Great for the low price! Fantastic location tucked away so it’s quiet, but close enough to walk to the main street. GORGEOUS, lush, grounds make this a super picturesque spot! Nice cold AC that worked well (and was necessary in the Bali heat), WiFi worked great as well. Kind staff at reception helped me book my fast boat to another island at a price that was lower than other quotes I got. Friendly staff at the restaurant and free breakfast of tofu scramble was great (I really wanted mango sticky rice at breakfast time and it was no problem to order that for an additional charge off the dessert menu at 10am).

Rooms are a bit outdated, but you get what you pay for. Would skip the eggs benedict at breakfast. Beware if you’re a light sleeper and on the first floor that’s under a room above you, you can hear every footstep of the guests above. Also, shower is open in the bathroom right next to the toilet, so the entire bathroom will be soaking wet when you’re done (I think that’s the typical style in Indonesia, but just something to be aware of if you’re picky about your shower situation). Overall, very happy with my stay though!

The staff were fabulous. They were so sweet, kind and accommodating. They were so lovely and friendly and they made my stay very comfortable. The food, smoothies and drinks were lovely too. The location was perfect. It was within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars etc. There was entertainment in the evening from musicians to Balinese dancers. The pool and the grounds are lovely too. It is a very peaceful place off a busy street with lovely views and sounds from nature. The room was very spacious and clean and there was always hot water and the shower facilities were perfect. My room was cleaned daily and clean towels provided each morning. I would have loved to have stayed here longer. Thanks to everyone at Nick’s Pension for my lovely stay.

The massage parlour next door to the property wasn’t my favourite of all the ones I visited in Bali unfortunately.

This place is conveniently located . I had a bungalow at the end of. So quiet and green and yet so close to MF road . The room was big, clean and convenient with a strong airco and burning hot shower water and even a bath. I can not talk about the breakfast because I skipped them . I definitely will go back to Nicks place next time in ubud

There is nothing to complain about. Be aware it’s a big place so need to walk up and down a lot . I advice also a torch or use your handy at night .

- Location was perfect. We could reach everywhere by walking in Ubud center - Personnel was very kind and helpfull. I arrived 1 day later from my origina booking and hotel did not charge for that day. - Room defenetly needs renovation - Cleaning should be improved. There was a lot of spider webs under bed. Toilet was dirty. It would be better if they close the toilet. There is open spots which lizards might go in. -

Location was fab. Close enough to the main street to walk in 5mins but set back enough for it to be peaceful. We loved how traditional it was. Unfortunately I got Bali Belly whilst there (not from the accommodation) & as a lone parent, this meant I could not go out to get my daughter food. Staff were brilliant & brought food up to the room for her.

Bathroom had a bad smell from the water. However, we found this was common in most accommodations we stayed in, unless they were new hotels.

I loved the rice field and just the whole aesthetics of the place. The whole scenery was breathtaking as soon as you walk out of your room with that sunlight coming through. Breakfast was amazing - it had a choice of local or western food. I also liked how it was walking distance to the palace and the Main Street.

This is nothing against the property, it’s more to do with Ubud in general. Whenever I travel, I’m always looking for local food. Because of the amount of tourists that go to Ubud, the restaurants have to create a menu for western food. I had to walk around for an hour just to find a restaurant that served local food at their cost (not burgers and spaghetti at an affordable price). I became sad and upset that I didn’t get to enjoy the local food to experience Bali. However, I would totally go back to Nick’s Pension if I just wanted to sit, relax, and enjoy nature.

Excellent location set in calm gardens but close to centre of Ubud with shops, cafes, restaurants, cultural attractions. This is important as staying out of town means very difficult transport on congested roads. Staff are very friendly and always happy to help eg arranging taxi to airport.

Breakfast at the attached restaurant was very poor by Ubud standards which are generally very good. On the second day we elected to eat elsewhere. As a consequence, did not go to the restaurant for lunch or dinner.

I loved staying here for the location, friendly staff and large rooms. Bisma is a much quieter.street, but still a short walk to everything. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautifully maintained and inviting; enjoyed the view from my bed and sitting on the verandah taking in the bucolic setting. The rooms are large with great views, ceiling fans and air conditioning to keep cool. Keep in mind it's not a Western-style resort, so the rooms are basic (no tv, iron, hair dryer, usb ports etc).

The older rooms need a little updating, but that didn't detract from a wonderful stay. It would be great to have soap/shampoo in pumps for ease of use as the bottles with stoppers were hard to use/not practical.

1. Perfect for a get away to disappear and hibernate in Bali! 2. Beautifully designed, very private and right in the heart of Ubud. 3. The staff are friendly and helpful. Plus they have a water cooler at the lobby where you can always top your sipper bottle. 4. Their restaurant is popular with in house guests and walk-ins (I didn't get to try it though as I had other things on my itinerary) 5. Walking distance away from all major places like the monkey forest, rice plantation trails and the Campuhan Ridge Walk.
