Absolutely wonderful staff!! Delightfully helpful—I asked them for directions to Yoga Barn expecting a map, and instead they escorted me all the way on foot early in the morning. FYI, the shortcut takes just under 10 mins with a brisk walk, passing behind a Pura (Balinese temple) and then around a football field (possible to cut across the field, but usually the sun is blazing). . The staff were all young and enthusiastic, and responded to all my requests or queries readily via WhatsApp, which you absolutely must have in Ubud anyway. I forgot to bring a wall socket adapter and they cheerfully loaned me one. . Every night they reminded me to place my order for the next morning's breakfast. Speaking of which, breakfast was simple but filling—just enough to last me for a morning of yoga without causing discomfort doing inversions. . Overall, the property itself is small (9 rooms total) but beautiful, with friendly and accommodating staff. Veg options (Omiiku/Hongalia) and a rather big supermarket (Popular/Pepito) about 5 mins away on foot.

Suggestion to have signage at eye level for pedestrians like me. The sign for Byasa is high up on a pole—I guess more for the benefit of drivers. . Just remember that Byasa is a small establishment and set your expectations accordingly. Any shortcomings are more than made up for by the gems that are the staff—anything amiss and they are quick to address them.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. 1. This place is very clean. This was the reason why we have chosen this place and it really didn‘t disappoint. The rooms were very clean and they even cleaned them two times a day. At the pool the used towels were exchanged regularly and in general you got new bed sheets EVERY DAY! I should remind you that Ubud is different than the other places in Bali and thus you are surrounded by rice fields and enjoy the tropical atmosphere surrounded by rice fields. The view was amazing and accordingly it was amazing to experience this cleanliness in such a place. The two guys really made sure that every little inch was clean. 2. The Breakfast was rich in choice and makes you full. We were 4 people and we are used to eat a lot in the morning, thus the options were very wide and we had fresh vegetables and fruit options as well as bread options. At the end of my stay I switched to the rice option which was also very good! 3. The pool is very clean and big enough to swim in. In reality the pool was bigger than on the pictures which was a beautiful positive surprise. 4. The staff is so nice. First they help you to plan trips or even safe drives to every place you need. (I can confirm that there drives are safe as I faced an issue with a driver I organized on my way to the speedboats which tried to scam me but the drive from the airport to this hotel organised by Byasa went so smooth) Thus, if you have no clue what to do just ask the staff for food options at nearby restaurants or even trip options to widely known places. This help is something that I appreciated a lot. I‘ve been to many places in my 25 years on this earth (Japan, Maxiko, Thailand, USA, and almost all of europe) and I can surely say that this hotel was the cleanest and the best value I got for my money. Looking forward to come back to this hotel with my whole family the next time. Thank you Byasa for this nice stay in Ubud! All the best !

Everything! 1. Amazing location that takes only 20 minutes to the monkey forest and lots of amazing restaurants nearby 2. Staff is extremely friendly and enthusiastic. They pay really close attention to my well being same as my schedule to ensure I have the best stay! 3. The hotel arranges very cheap motorbike rental and extremely good massage. The massage’s price is a bit higher than other places but the technique of the masseur is top notch! The best massage I got in Bali. 4. They also help me with several other requests such as bank transfer and food pick up. 5. Waking up in Byasa is refreshing. They only have 9 rooms and all the rooms facing the rice field.

Sound insulation can be better. The room above us makes a lot of noises when the checked in.

I was here for a total of 21 days. I originally planned for 9 and extended my stay 3 times. I felt so well cared for and at home. I’ve traveled to Bali multiple times and this was my favorite accommodation so far. The staff went above and beyond my expectations. They were so attentive and helpful. I’m so grateful I found Byasa. I will definitely be back.

I absolutely LOVED my time at Byasa! The breakfast was delicious every day, always served with a smile, and it was so lovely to sit outside in the beautiful gardens to eat it. The pool was impeccably clean. I swam almost every day and had the entire pool to myself. It was such a treat. I also enjoyed lounging by the pool, watching the beautiful butterflies and birds in the trees & rice fields. Such wonderful views and it was very peaceful. Even though the street just outside the hotel is quite busy, you would never know. Byasa is like a little slice of calm paradise, away from the hustle and bustle. For me, the location was brilliant - close walking distance to numerous restaurants and cafés. It is about a 20-30min walk into the centre of Ubud, but I love to walk, so it was no problem for me. (Of course, if you hop on a scooter/bike, you're never far from anything.) One of the lovely staff members, Dewik, kindly walked with me to The Yoga Barn to show me the short cut. It's only about a 5-10min walk which was great. My room was huge with an incredibly large, comfortable bed. It was great to have a private balcony and I enjoyed watching the rain and lightening on a few occasions. The zircon was most effective, but I personally preferred having the sliding doors wide open, listening to the sounds of nature. I have to give special thanks to the staff! (Putu, Eka, Dewik, Gidday, Wayan, of course the ladies in the kitchen, Natalia & Nani, who so lovingly made the food... I'm sorry I don't have all the names, because they were all so welcoming and friendly.) They made me feel so welcome and relaxed right from the moment I arrived. As a solo traveller, I can highly recommend staying at Byasa. You will feel completely safe and well looked after. They really do start to feel like your family and I did not want to leave, even after 10 days!

I was there during the rainy season, so it did rain very heavily at times, which resulted in some water coming in under the door to my room. For me, it was not a big issue (I actually thought it was quite funny) and the staff kindly provided me with extra towels to create a barrier which worked well. For future guests, my suggestion would be to perhaps create some sort of awning at the end of the corridor to prevent floods? This will also help to extend the 'lifespan' of the towels... Some of them smelt a bit 'musty' at times, but I knew they were perfectly clean, so it wasn't a problem for me. I also understand that the humidity makes drying quite a challenge in Ubud. :)

Staff, view, location to central and relatively close to Yoga Barn (5 min bike). Could walk to 8 dining places in 3 minutes including a grocery store. I stayed in 4 different places in Ubud - this was the best for me when combined with value, location and helpful and friendly staff. Even bike rental from the hotel was easy (old beat up bike but was fine!). The owners (couple) are charming and personable and they instill good training for everyone I encountered there. I felt very protected and cared for.

The shower ran off in room 101 - and the staff had to change towels at least 2-3 times a day. Hoping this will be fixed next time.

The breakfast was amazing. The pool was always clean. The room has working a/c and has many amenities/toiletries. When initially looking to book Byasa, I was skeptical due to all the high ratings. I could only think, “This can’t be right. No place is THIS good.” Well, I’m here to tell you it IS as good as everyone else has said. I was in Bali a total of 2 weeks, in many places, and this is the best place I’ve stayed, probably ever! The team is so sweet and helpful! You truly are family to them. When I told them some kiosk scammed me and took my money, they got Pande (owner) involved, and long story short (skipping the juicy details), I got my money back! I’m not sure if Pande believes in past lives as Hindus do, but I believe he was a Mexican woman in his past life! That’s coming a short Mexican woman, myself! IYKYK. Stay here, I promise you won’t regret it. The place is within walking distance to MANY places in Ubud and so many great restaurants around.

The staff was the most friendly and hospitable I have ever met. They remembered our names and would ask us how our day was. They even walked us to the yoga studio one day. One day we had a very early morning tour at 7:30 am and the chef woke up early to serve us breakfast at 7 am, which we greatly appreciated. The staff was super friendly, always greeting us with a smile and treated us like we were VIP. It is also very convenient that they can serve us dinner in our room as sometimes we would return from a long day. We were checked in by Eka who we will surely miss. Very sad to leave.

Very nice tropical garden with rice terrace view. The pool is nice and refreshing after a day of visiting Ubud. They also serve a very good breakfast with pancakes, eggs and fruits. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

There is a hotel and an Arts museum next door that organise regular traditional music and dance events. You will be able to hear the music until around 11-12PM.

This was one of our fav places to stay in bali. Anytime we go to Ubud, we will stay here. We loved it so much, we changed our plans to come back to stay again. (Try book direct for value!) The staff were so accommodating to any of our requests, and very friendly always smiling & greeting us by names. The gardens were so lovely, with beautiful flowers and green rice fields. They had a yoga area as well. The pool was amazing with heaps of seats around. We had breakfast included and we looked forward to it everyday, food here was delicious and fresh. We felt very safe, the rooms were secure. The wifi was awesome, with different ones for each areas. The rooms were clean, and bathroom was very spacious. Definitely recommend to any couples or families wanting to relax by beautiful scenic views and be close to the cafes, restaurants and monkey forrest.
