this was the third time we visited villa sonia in 7 years and we were so happy to see that they managed to keep the laid back vibe alive and the quality high. the staff members are so kind, gentle, happy to help amd welcoming. the garden is lovely, breakfast good, and the location on nyun kuning the best.

I will recommend this hotel until the day I die. The staff were phenomenal. The service was unmatched. I’ve been in the world. The food was stunning. The rooms were immaculate and just giving honeymoon vibes. They really did make us feel so special. It was my birthday when we arrived and the room was covered in petals just so romantic. We actually could not find this enough enough for everything they did. We went to get massages on one of the days and it was the best massage I’ve had of my life and again I would go back for their service. We stayed in one of the villas and we had a pool pretty much to ourselves honestly could not recommend this place in the enough and I cannot wait to have an excuse to come back.

Nice Bali atmosphere. A lot of exotic plants around. Friendly staff. Good location. Nice two swimming pools and surrounding.

Furniture is little old but not a big thing as you are in Bali Breakfast should include more fruits (there was lack of local fruits only watermelon and pineapple). Would expect bananas, papaya, coconut or avocado. During payment, I have no idea why you put conversion rate to euro as staff did not inform me they will not use local Indonesian rupiah but they apply conversion to euro (it caused higher price for the payment).

We are very happy with our stay in Villa Sonia. The staff is incredibly kind, and by sunset they will come to your room and place a device to get rid of bugs, so thanks to that we had none in the sleeping area. Also, the hotel is located in a quiet area, but still close to local restaurants and markets. And finally the restaurant is of very high quality at a good price, plus the included breakfast varies between days and allows you to try different balinese/indonesian quality food.

Monkey Forest south entrance is closed, you can only access it from the north.

Perfect location, set far enough away from the hustle and bustle and noise of central Ubud but still within easy reach. It’s a quiet area with really trendy restaurants and cafes nearby. There were two good sized swimming pools and the small restaurant served a decent breakfast.

I was located on an end room which I think was next to a staff closet of some kind as a cupboard door being opened and closed regularly could be heard, not a major issue.

This is no doubt one of the best hotels for our stay in Bali. I would give this hotel more than 10 stars if I can. We booked 5 rooms for our family of 10 people, including our parents and small kids from my brother's family. Everyone was so happy with everything the hotel has to offer, including the pool, the beautiful hotel ground, the breakfast, and the hotel staff. As avid gardeners, we really appreciate the the beautiful green vegetation within the hotel. We can't be happier with our rooms which are all spacious, have nice views of either the garden or the pool, and have very nice bathrooms. Just outside the hotel, there are many local restaurants and our favorite restaurant, which offers a great selection of food at a very fair price, is just right across the street. The hotel location is great. It's just a 10 min walk to central Ubud through the monkey forest.

We noticed hotel staff took a share of the ticket costs when they helped us arrange a ferry to Nusa Penida.

I had a private outdoor space with a small couch, a table with chairs and a beautiful Bali table. The entire place is done in good taste. I loved the outdoor shower and the bathtub. I had a bednet but did not need it. They took.care of.the mosquitos. Also the pool was a good size and attractive. The staff were very friendly and the wifi was very strong. I would totally return.

The coffee with breakfast was not.very good. But there was always fresh fruit and the buffet style breakfast changed every day.

The property was beautiful, serene, and went above and beyond our expectations for our stay. The pools were wonderful, our room was spacious & the outdoor shower felt luxurious. Upon our arrival, there were flowers & a crib setup for our little one even though we hadn't asked for it specifically — above and beyond!! We were staying in the village for a training at Bumi Sehat and everything was walkable, the proximity to Nyuh Kuning was perfect, and when we return again... we definitely plan to stay again! Perfect spot for families with kids with so much outdoor space (we booked a garden suite) and my son LOVED the kitties so much.

The bathrooms got a bit stuffy, but nothing that opening the door couldn't help! We were vegan and didn't have many options in the included breakfast, but with Mama's just down the road (vegan croissants!) we didn't even ask for them to accommodate.
