Our stay at Vije was amazing! The food was great and reasonably priced, our room was absolutely stunning, and most importantly the staff and service were exceptional. Everyone was very helpful and extremely accommodating. I would certainly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again in the future! Also the location is great and only a 10 minute ride away from the centre of Ubud. The hotel offer a free of charge shuttle service or you can use Grab which is very affordable.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff were absolutely amazing, particularly the two staff who greeted us at the desk when we arrived, especially the lady who showed us our room. We would also like to specially mention Gede, our driver for the day who showed us the local attractions. He was excellent and ensured we thoroughly enjoyed our experience - we had an amazing day touring the local attractions specifically because of him.

Our room itself was incredible but the soundproofing was not good. We could hear every noise within the surrounding area very clearly (e.g in the bar/restuarant downstairs or people in neighbouring rooms and the corridoor outside, as well as the outside area below our room) which made it difficult to get to sleep until all the noise had subsided (approximately 2am both nights).

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were extremely kind and always smiling. The rooms were spacious, bright, and very clean. They were always helpful whenever we needed anything from the facility. The pool area had a lovely atmosphere, and we also enjoyed the massage and yoga services. The food was delicious. Breakfast was included in our booking and we could choose two options each morning. We also rented a scooter directly from the hotel, which was cheaper than in the city center.

The only downsides were that the location was a bit far from the cafés and shops in Ubud center, so you definitely need a scooter or car to get around. Also, alcohol service ended quite early in the evening. However, the staff still went out of their way to assist us whenever they could.

The Villa itself was good with nice outside seating, the communal pool was lovely looking out over the valley.

The meal arrangements were strange, there is a beautiful restaurant and bar down by the pool but it is not staffed so you order in the other restaurant next to reception and the road and it gets delivered to your table and staff hover while you eat it. The quality of the food was poor so we ate dinner out, the breakfast offering was very limited. The private pool in the villa was cloudy and uninviting so we didn’t use it. Some staff were excellent but there were many trainees who could do nothing without finding a colleague. The spa and gym are accessible only via a staircase through the undergrowth that is a river in the wet.

Upon arrival there was an event in the garden. No problem, and also Some fun. They told us the kitchen would still be open. But when we wanted to order it turned out that the kitchen was closed so they told us to order food ourselves. With our three-year-old daughter, this was not ideal. They promise us a free drink. We didn’t get. The next day we made another attempt to have breakfast and diner. The quality is below standard and the things we like to order weren’t available. Our room is noisy, is behind the reception. And wellness was under renovation.

The hotel has beautiful premises, a gorgeous swimming pool facing a tropical rainforest, a very good spa with a range of massages, and the room was very well appointed. The staff was always very helpful, and it was a pleasure to stay there. I recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud.

The restaurant has a limited range of options, particularly vegetarian or vegan. With that beautiful setting, it would have been good to have a more varied menu. The restaurant staff compensated for this, however, by being very helpful.

The staff was extremly friendly and helpful. The music on the property made you feel in a full day spa. Very nice atmosphere. Mostly very quiet. Had the pool all to ourselves on multiple mornings. Very clean everything. The small gym was good equiped.

The food for dinner was okay. Also the bathroom doesn't have a window, only shutters; it creates a unique jungle vibe tho; just be aware bugs could come in (we were hiding food and drinks in the fridge; wasn't too bad with the ants then). Some areas (like the pool stairs) would need some renovation.

Beautiful hotel, the room was incredibly spacious with a huge comfortable bed and an amazing bathroom. Loved the rain shower and bath. Everything we needed was provided. Pristine. Every single staff member was welcoming, friendly, kind, and helpful. We were assisted in any questions we had, they organised a hike up mount Batur for us. We had our laundry done- easy and efficient process. Massages were excellent. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared. We felt lucky to experience the dinner with cultural dance on the Friday. Stayed at Vije for 3 nights and we wished we stayed longer! Great location and really easy to find. The food was great, and you can go at anytime to order and eat. There is a communal pool and bar, spa and fitness facilities. The staff were super friendly and always greeted us and wished us a great day. We were also able to get our washing done at the resort and free bottles of water at your request. Our villa was private, spacious and we really enjoyed the big bed!

We wished the tv had a movie app like Netflix as sometimes we just wanted to chill in our villa and watch a movie before bed and lastly our private pool had a water fountain that you couldn’t turn off. It was around 10pm on our first night when I went and asked the staff about it and they said it was on a timer and if it doesn’t turn off, they will get the maintenance man to fix it in the morning. Unfortunately it never turned off and was very loud, so my partner and I ended up putting a towel over it to muffle the noise for our stay and we let the staff know about it again before we checked out.

The place is gorgeous. The room we picked was so interesting and picturesque that I made pictures every day while we were staying there. We chose the room with the pool and river view. The hotel staff is nice and helpful. The hotel territory is full of plants - it’s like you live inside the jungles. Very beautiful. Personnel can come during the day and ask if you are happy and comfortable and even prepare your beds before sleep so in case you don’t want to be bothered and not waiting for the guests, put the “do not disturb” sign. The bathroom is quite big, included shower and the bathtub with amazing view. Clean! Which is always a number one priority for me. I was satisfied with the level of cleanliness. The rooms were being cleaned every day, towels changed on daily basis (it’s an important comment since I had an experience in another hotels when the towels were not changed but simply folded and put back to the places they were before). Please note that since you are close to the nature and have doors leading to the outside (the pool part) you might be visited by some insects :) which was okay for us since we understand that if nature is nearby, interaction with its habitats is inevitable :) do not be scared away if you see comments like “insect were everywhere!” - that’s okay for such places :) but pay attention when packing your bags to leave - they can come inside of your luggage. Just pay attention and be careful, they are harmless but still can spoil you homecoming and unpacking. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Since we had our own pool, we didn’t even have chance to visit the common pool which was also beautiful. I personally liked the breakfast and the portions (we had breakfast included) but be prepared that it takes 15-20 min at least for them to be cooked. We had a dinner at the restaurant (and ordered the food to the room) - I was not impressed by the portions vs prices and the menu.
