It was just fab from start to finish. Rooms, food, staff, location, everything was great. Responsiveness of staff to our young family was outstanding. Never met such genuinely nice staff- they basically looked after after 6 month old and 6 year old so my wife and I could eat together…

My only slight criticism was the gym. Lots of free weights, small range of cardio. No weights machines. Fine for most, but older people, less well versed users and those like me with rehab/low weight bearing capabilities, would struggle to find an appropriate workout.

I have to say Desa Potato Head was definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The kindness and efficiency of the staff was exceptional, the grounds were stunning (the facilities and design throughout the space feel like modern art), the ethos of wellness and sustainability was present throughout the hotel in innumerable ways and the delicious food at plant-based Tanaman Restaurant was the best food of our entire two-week trip. The main standout aspect of Desa PH for me was the centring of wellbeing for the planet and for us as people. We decided to take part in quite a few of the sustainability and wellness activities that were available; from a 7am 'Morning Beach Clean up' to a 7pm 'Under the Rising Moon: Full Moon Meditation' and were constantly blown away by the profundity of each experience. It became so much more than just a beach holiday for sure! The tri-part reverence for Nature, People and God that appeared so constant in Balinese culture is likewise evident in Desa Potato Head. Especially for those who are spiritual inclined, I would recommend staying here and leaning in to as many of the workshops etc. that are available as possible. But even if you just want the beach, cocktails and music, you will love it here - the DJ's were spinning so many bangers the whole time that you can't help but feel good vibes, and food and drinks can be ordered all day to the comfy shaded daybeds. Lastly - the sunset. Being a Londoner it's not something we see very vividly on a daily basis but we were moved to silence by the sheer unfiltered beauty of the Sun every evening. Whether we watched from the sunset park, the poolside daybeds or stood in the ocean as it gently disappeared on the horizon, there are no words for that perfect, unobstructed view. You have to see it for yourself! Thank you Desa Potato Head for such a fun, restorative and enlightening stay. Counting down the days till we're back again :)

The bathroom in our Island Suite felt a little worn down and grubby in corners around the bath and shower, which was a shame as the room was quite expensive, but the housekeeping kept everything as clean as possible nonetheless and it wasn't so bad that we were put off using it. With a bathroom refurbishment the room would be perfect, but I'm sure many rooms are newer than others so don't be deterred!

A terrific stay at Potato Head Suites and Studios - which lives up to its billing as a "Top 50 global hotel" thanks to its warm and friendly service, beautiful and interesting architecture, a wide range of dining options, and sustainable practices. Our suite was beautifully designed, blending modern elegance with traditional Balinese elements to create a cozy and stylish ambiance. Shout out to the in-suite cocktail bar, which was the perfect place to mix our own signature drinks.  There are plenty of places to eat, we loved the breakfast by the beach, and had a delicious dinner at Indonesian restaurant Kaum. There is also easy access to plenty of bars and restaurants in Seminyak - many within walking distance. Loved the guest-only pool on the beach front, which offers a slightly more chill atmosphere compared to the beach club next door, which has more of a party vibe. Overall, our stay at Potato Head was exceptional. What truly sets them apart is the outstanding service. From the friendly security guards who welcomed us "home" to the attentive front office and F&B teams, every interaction was filled with warmth and hospitality. Combining luxury, sustainability, art and architecture, and genuine care for guests, Desa Potato Head exceeded all of our expectations.

The hotel is in a great location with a stunning pool overlooking the ocean. The rooms are well-equipped and spacious. There are plenty of different places to eat and the staff are excellent and go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one.

The whole experience was amazing from the moment you step in. The check in process was very smooth. everyone is welcoming and they call you by your name which makes you feel at home and you belong. The place had a beautiful vibe and energy.

The Breakfast variety could be better and have more options especially for kids. We didn't try the other restaurants. but for the main breakfast we felt it didn't quiet meet our expectation.

My stay here was magnificent. This is one of the world's 50 best hotels. Why is this hotel one of the best in the world? It is for its sustainability, creativity and design. They have a zero-waste goal and one of the hottest beach clubs in Seminyak. They focus on relaxation, healing and wellness. The staff, my studio, the restaurants, food, the classes, grounds, pool area and beach club were great. You are welcomed with open arms along with snacks, local drink and gifts. My room was wonderful with comfy bed, great shower, lots of treats and essentials. The breakfast was out of this world. The instructors/healers for meditation and yoga were amazing. I am truly happy that I decided to stay here to end my trip in Bali. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED HANDS DOWN!!!!!

Everything! Staff were exceptional, food was delicious and well presented, our room exceeded our expectations - super stylish with a very comfortable bed!. The staff really go above and beyond to make your stay so memorable- nothing was too much trouble. We were also travelling with our 7 month old baby and they really took care of us - little touches like having a room made up for us to relax in pre check in so we had somewhere for our baby to sleep (we didn’t request this - again this staff just going above and beyond to ensure our comfort). We had some concerns about staying here with such a young baby with the possible noise of the beach club etc but we shouldn’t have been! The rooms were well sound proofed (Island Suite Room) and we weren’t disturbed at all!. We loved it so much we decided to book additional nights here at the end of our trip. We’ve travelled a lot and have been fortunate to stay at some amazing hotels but Potato Head is firmly top of the list!
