Location: The hotel is located in a very quiet area in South Lombok. From Bangsal Port it took us about 1.5-2 hours to get to the hotel. The hotel is located right at the beach front and is as of Sept 2024 the only hotel at this beach, which is its major advantage. It is a really quiet place, easy to relax and calm down. If you look for a quite place to escape in paradise Amber is a 10/10. Accommodation: The rooms, pool area, dining area, reception, gym and Spa as well as the beach front itself are build with lots of little details that have amazed us right away. Everything is build in a minimalistic way but yet still very comfy. 10/10 Activities: Although is located quite in the middle of „nowhere“, there are lots of things to do. You can book lots of trips to waterfalls, snorkeling, or fishing with the hotel. We booked a surfing lesson at Selong Belanak Beach with a local surfschool organized by Amber. It was great fun and a really good spot for beginners. Renting a scooter and exploring the surrounding was a blast as well. We did 2 Spa treatments as well and felt great afterwards. Nothing less than 10/10 Kitchen/food: A mixture of national (rice dishes, fresh fish) and international (pasta, pizza, burger) cuisine is served. The food was especially for the prices top notch, here again kudos to the chef as it was really fine dining at the beach front for affordable prices. There are multiple options for vegetarians in the menu as well. We tried the menu up and down and did not have a bad experience at all. Very delicious. 10/10 Service: The service was simply great, everyone was smiley and happy, we had a great time. Independent of the reception, restaurant, pool area, Spa, security or gardeners, everyone was really kind and offered their help at all times.

We stayed at Amber Resort Hotel from the 14th to the 19 th of December. We had a great time there and we enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was fine. The room was kept very clean; it was lovely to have cold and hot drinks in the room. The staff was very helpful and attentive to us. I would like to mention Adi who was exceptional. He would explain all the sites to visit in Lombok and activities to do. We followed his advice and thanks to him, we enjoyed so much being in Lombok. He could well be an organizer for places to visit, he’s amazing and he knows his island very well. A special thanks to him. Ronie was great as well and he helped us in many ways, advising us too. A very warm Thanks to him as well. Ali and Alejandro were helpful to us as well. We had a marvelous stay thanks to everybody working in the hotel. Thanks to everyone.

Location, facilities, pool area, staff and restaurant all fantastic. We had an amazing room location right by the pool with sea views that I wasn’t expecting. Considering its remote location and having to eat and drink at the property, the prices were excellent, and has happy hours twice a day!

Our room was showing signs of wear and tear. Could use some TLC. I understand that with salt air and Lombok humidity is must be difficult, but the bathroom in particular smelt a little funky With all purchases at Amber be aware that there is over 20% added to cover tax and tips. (Same everywhere in Lombok)

This is the third time I have come to this hotel with my family and friends and it is always so exceptional. A perfect stay! The hotel is beautiful, very well located and impeccably clean. The staff is very attentive, always smiling and ready to help, especially the employees Rina and Ardy, Professional and attentive, they really made the difference and made our experience even more enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, and the restaurant was excellent with very good service, especially the best waiter is called Lalu Adha, remarkably attentive and kind throughout the meals. A big thank you to all the staff for this moment, we will come back with pleasure, I highly recommend this hotel without hesitation!

The resort had a great, relaxed beach vibe. The property was in immaculate condition and spotlessly clean. The decor in the rooms was contemporary and neutral with decorative items predominantly made from natural materials. Not typically Indonesian in style. The gardens were absolutely beautiful; the various shades of green contrasting spectacularly against the bright white of the buildings' walls. The restaurant had a very good selection of menu items - with all the resort classics. I loved the variety of the plentiful seating options around the pool and restaurant- there was always somewhere available to sit or lie. Staff were very attentive and willing to please - a special thank you to Karin who went above and beyond to assist us with some medical issues one of us experienced whilst staying. I would highly recommend this resort if you don't mind the remoteness of the location and are happy to chill out in a quiet, relaxed spot.

The location of the resort is quite isolated. There are no other warongs or restaurants within walking distance. The closest alternatives to the resort restaurant are at Selong Balanak beach - 15 mins drive away. This is a bit inconvenient if you like accessible variety when on hols, without the hassle of booking a transfer. Our room safe was not lockable for the first 48 hrs of our stay. Several staff attempted to fix it before someone was successful. The wardrobe space was inadequate. I like to unpack, especially when staying 6 nights. We had to stack our clothes on one small shelf and hanging space was for shirts only - nothing for dresses.

The location and beach are wonderful. The resort is well built into the surroundings, great design and thought went into this. The staff is what makes it special - front desk people like Rizal and Ardy were very accommodating, making our stay super pleasant. The wait staff at the sole restaurant were exceptional and professional. One of the top stays in my vacation travels and highly recommended

like most island resorts plumbing can be an issue. Nothing major just a typical issue faced by such resorts.

We had a truly lovely time at this hotel. The place is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for relaxing. But what made our experience really special was the kindness and support of the staff. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short by one night due to an unexpected family situation that required us to return home. The hotel staff responded with so much understanding and compassion, and they went out of their way to support us during this difficult moment. We are very grateful for their warm hospitality and flexibility. It meant a lot to us and made a real difference. Thank you again – we hope to return one day!

The resort is situated next to one of the more beautiful beaches we saw traveling Bali and Lombok. The location is really remote, there's no other hotels and only a handful of houses nearby. Which is great for relaxing and soaking up the beautiful nature, but I'd keep my stay on the shorter end. The resort is nicely designed and well maintained throughout. The pool and restaurant area is especially gorgeous. There are plenty of comfy sunbeds, some facing the pool, some facing the beach. There are none on the beach itself though. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. There's a wide range of high quality food options, though it was the most expensive hotel restaurant we had during our travels. Also there are no other food options nearby. Breakfast is a great mix of buffet and a la carte with a wide variety of options. We paid 60€/night for a spacious room with access to a large semi private pool shared with two more rooms. We liked the minimalistic interior design and the large bathroom, although they really should add more storage space. They have their own transport service, shout out to our awesome driver Marco. Overall it's a great deal and I'd definitely recommend staying here.

They add an excessive extra 10% tax and 11% service charge to the already high prices by Indonesian standards. Added separately, so it comes out to ~22% on top. Local warungs mostly include everything in the price, other restaurants charge 10-15% at most. I was initially positively surprised that they had a small air-conditioned gym. Unfortunately the single treadmill was broken, the belt was slipping heavily. Since that's really dangerous for an unsuspecting user, I immediately told the front desk about it. The next day it was still the same and they didn't even block it off.

From the moment we arrived at Amber Resort, everything was beyond amazing. The hospitality and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. Rendi ensured our room was always spotless and inviting—his dedication didn’t go unnoticed! Every morning, Isna and Kanik greeted us with warm smiles and took exceptional care of us during breakfast. The food was consistently delicious — every single dish we tried was a treat! The live music in the evenings added the perfect touch to our island experience—relaxing, and beautifully performed. The resort amenities were top-notch: the pool, the gym, and the spa treatments incredibly rejuvenating. Our room was not only comfortable but also beautifully maintained and quiet. Amber Resort is a true gem in Lombok, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you to the entire team for making our time so special! 🧡

The staff were incredible. Welcoming and friendly. Nothing was a problem. Also the resort is kept in immaculate condition - facilities, room, garden. All well designed and up to date.

As a gluten free diner (I have coeliac disease) I had hoped for more options. The GF bread supplied was inedible. So I was left with fruit and eggs for breakfast. Even if gf french toast and/or waffles had been available it would have been good to have something different. My only option for gf dessert was fruit again. The beach is lovely but it’s not that pleasant to swim in the sea - strong currents and churned up water, and the sea bed is uneven and rocky.
