Great hospitality and perfect location- close to amenities- mini mart, money exchange, shops, restaurants, sites like the monkey forest, and even a nail salon! Amazing views , the room was so clean and spacious. I LOVED the hammock outside ! Staff were amazing- Shoutout to Vania who went out of her way to make our stay memorable.

Nothing ! We had a little issue with the door were the key wasn’t working but the technician was called instantly and was fixed straight away !

Great location, lovely 1 bedroom villa with private pool overlooking rice paddies. The service was fabulous and always keen to please, especially from Dion and Agung and pretty much the whole team. Great massage at the spa. The hotel restaurant and pool area have a fantastic view.

Felt overpriced as it calls itself a “luxury resort” but it’s not really one - no resort facilities of any kind - it felt more like a private villa complex than a luxury resort hotel. The interior of the villa was a lot smaller than anticipated - they seem to have included the entire outside area in their listing on Booking. There was a recurring problem with a foul smell from the shower drain. We also had lots of ants in the room (and we didn’t leave any food lying around in the room either) and even a massive cockroach one night! We understand that the location is adjacent to rice paddies, but am sure more could be done to prevent this.

The location was perfect for those wanting to get out and explore. They run a frequent shuttle too. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The pool area and habitat restaurant were excellent. The accommodation came with its own pool and garden area all well equipped. The inside of my room did not disappoint which a bath big enough for two, high tech room with everything you could wish for. I travel around 7 months of the year and it’s safe to say this one by far one of my favourite rooms so far. I’ll definitely go back. As a female traveling alone I the hotel staff were attentive to collect me from the restaurant and take me back to my room which was much appreciated.

Some construction noise. Would be more of a vibe not on low season.

The infinity pool is breathtakingly beautiful spot. The Japanese restaurant on site was also exceptional. The rooms and showers were clean and pleasant. The pools in the villas were also a really good size.

The breakfast was a little strange. Nice range of pastries and granola bowls etc but all the cooked options just somehow didn't work. The breakfast menu could maybe do with some tweaking. Also, in the pool villas, the pool water splashes up and leaks into the room under the walls as they are not sealed against water entry which could sometimes be problematic.

Loved everything about it. The service, from the time we arrived was impeccable, the food at the Habitat Bistro was always amazing and our massage at the spa was divine. We had a 2-bedroom villa with private pool, and it was so good we didn't want to leave. We booked a 1/2-day tour through the hotel which was fantastic and catered specifically to our needs. The location was great with an easy walk to the entrance of the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and many restaurants and shops. It was also within walking distance to the Art Market and Ubud Palace, although they also offered a complimentary shuttle throughout the day if we needed.

- Facility is great, enjoyed the private pool and massage in the spa. - Breakfast is a la carte, and is satisfying - Service is to a great standard - Dinner at the main restaurant and the Japanese one is OK but there would be better value for money outside

- The hotel is about 15 mins walk to Ubud town centre where actions happen. in Ubud, with the narrow road, motor bikes and cars, it is a mission. The hotel do offer shuttle bus to the city centre during the day, but not in the evening, so bear that in mind

One of the most amazing places we have ever stayed!!! We stayed in one of the private villas with a pool and it was perfect! Amazing big pool and beautiful room with massive bath tub and all the facilities you would ever need. We got engaged on our first night with a candle light dinner in our villa and the staff were so lovely and helpful for setting everything up. The staff members were exceptional in the whole resort, always friendly and so kind! Especially, Vania and Arya who made our stay the best. The main pool and restaurant is great! Lovely breakfast with a big choice of items. You have to try the Japanese restaurant on site as it was fantastic and delicious! The spa is super relaxing. We had a couples massage and it was amazing! They arranged all of our tours for us and were super helpful with anything we needed. Amazing location right in the Center of Ubud with so many shops and restaurants only a short distance away. Highly recommended staying at this beautiful resort and will definitely be back the next time we are in Ubud!

We absolutely loved Kaamala Resort. The property is super chic with all its facilities; modernly & tastefully designed suites, fantastic infinity pool area & Habitat Restaurant, relaxing and comfortable spa… It stands out with super helpful and attentive staff as well. All staff members were super nice and welcoming. The hotel is very professionally run. We had a small noise issue in our suite but forget mentioning it during the daytime. When we called them about it late night, they immediately came and checked but couldn’t fix it without the engineering team at night (noise was coming from AC unit of another room). They immediately moved us to a villa for the night, which was a very professional and nice gesture. I want to specially thank to Anggie who supported us during all of our stay from check-in to check-out. She took care of every single request we had and found solutions to our problems. We bought the Awakening Package with her recommendation, and it was the absolute highlight of our trip. She also accompanied us at every step of this package and took care of every detail. We really appreciated her super positive and welcoming attitude. Our experience with the hotel spa, purification session at the temple, yoga session & healer consultation was superb. Our yoga teacher, Putu was a magnificent teacher and healer. We had a great yoga class, learned more about chakras, felt a lot more healthy after the consultation and got super cool photos at the end. In summary, we loved the friendly and helpful staff, beautiful properties in the middle of rice fields & jungle, great location in the center of Ubud, delicious breakfast, fantastic spa, clean and luxury suites and recommend it to everyone.

We stayed two days in Villa 803 with plunge pool. The villa is very nice, open space with looking over the rice-field when opening the blankets. Unfortunately there is a huge TV. May be it’s me but would prefer no TV and free view. There were coffee and tea maker. Nice bath&shower amenities. The staff is very helpful and assist if you want to organise a trip. Nice place but next time would go to the opposite area just outside of Ubud where it is a bit more quiet and less traffic.

Our villa had some small issues. The light around the pool did not work. Also the lights in the villa are a bit annoying. Or to bright with all on or to dark. Could not switch off the light from the bedside. After the first night the staff did not come to clean. The breakfast of our choice was not available the first day. They good put some big bottles with water instead of just two small ones.

Location and privacy. The two bedroom royal rice villa was dated, the doors didn’t lock properly due to wear and tear, and we didn’t need to go to the monkey forest as they were at the villa everyday!! The breakfast was great, however the menu was pricey! The staff were junior and lacked comprehension of specific requirements. Nice vacation for three nights in Ubud.

Staff understanding of specific requirements; for example transport. When asking main desk about transfers to Ubud they smiled and nodded their heads but no action. When calling to request transfer back to hotel there was no response.
