From the moment I stepped onto the serene grounds of Komaneka at Bisma, I felt like I had arrived somewhere sacred. Nestled in the lush jungle just a short stroll from the heart of Ubud, this resort is more than a hotel—it’s a sanctuary for the soul. The views from my suite were absolutely breathtaking. I woke up each morning to the gentle rustle of palm trees and the sight of the forest bathed in golden sunlight. The room itself was spacious and beautifully appointed, blending modern luxury with authentic Balinese design. Every detail—from the deep soaking tub to the handcrafted woodwork—was thoughtfully curated. What truly set this experience apart, though, was the staff. Warm, gracious, and genuinely attentive, they made me feel seen and cared for at every turn. Whether it was the personalized welcome, the turndown notes, or the kind conversations in passing, their hospitality was heartfelt and never forced. I especially loved the infinity pool overlooking the jungle, the peaceful breakfast terrace, and the indulgent spa treatments. There’s something magical about enjoying tea and fruit after a massage while listening to the river below. Komaneka at Bisma gave me the quiet luxury I didn’t even realize I needed. It was the perfect blend of calm, comfort, and connection to nature. I left feeling grounded, restored, and deeply grateful. Would I return? In a heartbeat. This place will forever hold a special place in my memory.

Nothing that I didn’t like

Room is excellent and authentic, stuff is so friendly and polite. If you call the room service asking for any help, they will come to you in a minute. Terrace is amazing, pool is amazing. The room is actually very big, a lot of little things are provided here that you will not find in any other hotel (ex: cookies if you want to drink tea, ice for your whisky, candles in your bathroom and terrace). Location is in the center of Ubud. If you want to feel the actual jungle atmosphere it's the best place. Overall I'm very satisfied and want say thank you Komaneka stuff, here you can feel at home. After a long flight when I came to the room and to the terrace I relaxed right away. Here you can just sit and listen to the sounds of the jungle and of the mountain river. In this hotel you can feel a personal attitude to you, that's wonderful. I just can't express in words my satisfaction of staying here and once again want to say thanks a lot to all the people who are working here.

The tranquility of this hotel is next level. The beautiful peaceful grounds and infinity pool were gorgeous. It’s about a 20-30 minute walk into main Ubud (Monkey Forest Rd). We had a family suite which was located on the lower levels. We did need to keep our window shades mostly closed for privacy. The room was big and plenty of space for a family of 3 adults. The little lounge area and small kitchen was sufficient. No coffee machine. The walk track around this hotel is so beautiful, we saw plenty of little waterfalls, animals and the thriving Campluhg River. The road outside of the hotel JL Bisma is challenging. There’s sporadic footpaths, not easy to walk as you’re competing with the transport. Plenty of restaurants and mini marts around the streets outside of the hotel. This is a very quiet and peaceful hotel. The staff as usual in Bali were excellent.

No coffee machine. The lighting in the living area was very poor at night in the Family Suite. Breakfast buffet was small, we didn’t mind but we can understand other guest reviews comments.

Everything was superb!!

Staff were lovely & so obliging. Everything we needed in the room was supplied to us. The only thing we would recommend is to offer a top sheet on the beds because sometimes with the heat & airconditioning you need only a light covering. A quilt can be too hot even a light one.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! What a beautiful location and views from the room. The place was spotless, the staff could not have been more helpful and interested in ensuring our stay was perfect. The food was lovely and good value in this more upmarket hotel. Afternoon tea was really nice, always different during our 4 night stay. The two swimming pools were lovely. The whole place had such a nice relaxed welcoming atmosphere. The room was really big- a suite with huge bath and separate shower area. Huge comfy bed and large balcony with great views over rice paddy gardens and jungle.

Having to leave! We couldn't fault this place and we've stayed in LOTS of places.

The Komaneka at Bisma is a very elegant and well designed hotel. It sits on a hillside overlooking forest and rice paddies. The pool area is beautiful with dark tiles that merges the pool to the forest surrounds. The room was very spacious and everything worked well. Little details like hand wrapping soap in the shower, a loofah supplied, ice bucket always filled with fresh ice. The restaurant overlooks the pool and forest of green. The menu had a great mix of Asian, Indonesian and international food. I thoroughly enjoyed trying all the different Balinese and Indonesian dishes. So fresh and tasty! The hotel is situated a 10 minute walk from Ubud central. Coming back into the hotel after wandering the streets was a joy with the noise of the streets disappearing behind.

Where to start! Such a beautiful property in the heart of Ubud. We really enjoyed staying here as part of our honeymoon, and it was worth the extra splurge for us. The onsite rice terraces, walkways, and various pools were gorgeous. The room was tasteful well appointed. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious (we ordered the included room service one morning which was such a treat). The staff was so kind, always going above and beyond, and often addressing us by name (impressive!). Ferni in particular was fabulous at check-in. The location was top-notch, within easy walking distance to great restaurants, cafes, etc (I recommend Root down the street!). Yet - while on property, you would never guess you were in the heart of Ubud... it was a calm and magical oasis which felt worlds away from the chaos. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely everything! It is magical place! Amazing hotel! The colleagues of the hotel are just amazing! We got more than we could wish for! The area is so beautiful! They have a special good night ritual… what has impressed us so much! The location - in the Center but you feel yourself like in jungle! So quiet and peaceful! Breakfast- perfect! Beautiful peaceful resort situated right in the centre of Ubud, a close distance to everything. It's on a great road Bisma, which is a perfect mix of vibrant and charmingly interesting with lots of hostels, boutique hotels and restaurants and spas. The resort is like stepping into an elegant Balinese home with the stunning lobby and gorgeous pools. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Staff were amazing. Spa was super relaxing.

It's looking a bit tired and dated in places and could use a spruce up in particularly the external facade of the main buildings and pool toilets. And the food wasn't up to par with a luxury hotel unfortunately with a disappointing breakfast offering.

The hotel is perfectly located—right in the center of Ubud but far enough from the noisy areas, surrounded by lush greenery, which creates a peaceful and serene environment. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, cleaning our room twice a day. One of the highlights of our stay was the magnificent view from our room. It was absolutely stunning and added to the overall relaxing vibe of the hotel. One piece of advice: I highly recommend renting a scooter. Ubud traffic can be intense, and it sometimes took 30 minutes to cover just 1 km due to congestion. A scooter makes getting around much easier.

The breakfast, while decent, could definitely be improved, especially for vegetarians. The options were limited, which was a bit disappointing
