Fantastic atmosphere with cascading water into the Koi pond with tropical birds singing constantly. Furniture made from exotic woods. Beautiful landscaping. Decent food -- but really weak coffee --. Super attentive staff always available and in view. Get an expresso machine or teach the cook.

The site was far from the main road. There was absolutely nothing nearby. Walking was out of the question. To go shopping or to dinner was a project. I would suggest a courtesy van with scheduled times to Ubud and return. Your food was not that exiting.

The breakfast selection was great. We ate a few times at the villa because we didn't want to fight the traffic getting back into the centre of Ubud again that day. It is about a 20-minute walk into the centre of Ubud, it is a narrow road to walk, however, many people were doing it and the traffic was respectful of walkers. The villa was a little oasis after an exploration in town. It is still quite a built-up area despite not being in the centre of town. The room was comfortable and very clean. The grounds are well kept. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The pool was very refreshing.

Quite a walk in the humidity. We found it was easier to jump on a Grab Scooter to return to the villa.

The location is no better or worse than most places in Ubud you’re not going to be walking much anyway. The traffic is busy, and the city lacks a proper center or walking paths. The hotel staff is very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant offers good prices, but the food is average — not something I’d want to eat every night. Breakfast is fine, but instead of offering four set menus, it would be better to simplify things and offer one choice per category (e.g. eggs, toast, fruit, drink). Overall, it’s a good price and I would recommend it.

My main complaint is the air conditioning. Even though it was working, it had an old, sour smell. With three days of pouring rain, the room got so humid that all our clothes ended up damp.

Everything! The property was stunning, it had everything you could possibly need while there! The staff bent over backwards to help you but weren’t pushy and gave you plenty of space to yourself as well! They were so friendly and the facilities were fantastic! Will definitely be going back!

Nothing at all! It’s about a 5/10 minute walk from the main shops in Ubud so if you don’t want to walk I would say that’s the only downside but it’s got the most stunning view of the Forrest and hills as it’s that little bit out of the central, but the walk was very manageable and lots of convenience stores and amazing cafes right outside regardless!

I originally booked this place for four nights, but kept extending my stay and eventually stayed for three weeks :) The property is well-maintained, quiet, with spacious, comfortable rooms, a clean pool, and the hotel has its own restaurant with a wide selection. It's also close to the center of Ubud. Ideal for families, couples, or even solo travelers. The access road, which some previous comments mentioned as being in poor condition, is actually new and well-maintained.

only a small complex of 8 villas all with charm and cleanliness, great pool and gardens maintained. Breakfast was a great selection and worth the 100IRP. Walking distance we managed into Ubud central daily, using our phone torch to navigate at night. 8-10mins was all that was required. Quicker to walk than catch Grab or taxi due to heavy traffic. Would stay again. Lovely staff and nice to stay on the outskirts of town.

Easy to walk into town, restaurants, monkey forest. Well priced accommodation, meals and drinks. Rooms as per images on website.

We loved the greeting from staff; they came straight away to carry our luggage up the stairs. Our room was spacious and clean/tidy on arrival. We had free breakfast included in our booking; there were 4 set menus to choose from. My daughter is vegan and I'd like to thank the staff for adapting the menu to cater for her dietary requirements (they even went the extra mile to buy in soya milk - brilliant). They offer motorbike hire for an additional and reasonable cost (you will need your driver licence) which is handy. My daughter also loved the garden hut where she could quietly practice her yoga each morning. Free beach towels are available on request to use by the pool. Thank you, we had a super stay and highly recommend.

The ambiance and decor of the hotel were also noteworthy, creating a serene and aesthetically pleasing environment that added to the overall charm of our stay.

The stay at Bubu Suite was amazing! The staff was extremely kind, they helped us to organise a scooter for the day, taxis, massages and tours and were always there when we needed something. The hotel itself is wonderful, not too big but with very spacious, well maintained rooms, a beautiful pool and a calming atmosphere. The breakfast selection was great as well. Overall one of the best hotels we stayed at during our time in Bali!

Out of the main hustle and bustle of Ubud. Perfect place to go to escape. Facility is really quiet. Not many people there. Staff are super friendly. Beautiful surroundings. I could stay by the pool for the rest of my life. Property is away from the main tourist part which is great. Laid back Balinese style. My son loved the pool and the koi fish.

If I had to find a fault it would be the slight smell of damp / mould in the room but that's to be expected considering the humidity in the lush jungle surrounds. It's honestly worth it though. Otherwise perfect.
