A memorable stay, largely due to the warm and genuine hospitality. A perfect example, of the simple things providing great meaning. The guest reviews on this website are all accurate. There are currently only four villas, with two, I believe, being renovated. For this reason, I would suggest the accommodation is best suited to singles or couples looking for a quiet and peaceful stay. There are no 'bells and whistles', just wholesome, caring and dedicated attention to ensuring guests leave feeling all the better for the experience, which my companion and I, certainly did! We arrived late in the evening and spent a good 20 minutes trying to find the precise location. It is a dark sign, difficult to see in the dark. Look for a burger/hot dog cafe at the end of the alley, almost directly opposite Ratatouille Cafe. There is a visible sign for Frangipani Villas which is up the same alleyway. As others have mentioned, a torch is helpful - and take care as the path can be a little slippery in the wet. Location was perfect for us. Many wonderful Warungs and other cafes on the street itself and walking distance to countless more. If you like good coffee, the Honeymoon Cafe was our daily stop, also serving reasonable wine and good cocktails during Happy Hour - didn't eat here but the food looked good. For the most wonderful food, service, ambiance at incredible prices, Warung Gauri is an absolute must! Take your loved one, take your special friend. We found it by accident on our second last night and booked it straight away for our last night. Very popular. From the accommodation, turn right onto the street and it's a few hundred metres down a laneway on the left. Wayan and his lovely wife who sadly was unwell during some of our stay, were wonderful hosts. Nothing too much trouble and it was great getting to know Wayan a little during our breakfast chats and learning of his road to success - having started selling peanuts at the Monkey Forest as a child.

When the hosts are so warm and caring it is difficult to nit pick. Certainly the pool area needs some attention - loose boards and sunbeds could do with replacing but wasn't an issue for us. The pool itself is inviting and immaculately clean. Unless you have small children, don't let this deter you. A small recommendation to the hosts - to replace used coffee cups when cleaning the room - or leave some detergent for guests to clean their own :)

This place is great! The host is lovely and offers an amazing breakfast each morning. The location is great in central Ubud and the pool is a nice touch to cool off at night! Very clean and AC works wonderfully. Highly recommend a stay here!

The property is very beautiful. The room is big, with comfortable beds. Enough hot water in a spacious bathroom with a bathtub. The area around the pool is beautiful with lots of plants and you can feel yourself like in a jungle. The pool is deep and clean. It’s very quiet but very close to the main street with lots of cafes. Very good and delicious breakfast is included into price. The owner is always a message away, asking if everything is ok and giving good advice where to go and what to do. Will definitely come back to this place again 😃

The wooden floor around the pool needs to be fixed not to hurt feet.

This is a little oasis in the centre of Ubud. Set down a side lane, the homestay has a peaceful garden and pool area, which is a great escape from hectic Ubud. The room we had was large and clean, with a big comfortable bed. The balcony over looking the garden was great for relaxing. The breakfast was good. We had the avocado and scrambled eggs and fresh fruit most days, which was delicious. The owner, Wayan, and his wife made us feel really welcome and also helped us with taxi transfers and tour suggestions.

Wayan and his family are so welcoming, kind and helpful! The location amazing as described - feels like a jungle oasis in the middle of the city. Especially perfect to be able to walk and be close to everything you need just a few minutes walk away. So happy I wasn't right in the middle of Ubud where it's so chaotic. Bed was so comfortable and clean dnd the breakfast was absolutely incredible!! Best of I've had at a homestay. And so great to have a dip in the pool and cuddles with Wayan's gorgeous little pups. The owner is such a kind and helpful person - always ready to assist with anything, including organizing transport and excursions, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling, with fresh juices that we loved. Our room was clean and comfortable, with housekeeping almost every day and fresh towels provided regularly. The hotel has a beautiful green area, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to return. Thank you again for your hospitality! 🙏

The garden, the quiet swimming pool for morning swims, the gourmet healthy breakfasts with fresh juices, and so much more. The couple who owns the hotel makes you feel welcome in Ubud. It is the perfect place to begin your Bali journey.

Because the hotel is situated down a beautiful side lane, it is a bit hard to find the first time you arrive, because when you see the Tanah Semujan sign, you have to find the small side lane to walk 100 meters off of Jalan Bisma. But the proprietor was always immediately responsive to help. That being said, this is the perfect place for solo travelers looking for a very safe family atmosphere that is still festive and fun. Overall fantastic experience.

This property has the best breakfast, we stayed in 3 places while in Bali, but Wayan served the best one. The wifi connection and internet speed was great, the communication with the host was very easy. From the pictures you can see that the rooms are not modern, but they are clean (the bathroom could take a renovation). If you are not for the lux, then totally recommend the place, good and cheap massage places near the apartment, restaurants, warungs, walkable distance the center street and the monkey forest. Btw: the pool looked clean, but we didn't had time to try it.

If the toilet seat could be changed, it would enhance the bathroom.

100% recommend and would stay here again! Spacious comfy room, good air con, delicious generously sized breakfast, super central location (there’s bars and restaurants on the main street and you can walk or get a grab bike to central part of town), yet it’s a quiet location, beautiful calming gardens and Wayan the owner is super lovely, welcoming and helpful.
