A series of lovely cottages along a beautiful garden path. They are separated from one another so noise is not an issue. The cottage is spacious and so is the bathroom. A mini bar is stocked with all items included in the room price (not free refills FYI). They have umbrellas to use if you get caught in the rain. The bed and mosquito net are a delight. The pool area is lovely, however if you are in cottages 5 and 6 there is a decent walk up to the pool area (the upside of these cottages is you are away from the road!) The staff tending to the rooms were always super friendly and polite. They bring and light mosquito coils at night if you're outside your room. If you don't have dietary requirements I believe you can have breakfast brought to your room, however we require gluten free so ate at their restaurant Gluten Free on Bisma with a discount.

There is no place to refill water bottles, however there is a mart just across the street from their cafe Gluten Free on Bisma.

Stayed in the pool villa behind the Gluten-free cafe. Staff were amazing, location was perfect - close to everything but private. No neighbours as such - once you close the garden/ pool area door, it’s completely shut off from the business outside. Being split level, there are two completely separate areas if you want to do something different than your travel partner - lounge/ pool below, bed/ balcony above - both with toilet - great! Wifi was better connected to the cafe rather than the Villa network. The staff pre warned me about the live music across the road Tues - Sat. I didn’t mind the thought of this as I knew I’d be out exploring, however it was very very! loud between about 8 - 11 pm so if you’re looking for serenity or an early night, maybe better to go with one of the other villas that are much further back from the street.

Private villa with pool - oasis in busy Ubud. The villa has two floors and a lot of space. Kitchen with fridge, microwave etc, very useful to have. The cafe next door is decent. A lot of lovely restaurants on the lane (esp the Japanese sushi place, amazing). It's close to everything in Ubud. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The private pool is very nice! The bar across the street is quite festive, but they have a lot of variety of music and some good talent. It ends at 11pm so not too bad! We had our toddler with us and he slept through it all with no issues.

Glass high window in bathroom would have been better as mesh. Had to close other windows at night as no mesh. Could get a bit stuffy because if this.

The location was central to markets, shopping and rest/cafes. It was a busy area, lots of traffic and people. Great choices for shopping, markets, eateries. The villa itself, was tucked away. Noise was minimal. Great aircon. Lovely staff. No need for transport into or out of town. This location is great for getting to know Ubud for the first time.

The beds could of been softer however, this is a minor complaint. We would stay here again and we would recommend it.

I stayed at Sama's for 5 nights with a friend and we had 2 cottages at the very end of the property facing each other but with a meditation deck and beautiful grounds surrounding us. Sama's is very central for Ubud and although off a main street there was no traffic noise in the property. The traffic was unbelievable so we ended up walking everywhere and were very grateful for the good location of Sama's cottages. The cottages are attractive with a comfortable bed, good shower, large bathroom and great air conditioning. The Wi-Fi worked well. Each cottage has its own veranda where breakfast was brought to us each morning. There is a good selection for breakfast and we had fruit, juice, coffee and eggs/bacon. There is bottled water in the room. Monkeys and squirrels romped through the trees behind the property but did not bother us. The pool was lovely with a proper deep end, a descent size with plenty of towels and recliners. As there are limited guests at Sama's the pool was usually very quiet. An adjoining Café can provide room service throughout the day but we choose to roam the plentiful local and close restaurants. We did not use the spa services but they were available. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The staff kept the property and cottages spotless and the sound of sweeping became quite soothing. The staff were never intrusive. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Ubud.

On arrival my door would not lock and the bathroom sink plug did not work. The door lock was repaired the next day but the sink plug never did get addressed. Not a major but I would have liked to have done some hand washing.

We really liked the location of our villa, both within the grounds as well as within Ubud. The villa was very spacious, and the added bonus of a kitchenette suited us very well. The lounge suite was fairly comfortable, and the big screen TV with netflix came in very handy when we had 2 days of almost constant rain . It is very close to shops, eateries, sights, mini mart and great French bakery. The pool was ok, just a little hard to get out of when you have joint pain.

It is always a little suspicious when online photos do not show the full room, in this case the bathroom. Even though it is very beautiful and large, the sunken bathtub with overhead shower is not easy to get in and out of for some people. It took us a few days to get used to. Tiles are slippery when wet, so extra caution needed.

The location was central, a haven in the bustle of Ubud - relaxing in the private pool was a highlight. The villa was well equipped and when the fridge broke one of the very friendly staff attended to it quickly. Breakfast was simple but delicious. The music at a nearby bar was loud in the evening but it did not go on past 11pm, the Sama’s staff had advised us of this issue before we stayed and offered alternative accommodation which we declined, some of the music was quiet good. Our stay was excellent would definitely stay here again.

The villa would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues - the internal stairs are very steep.

Excellent service. We enjoyed a beautiful, large, spotlessly clean room in cottage #1. Everything was wonderful. Top notch location. Hot breakfast was delicious and served exactly on time. The pool is in a beautiful, secluded area and very clean. We loved it and swam in it multiple times during our stay. Would book this resort if i ever again stayed in Ubud.

The towels and bed sheets could use an update. On the first day, my friend noted to me that the bath towels looked worn and dingy. I made a comment to the front desk, and the staff immediately changed out the stained towels to new, clean, fluffy white ones. Kudos for the great service.

The property is centrally located just off a main road, yet it offers a tranquil environment free from traffic noise. The cottages are clean and well-maintained, featuring spacious bathrooms and excellent air conditioning, along with reliable Wi-Fi. The pool is lovely and well-kept, with both a deep end and a shallow end to stand up in. There are always plenty of towels and recliners available. With a limited number of guests at any given time, the atmosphere remains quiet and peaceful. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Lighting could have been brighter in the rooms. Some staff had very little English, so trying to get our requests across was sometimes very difficult, though I could see they tried very hard.
