Large room. comfortable large bed. Excellent wifi. Large bathroom. Nice breakfast served on balcony. Lovely pool. Jungle surrounds luxuriant.

Bathroom had raised cement edges around the disused shower which were dangerous if tripped on. I covered them with the floor mats. Room smelt musty. There were 30 steps down to the pool level, then 16 steps up to the room.

Quiet spot in the madness of Ubud. We had 3rd floor room and mint near noise from neighbors. There is a stream that flows near the proper and the sound is very relaxing. It’s off the main road so easier to stroll around, which is hard to do on the chaotic Main Street. Friendly staff and clean pool. Get a massage at nearby Lily Spa!!!!!

Aircon was directly over the head of the bed. I like a firm bed, but wow, the bed is FIRM. Don’t leave any food out or the ants will invade quickly. There is stairs to reach the rooms and pool. Google maps shows property at the street, but it is down a path that cars can not get to. The rocks are a neat concept for the shower, but made getting to the toilet odd.

Third time staying at this place (and not my last). It's just off Jalan Bisma (a laneway street that runs off the Main Street), yet you don't hear any of the hustle and bustle of the madness of Jalan Raya due to it being set back down a quaint lane from the street. The soothing sounds of the creek that runs by the property drown out any noise from the main streets, yet a small 2 min walk has you on Bisma where there is countless restaurants and shopping on a beautifully paved street adjacent to the main street Jalan Raya. The staff are so beautiful and kind and go above and beyond to guarantee that you are comfortable and all your needs are met. There is an abundance of restaurants to choose from as you exit the property and you also have an M Mart located across the road from the property which is handy for any items of convenience or bottled water plus two Circle K convenience stores close by and a bottle shop with great wines 50 metres from the entrance. The small hotel doesn't have a huge restaurant on site but it has enough items on the menu at a reasonable price if you are seeking solace to hunker down and just escape the chaos that can consume you. It's a stones throw to the sacred monkey forest which is stunning and definitely worth a visit. However, most days by the pool l often spotted a monkey tribe say hello while they dried off on the roof of the pool gazebo after they had a freshen up in the creek beside the property. I have stayed in the deluxe double room twice and also the twin room by the poolside and both rooms have an outstanding outlook, however, the deluxe double on the third floor is my favourite due to its height and outlook into the trees. Ayu who works in the front office and also helps the team out is an absolutely beautiful soul who will make sure you are comfortable and greet you with warmth and kindness every time you exit or enter the property; as does Kadek.

The only thing I would say is a caution, is that when it rains for a few days the stairs can become quite slippery. But it wouldn't deter me from staying here again. It's just a precautionary measure to be taken when you're staying here for a few days. But this would be equal to any property in Ubud that deals with more rain than the beachside towns. The only orher thing I didn’t like was that i had to leave to go back home!

Great staff very helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic, quiet and set off jalan bisma, with views of jungle and sounds of nature, yet just a few seconds from the bustle of bisma and then one at the end of bisma you are on the very busy Main Street. The pool was great and it was great having direct access with the family rooms on the ground floor. The other good thing is that you can access the sacred monkey Forrest in just 10 mins by walking the opposite direction to town.It was also lovely being served breakfast on your terrace facing the pool. I would highly recommend this place

The room is a bit humid (I understand this is inevitable in the area) and you do notice a smell when you enter but we discovered the “dry” function on the aircon which really helped and it didn’t bother me in the end.

It’s breathtaking to walk down the stairs to be greeted by this monolithic building nestled among the palms and rainforest. Beautiful pool area and neatly tucked away enough to be quiet and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the main street but still in an extremely prime location to access all of it and then duck away out of sight to rejuvenate. There is even the odd monkey that will pop by the pool gazebo roof or railing to say hello.

The only thing lacking is smart TV’s to be able to watch Netflix and other streaming apps on.

This hotel is an absolute gem and incredible value for money! Really close to the centre of Ubud and a very short walk from the monkey forest, lots of amazing restaurants on the same street. The property was absolutely beautiful and our room was very spacious and felt very relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and very lovely to my partner and I, and were very easy to contact via WhatsApp. We were able to order a massage to our room which was a favourite. The room service was lovely and always came with a smile.

We really liked our stay at Alam Terrace. It was comfortable and the service was friendly. They had great communication. The pool was also great! We had monkeys invade on one day and the staff managed to shoo them away, so all they provided was entertainment, rather than a nuisance. The room had everything we needed. It was located in a very central part of town with access to everything we needed nearby (ATM, food, convenience stores, chemist, doctor, kid friendly restaurants/cafes).

We travelled with toddlers, and the stairs were a bit tall for them. But we were still able to navigate them together. We thought being on the ground floor meant that we didn't have to navigate stairs, but there are stairs from reception down the to property.

- really nice staff; - outdoor space is beautiful, so as the view from the balcony; - very close to the center and still out of the village noise; - close to several restaurants, supermarkets, bars and atm (up to 5 min walking distance along the street)

- at 5am we were awaken by a weird noise of animals moving outside quickly - after confirming with the staff it was probably some monkeys or bats; - when we were by the pool a group of monkeys invaded the outdoor space and caught us by surprise. They hunted and caught all food they other guests left at the balcony. The staff members were quick to act though!

The location was spot on! Everything is walking distance. You have the bars, shops , restaurants and spas at walking distance. Monkey forest is also walking distance. You have the peacefulness and tranquility of the hotel with large rooms, clean swimming pool and lovely staff. I am already planning my holiday for next year to bring the family here. Love it. Towels could smell a little nicer.

Alam terrace was the perfect place to enjoy a stay in Ubud. It was central to everything we needed in walking distance from bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and accommodating they cleaned our room everyday and even did our laundry. The pool area is very relaxing and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It was a bonus that the beds are comfortable and the shower was great, all in all would highly recommended Alam Terrace for anyone wishing to stay in Ubud.
