The room was really nice and spacious, the staff were all so so friendly! Very useful having a shuttle bus into Ubud as was too far out to walk- would have been nice if it was more regular and ran later (once an hour up to 9pm) but taxis were cheap enough if we missed one!

The door to our balcony didn’t close properly meaning that our room was very loud and we had a lot of bugs coming in. We were close to the restaurant and got woken up early every day. On the first evening there was some sort of loud music playing which went on until 12am. We only found out on the last day that as guests we could use the jacuzzi in the spa- would have been useful to be told when we arrived so we could actually use it. The first two mornings we had a buffet breakfast which wasn’t very nice compared to an a la carte menu on the third morning which was so much nicer. We understand that a buffet breakfast was used on the first couple of days because there was a large group also staying but would have been great if this didn’t negatively impact our stay.

I really enjoyed my stay! The pool was a highlight—perfect for relaxing after a day out. The jungle view from my upstairs room was absolutely stunning, especially in the morning. It gave a real sense of being immersed in nature. The breakfast was decent, not anything spectacular, but it did the job. Overall, a peaceful and pleasant experience.

The breakfast was à la carte, and while it was okay, the buffet section was minimal. I would have appreciated a more generous or thoughtfully curated breakfast overall. Still, it was a lovely and relaxing place to stay, ideal if you are looking to unwind and enjoy the tranquil setting.

My boyfriend and I booked The Udaya for our birthday trip—every interaction from booking to check out was lovely. Upon booking, I was contacted via booking.com and whatsapp to confirm arrival times. The resort is 10 minutes drive from Ubud Palace/Ubud Centre, which is easily reached by their free shuttle that departs at the top of the hour. The shuttle arrives promptly at Ubud Centre at 10 minutes after the hour, and guests can catch the shuttle back to the resort on its way back up the hill. The Udaya is stunning, beautifully landscaped and cared for by its kind staff. The main pool area is beautiful and quiet—there are plenty of loungers, as well as round cabana lounges and a fire pit on the way up to the restaurant. The grounds are covered in greenery and exotic flowers, as well as having a beautiful koi pond. There are wild animals all around Bali, so naturally there are noises throughout the day :) We booked the One Bedroom Pool Villa for 10 nights. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with tons of space for unpacking, lounging, and relaxing. The bathroom features both a shower and a large stone tub, along with his and her sinks. The resort crew took care of any amenity or question we had with kindness and thoughtfulness. We appreciated the small touches, such as nightly turndown service and complimentary mineral water. The beds are comfortable—firm but plush, and the mosquito net is a welcome addition. We ordered room service and ate at the restaurant quite often during the trip (especially late night), and especially loved the hotel's breakfast. Udaya served as a home base for us to take day trips and also explore Ubud. Udaya's location is the perfect escape from the busy city centre. We took advantage of everything The Udaya had to offer, including the Kaveri Spa, the in-room Citrus bath (a must! the pandan was so fragrant), the New Moon Dinner, and even our engagement :) We can't wait to come back and visit.

Beautiful resort, friendly staff.

Not a super comfortable room with odd setup in Royal duplex. No couch to sit on except for some weird wooden chairs that no one will ever sit in. If you wanna just relax and be comfortable and watch something on TV you couldn’t even do that. I understand you’re in Bali to be adventurous, but sometimes you just need to be comfortable and relax too. Understanding they probably don’t have a couch because there is a pool, but you can buy a couch that is water resistant. It’s just a weird set up for the room and they should be more thoughtful on how to make it more comfortable. Yoga instructor needs training.

We have a wonderful stay at The Udaya Resorts and Spa, for our honeymoon in Bali Ubud. All the team was so nice, welcoming, helpful, responsiveness (especially by Whatsapp) to our requests, from the beginning to the end. Plus, the hotel is a in a quiet place, which is perfect for a restful stay, with a lot of vegetation like in the middle of paradisiac land, with high quality equipments and services (spa, massage, gym, yoga, swimming pool, restaurant with services at table), and only at 8 min in free shuttle from the crowdy city center. We have enjoyed special couple treatment in the hotel, such as the Couple Massage Rejuvenating and Flower Celebration, Candlerlight Dinner in the Sky Yoga Hut, and private driver service, with interesting discount. It was very appreciated and made our honeymoon memorable. We really recommand the hotel, and are really grateful to all the team for the dream journey we had there.

Very big, spacious rooms, nicely decorated, very beautiful with the stonework behind the bathtub. We really enjoyed that the room is across the koi ponds, so they're swimming right at your door, and they leave fish food in the room in case you'd like to feed them too! The breakfast is definitely a highlight - it is à la carte supplemented with some buffet items, and you're free to order multiple dishes. Everything was delicious, including a nice coffee (cappuccino, espresso, and not just the Balinese coffee). Non-dairy milk was also an option. The staff were friendly and promptly accommodating; for example, I didn't like the very tall pillows in the bed, and they were able to provide less tall ones, which I slept perfectly with. There's an hourly shuttle to Ubud center, which is very convenient. We could spontaneously just text the reception on WhatsApp when we wanted to return and they'd arrange for us to catch the next shuttle. The complimentary morning yoga on the beautiful rooftop space was a perfect way to start the day. We loved every aspect of our stay and would highly recommend this place.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try any of the spa treatments as they were fully booked for the next few days. It would've been helpful if they'd let us know in advance to book ahead of time.

We used the spa services, morning yoga, private/romantic dinner, happy hour and they were all wonderful! The spa and flower bath were amazing and very relaxing for a rainy day. Our suite was in the main building and close by to the restaurant and yoga room, without having to take off our slippers while walking there. We loved the breakfast, which you could order as many entrees as you want, and they even brought more food to our room when we were in a rush to go on a tour. The staff was very attentive and personable. We felt like we were treated like royalty and enjoyed our stay. It rained the whole time, but we could still sit on our covered balcony anyways and enjoy the peace.

Udaya made such a wonderful effort in acknowledging our honeymoon. Celebratory cake, design on the mirror...all was appreciated! Excellent welcome drink - so tasty I asked for the recipe which Sunartha kindly gave me. Fantastic breakfast EXCELLENT staff – every single one of them. : ) Love the water features in the hotel, perfect for a sense of tranquility and peace Most comfortable bed and pillows My husband organised a candlelit dinner. it waa utterly beautiful! Took a yoga class in a rooftop room; my first class after three years following a diagnosis. Thank you Ben, for leading such a wholesome class. i took a Balinese cooking class with Sunartha and had the most fun time! He really is a kind soul, and we had lots of fun cooking with music together. Thank you so much Sunartha. I might not remember how to cook every dish LOL but that was such a memorable experience.

Only thing is it's not accessible for those with mobility issues. But while I say this, as someone who can struggle with stairs I see the positive of me exercising each day, and feeling stronger while doing so. 😊

I had booked Udaya for a weeks relaxation before heading home. It didn’t disappoint. The room was spacious we had a pool view and garden suite. They have rooms with private pools but the main pool is beautiful and not too busy. Also did yoga most days the I am a beginner and the instructors were great. The hotel is outside of the main town but they have a shuttle bus and also picked us up and dropped us off to a nearby restaurant when it was raining. There are a few good places to eat within easy walking distance. The staff were great making sure we had a good time and the Spa was lovely . Breakfast is amazing it’s basically a menu with everything you can think of and you order what you want. Highly recommend this resort.
