-amazing location, very quiet though close to the center -beautiful big swimming pool -ducks/frogs/monkeys nearby

-they charge extra for the bread at breakfast (how did you suppose to eat your omelette)? -first they confirmed i can pay by card but finally it was not possible and had to pay by cash -on our first day the shower head broke and they wanted to charge me 400.000 IDR….i felt bad the whole day and of course expressed my disagreement since it didn’t break because of incorrect use…then I received an email asking for leaving positive reviews….very weird everything..i told them how do i supposed to leave a positive review after all this? Finally they didn’t charge me but due to this incident I cannot leave maximum scores I’m sorry

This little hotel is right at the end of the street and has no neighbors so you get unobstrusted views to rice fields and Monkey forest. It is very quite, with almost no noise from the street. The only thing is one time there was a ceremony at the temple inside monkey forest, but those end at 11 pm. And of course there will be frogs and crickets from the paddy. Not any amenities to talk to, but the rooms are nice and spacious, the bathroom was clean, the pool was alright and there is a large table downstairs at the restaurant where you can comfortably do some work. Staff is nice and friendly. And the location is PERFECT. Right next to the amazing resorts on Bisma where you can enjoy great infinity pools and bars, while at the same time not as busy as the other streets, but also 2 minutes walking from them, so you get super easy access to all the nice restaurants in all of central Ubud. didn't even nees to rent a motorbike. **Note that my score is according to the price range of course.

As a mature solo traveler, I found the Carik Bisma Ubud very safe, welcoming & quiet. My room was cool, spacious & clean, with all the mod cons & a huge outdoor patio area, overlooking the huge tropical blue swimming pool, rice fields & the Monkey Forest. The staff are very friendly & helpful, lovely Bali family run business. Walking distance to everything that Ubud has to offer & close to bars, restaurants & shopping. Big thank you to Nyoman Suarga for driving me around everywhere! I will definitely be coming back to stay.

I didn't like having to leave. Will be staying for longer next time.

This place is in a excellent location and has a beautiful monkey forest view from your balcony, many an afternoon I would sit for hours and watch the monkeys play on the fields or jump around in the trees, it’s close enough to everything you need, but quite enough at night that all you can hear is frogs and crickets.

The only downside, but not the hotels fault, is that the road it’s on is a dead end for cars, and it’s long, cobbled and narrow, so if you order a grab taxi, it’s takes a long time to arrive, 20 mins plus..! but it’s quick if you order a grab bike, as they can carry on and go all the way through an ally towards the monkey forest

A great place to stay in central Ubud. There are 4 ground floor rooms and four upstairs. The pool is sparkling clean and overlooks fields towards the monkey forest. It's located down a cul de sac, so is quiet and private, yet is within walking distance of a mini market and all the restaurants in JL Bisma street, and ten minutes walk to the monkey forest. The room was spacious and clean. A mini bar fridge, kettle and tea/coffee was provided. The staff were all super friendly and very welcoming. Monkeys visited the garden once during my stay, so it's recommended to keep any food inside and not to leave the doors open unattended.

I loved everything, especially the sounds of the frogs, crickets and birds, as it is so close to the forest. If you like nature, this is the place for you!

I stayed here initially for 3 nights and then extended the stay 2 times, as I liked the location next to the fields, the monkey forest (which were frequent visitors ❤️) and chilled vibe of the location. The breakfast was delicious, the pool clean and spacious enough for a little swim and relaxing, and the staff was incredibly nice and welcoming. They also took out some geckos a few times, as this just comes naturally when you live next to nature... The room can smell a bit moldly, however it is always clean, the AC works perfectly fine and I guess it just depends on each individual's behaviour to let enough fresh air in in order to make the room comfortable. As said - I extended 2 times and therefore I was more than happy with the stay and the location ❤️

Amazing location, quiet comfy hotel. Monkeys will probably visit at some point. The hotel is old and simple, and you will find lizards on the walls, but the AC works great, rooms have a nice view of the fields and forest. Also, the location is perfect! Short walk to the monkey forest and the main streets of Ubud but located in a little corner away from any load bars, clubs, and traffic.

Rooms are quite basic, but within expectations for the price.

Location is great, with a direct view of the Sacred Monkey forest across some rice paddies from the hotel. reasonably central to everything else, jalan bisma and jalan monkey forest. cosily secluded from both streets at the same time.

overall it's a great place, but starting to look like it could use a lick of paint here or there and the sliding doors to balconies/verandah are really noisy :)

Good location, in a quiet spot but centred. The room has a perfect view on rice fields and the balcony was big, we liked it. Staff is friendly and helping. Breakfast was included (two options to choose: eggs or pancakes). When you enter the hotel you pass the house of the family that lives nearby. There were a lot of roosters and hens crowing loudly, at first we thought that they would disturb us. But in the end we did not hear them.

The bed linen has holes; it would be good to replace it with something a little fresher and more presentable.

The location is unbeatable—just a stone's throw from all the shops, restaurants, and cultural sites. Despite being close to everything, the property itself is peaceful and quiet, with an amazing rice field view. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and I loved the pool area. The staff are also friendly and attentive.

At times, the water pressure would drop or even disappear, but it would come back after a few minutes. The air conditioning could be a bit noisy, too. Overall, these issues didn’t detract much from the experience. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Ubud!
