Beautiful hotel located on a quiet little residential street just minutes from The Yoga Barn. Each room is spacious with a little balcony overlooking a gorgeous pool. The place always smells like incense! Cold AC plus hot showers is a major bonus. Also decent WiFi. The staff is always super friendly. Scooter parking is secure and right out front. Housekeeping goes above and beyond each day with fresh sheets and towels. Amazing value for everything you get.

Limited storage for clothing but not a big deal.

This was one of my favourite accommodations in Bali! Kadek and Putu are wonderful to talk to and are around should you need anything. Pool was clean and offered quiet swims. Rooms cleaned every day and there is a water refill. There is a shared fridge with proper cold temperature.

Found a cockroach and some ants my first night but this was looked after straight away. Didn't have many problems with insects after as they cleaned rooms every day. The kitchen could use some care and isn't entirely equipped for cooking meals, but enough for preparing beverages/snacks!

As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly safe and welcomed here. The owner, son, and staff are exceptionally kind, offering amazing hospitality. The room was very clean, modern, no mold, spotless, smelled great, and had a hotel-quality bed with perfectly working air conditioning. The peaceful location—free from cafe, honking, or construction noise—made it a perfect retreat. Plus, it’s conveniently close to Pasar Seni Ubud. Highly recommend! The owner even lending me a kebaya so I could attend a temple ceremony—a truly thoughtful gesture, I would like to thank you again for that : ) I will return here someday, very recommended.

1. Swimming pool is quite small and seating by the pool might disturb nearby guests, but it wasn’t an issue for me. 2. The fridge is shared and located on the ground floor, not in individual rooms, which a bit inconvenient. But again, it wasn't a big issue after all.

- lovely room which was a good size and clean, and cleaned daily, toiletries provided and space for hanging clothes, towels etc. - balcony with chairs nice little seating area. nice pool to cool off in and 2 sunbeds to choose from - communal relaxing area with book swap - Kadek & her family were very kind to us and helped us to rent motorbikes and organise taxi to the port. Can also help to arrange boats to other islands. - free water refills and communal fridge - walkable in 10 minutes to yoga barn - quiet location and quiet at night away from the buzzing centre

- Location is a little out of Ubud centre, 5-10 minutes on a bike or 20ish minutes in traffic to the other side of the town, but we knew this when booking and is nice and quiet as a result! - WiFi signal a little weak in some parts of the room (not a problem for us - it’s bali after all!)

I had such a wonderful stay at the Saka house. I was there over two weeks. The yard and pool are gorgeous with beautiful plants everywhere. There is water to fill your water bottles, the room was clean and bed was comfy. The owner Dek is fabulous she’s fun and inviting, warm and friendly. She drove me to the yoga barn a few times which was so kind of her. This stay is on a quiet street but close to many things by moto bike. There is laundry service down the road.

I had a great time at Saka house. Initially I had booked for 5 nights but I ended up staying 2 weeks so that says it all :) It’s a lovely property with just 6 rooms, a pool and a common area to cook and chill. The staff is amazing and the owner Kadek is a beautiful lady full of energy that’ll make your stay all the more special. She exudes so much positivity that it’s bound to rub on you. It became my little oasis and I enjoyed this part of Ubud more than the centre. On the practical side - the beds are comfortable, shower has good pressure, cleaning daily, just 10mins walk to main Ubud… good vibes all round!

I loved my stay at Saka House. The place is beautiful and radiates a peaceful energy. The family takes great care of the property with so much love, making it feel like a home away from home. They are incredibly friendly and hospitable. Plus, the internet connection is excellent, which to me is a big bonus. The center is just a short seven minute bike ride away, and the rooms are very affordable. So yes, I highly recommend!

Quiet place. Clean and spacious room. Liked the vanity being separate from toilet. I stayed for 10 nights for a yoga course at yoga barn. This was very handy/close. It was a bit dark/creepy to walk home late at night as the streets in this direction aren't busy... but a very quick and cheap gojek ride home. Loved being able to use the kitchen to boil an egg/store snacks in fridge etc. Helpful and kind staff. Thanks again

It was in a super beautiful street, Full of statues and arts, so I felt like I am in a museum. Saka House is very calm and quiet with beautiful garden and pool and surrounding, I slept very well there. Really neat and clean with very friendly owner and staff. They helped me with programs, tours and transportation also. Strongly recommended and I will go Back there for sure :)

The staff were so lovely and accommodating. I was able to leave my pack for 2 days while I travelled elsewhere. The room was large , clean and fresh with a big shower . I had a nice area to sit out and look at the pool which is very clean and fresh to swim . Breakfast was available or you can use the kitchen and a fridge to store your food if needed . It is a little way from the Ubud centre but you can easily catch a Grab / taxi . I found it very safe and easy to walk as a solo , female traveller.
