Lovely setting , beautiful infinity pool , good food , very pleasant and helpful staff

The infinity pool area can get rather hot during the day - maybe need bigger umbrellas

The view from the hotel was exceptional! It is only a few minutes from the port if you travel by boat (the hotel can arrange this but it cost £10) otherwise it would be around 25 minutes in a taxi. The pool was absolutely gorgeous, a lovely temperature with a swim up bar and the restaurant area just behind. Rooms were comfy and fresh with the same, beautiful view. Food was very nice, wine expensive.

Slightly more expensive for room, food and drinks than the mainland but we did expect this could be the case. We organised a boat trip for the manta rays but was taken to 3 points where the boat company admitted it was very unlikely we would see manta rays but if we wanted to go to the main point they would take us with the next group for X amount more. Felt slightly ripped off by this as the trip after was what we wanted initially- though did see manta rays and it was an amazing experience.

Fantastic views and excellent swimming pool. The beds and the pillows are the best we have ever experienced in Bali. The pillows are so good I want one. We found the staff super helpful, arranging taxi’s, etc.

There isn’t really anything to complain about but be prepared to deal with the local Mosque blaring out a prayer at 4-5am in the morning is a bit of a rude awakening. The hotel supplied earplugs and now we know why. 😂 We liked the stay at this place so the ten minutes of biting down on the pillow with the sides tucked up so you can’t hear the mosque is worth it.

We stayed at Sea La Vie Resort, Nusa Penida for a few days on our honeymoon, and it was amazing! The staff made it really special with flower decorations and sweet surprises throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable, the views were stunning, and the service was fantastic. A perfect spot for a romantic getaway!"

The only downside to our stay in Nusa Penida was the lack of proper roads, which made traveling around the island time-consuming. It would be great if there were more boat options, as the resort can be reached directly by sea. This would save a lot of time and make exploring the island more convenient.

Getting to the property feels like a safari, it is a very tight and exceptionally bumpy drive. Though the hotel looks very close to the harbour (you can clearly see it on the boat ride in) getting there by taxi takes much longer as you have to go deeper into the hills - if you get car sick beware. Doing this trip yourself on a scooter would be very sketchy to say the least. There is a small walking path that takes ~7 minutes to walk to the beach, but it is somewhat step and with a rough path, so if your somewhat elderly or have small children this might be difficult. Perfect for anyone who wants to stay in a resort like manner, but if you want to explore nusa it’s a little more difficult. There was also no coffee in the room with the provided kettle which was a little disappointing.

Our stay at Sea La Vie Hotel on the beautiful island of Nusa Penida was nothing short of exceptional. Sea La Vie strikes the perfect balance between tranquility and convenience, making it an ideal base to explore Nusa Penida. Whether you’re seeking adventure or simply looking to unwind, this hotel is a fantastic choice. We can’t recommend it highly enough and are already dreaming of our next visit!

Sea La Vie provided an incredible opportunity where we were able to see a wonderful sight from our resort. We were also given lots of free and comfortable wear (i.e free cotton-like slippers), and the bathroom was very kempt and neat. The variety of choices of food we were given right below our hotel was equally as amazing which has made our stay all the more pleasant!

Most of what the hotel has provided exceeded my expectations and surely of many other tourists who are seeking for a luxurious hotel and stay. There is lots of original value that we have which makes it hard to dislike any aspects of Sea La Vie.

Every morning at 4am the Call to pray plays over the loud speaker and bellows through the town. You have to be prepared and I think it's something they should mention. It calls at night also from 5-7pm. The bathroom needs a scrub as it didn't feel clean. There are a million stairs to walk from the top to your room and then the restaurant/pool, but it's worth it. But if you were injured it would be hard. I thought that would be worth noting too. it's also very far out of town, and the road is very hard to get down.

The view from the hotel was stunning! We enjoyed lounging by the pool and enjoying the view while eating at the restaurant. The room was comfortable and spacious. Staff were friendly and very responsive to our requests.

The hotel is very secluded which means it's hard to find places to eat outside the hotel. The food at the hotel was good but expensive for Indonesia. Try and order Indonesian food because the portions are much more generous. We had some issues with water pressure but the staff were able to fix it.
