We cannot fault our stay at Segara. EVERYTHING was exceptional, we arrived late due to flight delays and change in transport from flight to ferry, but Segara staff were very accommodating, organising a driver to pick us up from the ferry terminal, welcomed us with drinks and refreshment towels and the restaurant was still open to have dinner. They even organised a bike for us for the morning. The staff were so beautiful, we felt very welcomed and looked after the WHOLE time. The food was very very good, I am coeliac and they even had a gluten free menu which they always remembered to bring out when we sat down to eat. The room was gorgeous and clean, the photos online do not give it justice. The grounds including the pool and beach were so luscious, we felt like we were in a movie. We will most definitely be back. We miss it already and can’t wait to stay again!

Does Segara Lombok have all the ingrediënt to be your slice of Heaven? You Choose. The resort is very beautiful, well maintained and very clean. The whole staff goes out of their way in a very pleasant and relaxed way. The combination of their kindness and training is very succesfull. The food is delicious with a lot of healthy options. The bungalow has a drop-dead bathroom and is very, very clean. The Pool is big with enough beds and some shade. From every spot on the resort you are enjoying the spectacular view of the waves of the ocean. The prices are above for Indonesian Standard but so is the service and here is where you can choose: is this your slice of Heaven? YES if you enjoy all of the above, not minding that you travelled half of world and payed a lot of money to escape your worklife just to find that this little resort allows evereybody to work on laptops in their beautiful restaurant, having live meetings and online meeting about margings and profits and investing and so on on speakerphone in the restaurant all day long ( meaning from 7.30 till 22.00..) and not just one, but a lot!! Having your fresh, delicous lobster listening to meetings about Investments, margins and profits… And there is the surfers and backbackers who are allowed to sleep on the only two loungesets in the restaurant area or to spend their entire day on the gazebo’s on a free, refillable bottle of water, meaning that you, as a paying hotelguest do not have the option to use one of the gazebo’s because they are all taken by the time you finished your breakfast…. So, again: a big YES if you do not mind all of this or a big NO if you do. You choose.

We loved our stay at Segara! The bungalows are amazing, and right in front is a stunning beach. With only 10 bungalows in the resort, it never felt crowded, which made it the perfect place to relax. The swimming pool was great, and the food at the restaurant was delicious (especially important since there aren’t many other dining options nearby). The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was clean, very comfortable, and well-maintained. We also appreciated being able to rent a scooter directly through the resort, and there were plenty of options available for booking trips and activities.

Everything was perfect.

The resort grounds are immaculate and the gardens are lovely. The resort's structures are attractive with a natural aesthetic that blends perfectly with the setting and the layout is well designed. It's very quiet, with a nearly complete absence of noise from motorcycles and mosques, and no disturbing sounds whatsoever. The room's air conditioner is also whisper quiet. It's a real treat to hear only the sounds of nature. The food at the restaurant is very good and the food is reasonably priced. The resort is really well managed and the staff are very friendly, helpful and competent. They rent scooters with helmets directly from the resort which is very convenient. The room is very well designed and the al fresco bathroom especially beautiful.

I experienced random slowdowns and dropouts of Internet connectivity, perhaps due to overload, but the Wi-Fi signal was strong throughout the resort area and it did work well most of the time.

The highlight for me was definitely the beautiful beach right in front of the resort — calm, clean, and perfect for relaxing or just enjoying the view. 🌊 The breakfast was fantastic every morning — lots of delicious options and fresh ingredients to start the day right. And I have to give a big shoutout to the friendly and helpful staff who made us feel so welcome throughout our stay.

If I may suggest one small improvement, it would be the access road to the hotel, which could be made a bit smoother or more clearly marked for new visitors. Other than that, everything was wonderful!

Close enough to hear the sea all around the Resort. Great staff especially in the restaurant, they were great with my little boy, chatting to him and entertaining him as they made various smoothies & delicious concoctions. A play box with games and books and child friendly area where young kids can play in eyesight of restaurant. Good recommendations and transport for beginner surf lessons over the hill at Selong Belanak beach. Really helpful when we had to go to the clinic for an ear infection and when we had to stay an extra night when our flight got cancelled. Good food & snacks, hope to go back again soon.

The coral and rough sand limited our beach and sea time a bit but Selong Belanak is only 5 mins drive with lovely soft sand & gentler surf and waves. The public road a couple of metres from our room was very noisy all night for a couple of nights but I think this is rare and the sea worm festival was quite fun to catch the end of... 3-7am... thousands of people with head torches and jars all over the low tide with music and noisy exhausts...

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel – it truly is the best place to stay in Lombok! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, but a special shoutout goes to Akhmad, who was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, with beautiful, well-maintained grounds and comfortable, stylish rooms. The attention to detail is impressive – everything from the cozy bedding to the modern amenities made our stay feel luxurious. The location is fantastic, peaceful yet conveniently close to the best attractions, beaches, and restaurants. Whether you want to relax by the pool, explore the island, or enjoy delicious local cuisine, this place has it all. What really stood out was the genuine kindness of the staff. They remembered our names, always checked in to ensure we were happy, and even offered great recommendations for things to do. It felt like staying with friends rather than at a hotel. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding service, this is the place to book. We will definitely be returning and recommending it to everyone. beach front the staff - mixed here- a couple were amazing amidst a few who were maybe training or more shy? room- GORGEOUS outdoor bathroom [I find outdoor bathrooms to be a bit hit and miss- these were LUXE as], indoor pretty simple but had great linen/good A.C/TV/fridge and mini bar, in-room SUPER reasonably priced [for a hotel] massage; the BEST massage Ive had across >10 trips to indo she was AMAZING Pool/outdoor area with little huts/bean bags CHILL vibe/not pretentious at all [proper definition of luxe IMO] Just get the lobster grill. Enough said. Can surf right out in front, easy waves nothing too heavy before a stellar brekkie and GREAT flat white back at the hotel. Great breakfasts; al a carte.

Cant think of anything specifically to the hotel. PLEASE NOTE- DO NOT GO TO SELONG BELANAK BEACH- we went, and were bitterly dissapointed by the excessive beach rubbist [well beyond usual amount for indo] Hotel - thankfully- is a good 10 mins away and the beach the hotel is on is gorgeous, just not an easy walking beach as 'sinky sand' but stunning no rubbish, no street hawkers/sellers, just heaven and peace.

Beautiful beach resort with perfectly manicured gardens, pool and restaurant. There are many different, cosy opportunities to relax by the pool and on the beach. The food is excellent, the staff very attentive and helpful in every way. The bungalows are a dream; very well maintained, beautifully furnished and stylish with open-plan bathrooms. The location is also great; you can explore the various beaches in the south-west and you can be in Kuta in 45 minutes (which we didn't really like though). And a huge plus: you finally don't hear any mosques because the hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood! We felt very comfortable and would have loved to stay longer. Really everything TOP!!! PS: best Pina Colada ever ;-) Thank you so much for everything, dear Segara team!!!

Everything was perfect!

Segara was a little haven of paradise. Small and intimate with only 10 villas. A beautiful spot right on the beach, gorgeous pool, amazing food and wonderful, friendly & helpful staff. We loved our stay. Yes it’s a little remote but that’s part of the appeal. They include transfers to Selong Belanak and to other local resorts if you want to go somewhere else for a meal. We had 2 dinners at Segara and 4 others at local hotels and all were amazing. We also did an amazing tour to waterfalls and a local village and enjoyed lunch in the home of one of their staff. A truly unique and special experience. We hired scooters from them for 3 days and also hired a car one day to explore further afield. Plus we had amazing massages.
