This is a lovely peaceful hotel surrounded by rice fields and feels very rural even though so close to Ubud. The grounds and pool are lovely, and the hotel is very quiet. The breakfast is simple and nice - Indonesian or American style. Walking distance are some nice little cafes and restaurants. The staff are really lovely, sweet and kind.

The bathroom was acceptable and clean, the hand held shower a little awkward. It's quite a long way to Ubud, but a pleasant 30 minute walk along a path/motorbike lane way by the monkey forest to central Ubud. Overall very nice and really good value for money.

The location and the staff are just amazing. They really can't do enough for you. The owner is just fabulous and so helpful and welcoming I traveled to Bali on a solo trip in May and was so happy I chose to stay here. It's perfect location and walking distance to the village. The restaurants surrounding are just incredible, so fresh and tasty and again the staff are just beautiful people. It's also just up from main streets which can be busy with traffic so it's an ideal location. It's within walking distance to the monkey forest and all that Ubud has to offer. The room was lovely and clean and had all the essentials including a large bottled water which could be refilled. Thanks again for an amazing stay

Nothing I didn't particularly like, I didn't eat in the hotel as there were so many wonderful options around but I think breakfast could have been a wider variety

I was being harassed by some taxi driver during the drive and didnt feel comfortable with him giving me a ride that would take 2 hours to another location outside Ubud so I went to this resort which I had booking in the next 2 days, not on that day and the owner happened to be at the reception so I told them that I didnt feel safe and wanted to pretend to check in so that taxi driver would leave me alone and they took me in like I’m their family and understand my situation and stay with me till the driver really gone. I asked them if I could rent a motorbike somewhere and they lent their own for me with a very cheap price! I took the motorbike to somewhere outside Ubud and it got some problem with the starter in the middle of nowhere road so I messaged them and they replied right away and planned to come all the way to my current location which was like 2 hours from theirs to help me but I figured out so they didnt have to come. Few days later I checked in, the room and resort location were perfect! (The room was a bit dark but okay). They took some time to help me figure out the transportation to my next destination, which had very few info on the internet but they helped me all the way till send me off at the right bus stop. I couldnt be more grateful for their help and warm welcome like family. The receptionist and owners can speak English well too.

the owners of the hotel were extremely helpful. The went extra mile to accommodate all our wishes. You are very well looked after. The room was beautiful, cleaned ever day, the meals were made of fresh product and freshly cooked. I attended a cooking class and this was an unforgettable experience. The owners arranged a massage session for us and provided home made coconut oil. I strongly recommend this family run wonderful place. I will be back again!!!

The hotel location was ideal if you’d prefer to be just a bit removed from downtown Ubud. The walk into Ubud takes only about 10 to 15 minutes, but it’s a dark path shared by scooters and motorcycles. It’s best to return after dark in a taxi. There are a good handful of outstanding restaurants nearby and the hotel is almost immediately adjacent to the monkey forest. While the breakfast didn’t change day to day, I looked forward to the rich coffee, fruit plate, omelette made to order and fruit pancakes. The service is consistently friendly and warm.

Perhaps one additional breakfast choice would be good, but that’s being picky.

We absolutely loved our stay at Saren Indah. Right from the start all the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of storage. We chose a balcony room which overlooked the jungle and ponds where we spotted monkeys at a few times! The pool area is gorgeous with plenty of towels and comfortable loungers. Breakfast was amazing, the best we had in Bali, great selection. The location was perfect for us as we didn’t really want to stay right in the middle of town. The main part of Ubud is just a short grab ride away. It’s right next to the monkey forest and there are plenty of restaurants just a short walk away. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Saren Indah Hote - is a magical place that was created, for sure, as someone's idea and passion. On the one hand, placed in the very center of tourist attractions, it gives, on the other hand, a sense of peace, balance and safety. We liked above all: the proximity of the very lively center of Ubud and at the same time the peace, the comfort of the rooms and above all the decor that caused our good mood. We liked going out to nice nearby pubs, and we liked returning to the apartment even more. Like home. From the specifics: delicious and abundant breakfasts, good friendly atmosphere, location close to Ubud attractions, quality of service. It's worth it if you are not looking for a loud rest mode.

Watch out for monkeys, they like to visit here, but it is safe and the staff responds quickly. A place with quality and at the same time, quiet. If that's not what you are looking for, this is not your choicey.

We loved everything about this hotel, the setting in rice fields is so unique and beautiful, with monkeys running around every corner from the sanctuary next door. The staff could not do more and were the kindest people. We also did the cooking class they offered which ended up being a truly magical experience, with the whole saren Indah family, taken to the early morning markets before cooking a 7 course delicious authentic meal with fresh ingredients. Everything we needed they provided and the hotel is ideally located for exploring the whole of Bali. The walk to Ubud centre/markets is a bit scary due to the people on motorbikes but is quick and easy.

Nothing. Only complaint would be the walls are quite thin and we had some annoying neighbours but apart from that it’s perfect.

This hotel is exceptional. If in doubt, PLEASE do yourself a favour and book here! We have stayed at 5 hotels now and this one was the best so far. It is a serene place, peaceful and beautiful, but in a great location of Ubud - right next to the Monkey Sanctuary and also close to Ubud art market and the palace. Very nice restaurants close by, and in a clean and beautiful area. And the beds were VERY comfy! Rooms were spacious and well-equipped. Breakfast and service was good. But best of all, the family owning the hotel - the wife & husband and daughter. They were extremely kind and helpful, and very professional. They bought tickets for us, for the Fire dance show nearby, and took us there on scooters and picked us up again. We also did a cooking class with the hotel owners, which was a great and memorable experience. Very well prepared and very delicious food at the end!! I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Ubud.

This is a great choice for a stay in Ubud. It’s a bit out of the center (10 mins walking) so it’s very peaceful at night (except for the bugs and birds from the rice terraces!). The room is spacious and very clean and the bed is so comfy. The breakfast is very filling with great options and all cooked fresh. Lots of staff available and willing to help. Loved having the pool.

Only negative is that we booked a half day tour through the hotel and we had a negative experience with the driver, so wouldn’t recommend this service through the hotel, but not necessarily the hotels fault.
