Khamara Nusa Penida is a peaceful and friendly base to explore the island from. The rooms are cool, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely pool to relax by after a day out. The beach club area is amazing with excellent food and amazing snorkelling, where you’ll also find vibrant coral and plenty of sea life right off the beach The real highlight? Subali, his dog Bonnie and the rest of the team—always ready with a smile, a joke, or a chat that makes you feel instantly at home.

The island is bigger than you think. If you want to see everything the island has to offer, add at least one extra day to your planned stay.

Genuinely the most impressive stay of our Bali trip and so perfect we couldn’t have been happier. I’m writing this months after our holiday and we’re still beaming over the service and the memories made during our stay here. Special thanks to Ada, Bintang and Subali and the rest of the Khamara staff. They were the reason our stay was so lovely, we couldn’t be more thankful for their hospitality and help. Their service and ability to meet needs and requests is unmatched, really nice and generous people. The food! Besides the look of the villa and location, we were swayed by the many reviews talking about the food and we couldn’t agree more. Everything was so delicious, we ate like kings for three days and were so satisfied with the options, quality and taste. Note, the wifi can be spotty at times. The first night was close to terrible but the days after were completely fine. We thankfully had smart tvs, Netflix and prime available. If we can’t connect phones to the TVs this is a great alternative and we appreciated the feature, people want to relax after long days out in the sun and this was a bonus (hotels in Kuta are a bit outdated and use satellite tvs). We stayed in the stand alone villa, however the neighbours opposite us were so respectful that being in the double story would likely be an equally comfortable stay. Would definitely love to see them expand the Khamara suites, it’s a perfect and well thought out villa. So clean, amazing amenities and overall a perfect hotel and stay.

I’d highly recommend bringing scuba shoes as theres a lot of coral on the beachfront, wouldn’t say it’s the most swimmable beach due to this however the pool beside the villas are awesome and will solve that problem. Or if you’re up extra early or down for an evening swim/ canoeing session that’ll work well, it’s just too hot during the day for it imo. Will say I wish the showers got a deeper scrub. As they don’t get much sunlight mold is growing in the silicone where the glass panel is. I think it just needs to be recalked often, not really on the staff that this doesn’t get attention.

Khamara was the last stop of our Bali trip and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were all lovely and my husband even got a reputation as the long island iced tea drinker which was so funny. The sand is so white and the sea is turquoise. Its an idyllic beach location and is pretty close to the ferry port. Probably could have walked from the ferry but arranged a car pickup with the hotel as the roads can be a little scary. Thanks Khamara we would love to come back one day.

Nothing, khamara was perfect.

The room was beautiful and had a fantastic view. Location is right on the beach so you can easily watch a beautiful sunrise and sunset with Mt Agung and Bali in full view. Ocean view from my bed. The accommodation is near the harbor which is so convenient. Breakfast was great, from my experience they have used fresh ingredients in their food which I liked. The pool is great and overall Khamara provides a relaxing experience. In addition to the great restaurant at Khamara, there are good restaurants nearby on the beach that we could explore. Staff is excellent and friendly. Room was nice and clean.

Exceptional, right on the beach. Excellent hospitality from all but especially from manager Agung. Restaurant offer lot of very delicious food for breakfast, lunch or diner. Rooms are clean with balcony or terrace and view on the beach and Bali. If no clouds you can see mountain Agung. All what you need is to come and enjoying. What you see on the picture, you get this and even more better is when you at beach and look around 360 degrees !!!

On low tied, not possible to swim because coral are on depth of 30cm. But at that time we were using pool that is infront of our rooms. In front of Hotel is "main" road, so over night you may hear some car or motorbike noise.

The staff gave exceptional service, and kept the property clean and well maintained at all times. The location was perfect, the views of Mt Agung and the ocean were beautiful. We saw dolphins swimming by and it was awesome to watch all the boats from our balcony. We loved all the food and cocktails, the outlook from the restaurant was amazing. It was a very relaxing stay, wish it could have been longer.

I messaged the hotel before our arrival and they sorted a taxi from the harbor which I’m so glad about as it’s a bit hectic as you’re coming off the boat. We got engaged and when we got back to the venue they surprised me by decorating the room BEAUTIFULLY and made a table setting for breakfast at the beach. I can’t thank the staff enough for how genuinely kind and welcoming they were.

liked everything about it. It's a tiny wonderful hotel and a club on the beach with the most courteous staff, nice music and graet vibe. . Every request was met immediately! We were dropped off at the port offered to help us buy ferry tickets to Gili Travangan. Situated right on the beach . Breakfasts and food in the restaurantwas more than delicious. The mango smoothie below was amazing !!! I will miss this place.

Nothing , only tha fact that I stayed there only 2 nights . My advice - stay longer !!!

This place has 3 rooms by the beach, shared pool and outside kitchen area. Good breakfast served in the restaurant. Motorbike rent available. Great location. This place had everything you would want to have from Nusa Penida vacation!

Only thing to improve is to serve food for whole table at the same time. Often my wife had already eaten before I got my food.

The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing! The service from Bintang the main hostess and another member of staff (we can’t remember his name) was exceptional. The rooms were beautiful and the beach was so relaxing. The location was excellent. You can either walk up the road to many cafes and restaurants or you can hire a motorbike. The hotel was very clean and fresh drinking water was available. Highly recommend
