and also diving centers. I suggest anyway to rent a motorbike (if you feel confident) this will give you the freedom to more around the island anytime.

Beautiful and quirky decor, very modern and stylish rooms and outside areas. The room was very clean, spacious and bright. The bed was very comfortable and soft. Good balcony area and shared terrace with bean bags. Staff were very friendly and helpful with local info and booking transport or tours. Good location close to the harbour 20 mins walk and close to restaurants and bars. 25 mins bike drive to most sights.

Bathroom was a bit dark and small, the shower was a wet room that wet everything. More toiletries could be given (more shower gel and soap or hand wash).

We loved the fact that breakfast was delivered to our room. It was a close walk to the ferry, which we also enjoyed. Housekeeping did a remarkable job of keeping our room clean and replenished with water and soap. The water pressure and temperature of the shower was also great. And such friendly staff!

We have stayed in many places in Bali and this one is definitely our favourite yet. The staff were all so lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. The rooms were cleaned daily and was only a short walk to the main strip with restaurants and bars.

The only slight issue was that it was a bit noisy in the mornings due to bikes etc as there was a school around the corner but that was the only fault!
