Overall great stay, we loved the location, bungalows are spacious and nice, pool is really perfect surrounded by greenery... We heard every night the sounds of the jungle/nature. Some really great rated restaurants are around, as well as nice walks in rice fields and if you do not mind to walk, the monkey forest is also easily accessible from here.

The property was good and affordable. I appreciated friendly staff and location (it's close to restaurants, museums, landmarks). The internet connection was OK but a bit slow though. The pool was clean.

Sometimes mosquitoes and geckos could get into your room, but there is a canopy, so you can sleep well.

Comfortable spacious cottage in perfect location for doing and seeing everything in Ubud. An oasis of calm very close to the centre with all the cafes bars and restaurants. The small pool was very nice and the breakfast served on the veranda was tasty with fruits omelette toast etc.

We loved it. Unfortunately there was miscommunication somewhere and we almost didn’t get our breakfast on the day we were leaving at 7.30 but it was fine on the other days

Cost/comfort was exceptional! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was basic but tasty and satisfying. The pool was clean and comfortable. Everything was just right, especially for the bargain price.

If you don’t like nightlife, I don’t recommend this place. This was no problem for us as we love live music. But, four of the surrounding bars/restaurants had live bands that played until 11:30-midnight. Reasonable for the center of Ubud.

Great location. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The street is full of good restaurants. There is a good yoga class nearby in Honeymoon Guesthouse.

It was a bit noisy at night because there is a rice field full of frogs next door and also when traffic starts, so take earplugs if possible.

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Chempaka! - the little villa is so spacious, it's amazing when used to regular hotel rooms or hostels :D - great set of amenities - nice and clean pool free to use - you're in your little cocoon - some comments say it's less of a "personal" connection with the staff, but we actually enjoyed being left alone a little bit - great breakfast! served on your patio - 10/15m walk from the Monkey Street - very clean room - great AC

A little Oasis in the hustle and bustle of Ubud Older style bungalows with private Verandah.. Big rooms and comfy beds Fall asleep to the sound of Frogs 🐸 and other wildlife 😍 Beautiful little pool to cool yr soul on a hot sweaty day.. Great restaurants and bars around Amazing breakfast delivered to yr bungalow each morning.. Pleasant helpful staff to help with any needs 5 ⭐️

We loved the Villa, it’s comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The location is great, the street has plenty of restaurants, cafes, spas, mini-markets, ATMs etc and a short walk to get to the Ubud centre. Good wifi speed. We were permitted to check out late by an hour for free which was quite convenient for us. We’ll be recommending this villa to our friends and also will happily book again.

A couple of minor points as it weren’t really any major inconvenience - - Is that the daily room service was a bit inconsistent - some days we got hand towels, some day we didn’t. Same with the water bottles, collection of used towels etc. The water bottles needed a bottle opener which wasn’t provided. - We didn’t use the pool but it didn’t seem very inviting, it was right outside someones villa, no pool towels provided (we didn’t ask either)

Very clean. Good AC, house has also good isolation so stays cold. Just far enough away from the main street to have a very silent environment (ofc you hear birds etc). Traditional accommodation so do not expect the most modern facilities (simple shower e.g.). But everything gets the job done! Staff is very friendly and helpful!

Fridge did not really work. Breakfast was OK, but limited.
