Decent place, nice pool and friendly staff.

The sheets were a little smelly due to humidity, considering other resorts though, we expected this one to be better due to higher prices.

The staff were absolutely exceptional in all areas. We had a lovely time chatting to the reception staff, the restaurant staff, drivers and the masseuse and caretakers. We felt well looked after. The reception staff would ask us daily about our plans, ensuring we use the shuttle when we can and providing any tips or information. We felt safe and their knowledge and expertise was phenomenal. Breakfast was absolutely sensational. You choose from a menu so it’s not a buffet. Every single breakfast was delicious and I tried my best to try every item from the menu! We also dined for dinner at the restaurant most evenings for convenience. The food was amazing and there wasn’t a dish we could criticise. The chefs here are great. We also requested room service for laundry and teas. These extra options were appreciated and done satisfactorily. The reception staff helped my husband arrange birthday flowers for me. The female staff also came to the hotel room with a lovely birthday cake singing happy birthday. This was a lovely surprise and I really appreciate the gesture and kindness of the Resort. We ended our stay with a couples massage. Both masseuses were professional and welcoming. I think it was one of the best massages I’ve had. It was my husbands first massage and I think future massages will be hard to compare to this one. It truly felt energising and I wish I booked a second one! The location of the resort isn’t actually too far from the centre. The traffic is what makes it feel far. The resort is close to Ubud Market which the shuttle takes you to for free. The resort is also not too far from an Elephant park and some lovely cafes. The staff also have some great recommendations for cafes and food spots. Overall, we cannot wait to return to Honai Resort. The Resort is beautiful and I’m glad we chose Honai for our 10 day honeymoon. The staff have contributed to such lovely memories and they’ve been extremely hospitable. Keep up the great work!

I do not have any complaints or criticism. I’d suggest the cups for tea in the rooms can be slightly larger.

We stayed in the Tropical Deluxe Room, located on the first floor with a beautiful view of the pool and a spacious balcony. Perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The room was cozy and well-appointed, offering the comfort you’d expect while still staying connected to nature. The entire property is nestled in a lush, jungle-like setting, which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. It created a serene and peaceful ambiance, ideal for a rejuvenating break. One of the highlights was the open space available for morning yoga or meditation The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help, which added to the overall charm of our stay. The only minor downside was the breakfast. While everything served was delicious and well-prepared, the variety is limited and tends to get repetitive if you’re staying for more than a few days. Pro Tips: 1) Book your spa session in advance! We made the mistake of walking in and it was fully booked. 2) There’s a Batik class nearby, just a short walk from the back of the hotel - a unique local experience worth trying. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful, nature inspired retreat with excellent hospitality.

Beautiful resort, well appointed rooms, luxurious bed and bath. I honestly couldn't think of one negative thing to say about this place. Great Asian fusion at the restaurant and western style breakfast which is included in the room rate. The spa was divine and great value too. Hotel did everything from.arrange a scooter rental to drop me at the airport. They also had nice and affordable wines in the minibar which I appreciated since these seem hard to come by in Indonesia. Didn't take advantage of the pool or on-site yoga but saw others do so and seem to enjoy themselves.

The only area for improvement might be to have better coffee in the room (instead of nescafe). That's literally the only thing.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They often had events on in the evening such as live music and a beginners salsa class followed by salsa dancing later on into the evening.The small details were great and well considered. Multi-way adapter plugs already plugged into the walls. A small parting gift that felt very thoughtful. The location is not in ubud centre but there are several shuttles which head in and out during the day which is good. Ubud traffic can be very busy so take that into account if you make dinner reservations elsewhere, like we did one night. They also organise tours from the hotel, which i wish we had realised in advance as we had already booked one on viator that was a quite a bit more expensive. Puma at reception was lovely and also Ika at the restaurant. The rooms were a decent size, with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Loved the gorgeous bath too!

It was my first time in Bali and for my stay in Ubud, I was sceptical about picking a hotel that was a 10 min drive from the centre. But Honai resort exceeded my expectations. The room was immaculate, spacious, clean with both a shower and a huge bathtub for 2, and all toiletries that we needed for our stay. The bed was super comfy. A fridge with snacks and refreshments in affordable price. Breakfast was a la carte and really tasty. The breakfast area was open-space, overviewing the rice fields. An amazing view to start your day with. There were a lot of free events scheduled on the resort, but unfortunately due to our busy schedule, we could not join. The staff was very helpful. But the amazing part was the landscape of the resort. It was as if the bungalows were in a forest.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

I loved everything about the resort. Though it was mid-September in Ubud, I felt a bit chilly at night, likely because the resort is surrounded by lush tropical plants. The atmosphere was fantastic, with great vibes, delicious meals, and exceptional hospitality. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to escape city life. There’s a free shuttle service to Ubud city center, or you can take a GRAB ride for just a few dollars. However, the resort’s services are so wonderful that you might find yourself wanting to spend the whole day here, simply rejuvenating your soul.

Some additional lighting along the walkway or staircase from the yoga shala would be helpful, as it's quite dim at night. Other than that, everything is perfect! perfect for couple stay and college team building.

It’s a nice boutique resort hidden just 3km away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud Center. The room is clean, spacious, and the bathroom is amazing. The resort provides you with candle, bath salt, bubble that actually bubbling, and aromatic oil. Pool area is nice too with decent size of pool and sundeck. No big breakfast spread but they serve enough options of savory and sweet. Couple of things though, use bigger glass for the fresh juice and don’t put sugar in the porridge. Ps. The spa is excellent too, tried the massage and I love it

The property itself is very charming, it’s not too far from the city centre but far enough from the busy and chaotic that’s Ubud. The villa’s are very spacious and have great facilities. The staff are really amazing, and also the restaurant served really amazing dishes.

The only thing i find is cleanliness, i was going to use the bidet but there was some marks left on it. So you can imagine what it was, which is quite disappointing. Also the decorative pillow that was put on our bed, in the exception of the sleeping pillows, we can tell that its not been washed because of the smell.. and the room was a little dusty.

We had an absolutely relaxing time at Honai! The staff were professional, helpful and the little simple yet thoughtful details of the resort and staff service made it all great! From a wide variety of breakfast menu selection to providing wake up calls for our early morning hikes and breakfast takeaway on the final day of our flight, it really felt like home. Resort was nice and peaceful with the bonus of a bath tub for a nice relaxing bath soak. There was also option of yoga and salsa dance classes although it didn’t meet our schedules.
