We had a 1 bed villa with a pool, the views over the jungle are spectacular, our room was very private and peaceful and the facilities at the resort are wonderful. The breakfast was really good and the location is fabulous for getting into Ubud centre. We had a great sleep here.

We were charged for an item in the minibar we didn’t have, we explained that it was never in the minibar but the staff couldn’t understand us and made us pay. The All Day menu food wasn’t the best. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest either.

1) Many of the guests took over the pool chairs for hours even when they went to lunch for 1-2 hours… I was told by the pool staff that it was full but i insisted on getting in the pool anyway and had to wait for chairs that were “claimed” as belonging to those who left belongings and returned later. There should be a “no parking” rule as there are more guests than lounge chairs. Guests said things like “you snooze, you lose!” Maybe have a two hour limit and staff to monitor?

This is a beautiful resort. Very tranquil and relaxing and so large that it doesn't feel crowded. The staff was so friendly and the spa services we received were performed in a room right above the river - breathtaking! So many things were included in our stay at no extra charge - various daily activities like afternoon tea and morning yoga, an extensive breakfast buffet, and the Balinese dance performances that accompanied dinner at their restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a pool designated only for adults so that we could enjoy the serenity of its location right by the river. We definitely picked the right place to stay in Bali!

The only thing thing I could really complain about would be the food. At a 5-star place I expect fantastic meals and the food was just 'okay'. Luckily, there are great restaurants in town. Other than that, one should be aware that the resort is not really walkable to town. It is a short 20-25 minute walk, but there are no sidewalks on the road to town and I would go as far as to say it would be a bit dangerous to walk down given the way the cars drive down it. But that being said, the resort does offer hourly vans into town and it's Maya's seclusion that makes it so beautiful and serene. We didn't take advantage of the resort's van service as we preferred to come and go on our own time schedule and go to specific areas of town - a taxi into town was quick and cheap.

It was all very nice and good. The whole complex was very well maintained and the stuff is super friendly. The price is totally worth it.

The only think that I would like to know in advance - there was a list with activities, some of the marked as free. So we took a photo session, that was marked free. Once showing at the lobby for the session - we've been told that for the free option we are only getting 1 printed picture. If we would like to have the whole photo session - the prices are much higher than expected, of course - you have the option to take only the 1 photo and pay nothing, which is still great! I guess it would be better to be more transparent about it at the list. We would still book the session and enjoy paying for the photos, but this way it just felt that we are being lied.

Words can’t express how we feel about this heaven spot on Earth. A hidden gem in the rainforest.. First of all I would like to express how exceptional this resort is. We started our honeymoon at Maya and it exceeded our highest expectations! We got an incredible room with a private pool with an overview of the rainforest - thank you for that! The stuff was just amazing, words can’t simply express how incredible everyone was. From the very first moment of our arrival to the very last second - top notch! The welcome drink - my absolute favourite! Your kindness, generosity, hospitality is simply outstanding! Special thanks to Gus who looked after us for the whole of our stay. He made sure that our experiences at and outside of the resort were smooth and truly special. It has been a truly magical trip; a trip of a lifetime and we will definitely come back ! It will become a part of our journey forever locked in our hearts and souls. Special thanks to Bogus who served us during our romantic dinner and a lovely and incredible manger of the Tree Cafe Restaurant ( I do apologise for forgetting your name). But we are truly grateful for all the time, attention, care and love we received. It felt like a second come to us. A place is made not by just a beautiful views, but PEOPLE. And Maya Hotel is definitely such a place… I wanted to also emphasise how fantastic this venue is for a romantic gateway. A place where you can disconnect from the business of everyday life and truly reconnect with your Self. There were some families with kids, but we had the intimacy and quiet zone for the whole of the stay. For kids there are special activities. Yoga class is fabulous and truly at its essence. The spa is one of the best I’ve ever been to. We had two treatments and it’s worth every penny. Oh and absolutely glorious food ! Romantic dinner and floating breakfast - a dream come true ! I truly recommend this paradise!

The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and the hotel blends perfectly into its natural surroundings. The staff are overall very pleasant and attentive. Dinner was correct, but the price felt very high compared to what was offered. During our stay at another hotel in Ubud, the food quality was exceptional at a much more reasonable price. Breakfast, while decent, could also be improved when compared to other 5-star hotels we have visited. A special thanks to Mr. Parnata and Juni for their kindness and genuine care – their attentiveness truly made a difference. We have already fallen in love with this artistic gem in the middle of nature, and we’ll definitely come back very soon ❤️

What an awesome resort spread over 18 acres. Grounds were meticulously maintained, staff were faultless, rooms were clean, comfortable and had fabulous views of the rice paddies. Not one thing we could suggest that requires improvement. Even the Chef met our vegetarian/veagn requirements without any issue or hassle. Highly recommend this fabulous place.

If anyting, it was a little further out of town than we would ordinarily book but the atmosphere and facilities more than made up for it. Getting a Grab into town cost $7AUD or there was the free shuttle.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Magical Experience! Maya Ubud Resort and Spa completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect — the food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and full of rich Balinese flavors. Every meal felt like a special occasion. The vibes of the resort are just incredible — peaceful, serene, and deeply connected to nature. The sound of the river, the lush greenery, and the elegant design of the resort created such a calming and luxurious atmosphere. The service was beyond excellent. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. You can feel that they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and pampered at every step. And the views? Breathtaking. Whether it’s the jungle canopy, the river valley, or the perfectly maintained gardens, there’s beauty in every direction. It’s truly a hidden paradise in Ubud. Highly, highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back!

A luxury hotel close to Ubud town Centre but the hotel is in the jungle. The service the quality of the food, ambience perfect. This is the second time we’ve been here and we will definitely return next time we are in Bali. The hotel restaurant offers great quality food at reasonable prices with nightly entertainment and a cocktail happy hour with live music. There is a free shuttle service into town which is only a five minute ride away but a taxi is only approximately £2/3 sterling. The Butler service is a new addition to the hotel when you stay in a villa, they will unpack pack and arrange any tours or restaurant bookings and cater for all your needs. One side you’re in the jungle in the ravine with a river running at the bottom the other side of the hotel has a rice Terrace what more could you want?

There is nothing to dislike about this property. It is our second visit so this is a testament to the Hotel and the quality it offers.
