The resort is beautiful and our villa was large and airy. The pools were clean and well maintained with the main one surrounded by gorgeous greenery. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. The best thing about the place was the staff. They were lovely, so friendly and always smiling. They were always helpful and went above and beyond.

The location was what we expected but if I stayed again, I would stay closer to the town as the traffic is hectic when trying to drive in. I would have liked conditioner in the bathroom and insect repellent. The shuttle timetable is a bit limiting. Maybe some more time slots would have been nice. But these are only little things!!

We really enjoyed the location, the lush green vegetation, the friendliness of the staff, breakfast, everything was amazing

What we didn’t like was that walls are very thin and there was loud noise from our neighbors until midnight

The beautiful jungle surroundings. The pool outside of our room was perfect ,with the bar staff service for drinks. The spa massages were wonderful. We enjoyed 2 lovely breakfasts and delicious suppers with you as well. We enjoyed the tour around the area in the morning. The fruit in the room was so tasty. All and all a fantastic stay, your staff was supper kind and friendly, we would love to return some day.

We didn't care for the 2 people that were using our lounge chairs in front of our room on our second day. As we were at the monkey sanctuary tour and came back to have them in our front lounge chairs. So frustrating. When we came out of our room to find them in our chairs this was a disappointment, as they could also peer into our room, so we had to keep our curtain closed and it took away from our views and privacy.

This property is a hidden gem and is going to become very popular in the coming future. It’s a 10 minute scooter ride outside of the hustle and bustle of the city center. It’s nestled in amongst rice fields and some beautiful jungle. The rooftop bar has an amazing view of the sunsets.

What really makes this resort is the staff. I have never had a more attentive and endearing group of people looking out for my best interest while staying somewhere . I was a little bit ill, and they repeatedly reached out to see if I needed anything and brought me ginger tea and other home remedies to help with my stomach issues. They truly went above and beyond.

The out of the way location makes it quiet and peaceful. Lots of staff all falling over themselves to be helpful. Very clean. Breakfast very generous and tasty. There is a new bar on the roof with fantastic views and awesome decor. Food options plenty and good in the bar.

With the addition of the new bar I’m a bit confused about how the hotel wants to position itself. On the one hand it is serene and quiet and now there is a big fancy bar with dj’s playing. It is early days for the bar (week one!) with all the staff just getting to know how to run things but we found the happy hour baffling with the discount system. More chairs needed around the pool area.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The experience I’ve had here from start to finish has been wonderful, and worth every penny. I rarely write reviews but this place needed shouting about, as someone who’s stayed in a fair few hotels in my time. I needed some R&R after becoming very ill and struggling to do so in central ubud, this hotel is only just outside the main shopping/eating areas by car/bike and there are three shuttles back and forth daily. I never left the hotel in four days. The bed is incredibly comfy, the sunbeds are too, the pool is divine and the whole place is incredibly clean and welcoming. The couch on my balcony really made my stay. They offer bottles and bottles of free refill water every day, a fruit basket and lovely toiletries in the bathroom. There are two restaurants; I ate in both the entire time and can say that the food is superb, both local and international dishes. Breakfast is delicious. If you are needing peace and quiet and a comfortable jungle stay, don’t hesitate to book.

Also their restaurant, Kaukau is good and the prices are fair - 24h reception

- The Spa has huge prices compared to other locations in Ubud so we did not book any massage there - The free shuttle is only 3 times a day, at 11,14 and 18. Would be useful to have it more flexible, maybe another one in the evening like 9PM or something, so you can enjoy dinner in Ubud first and then not to be forced to take the Grab. Walking is not really an option because is 50min walking with no illuminated streets to reach the hotel. Maybe alao another shuttle in the morning like 8-9 AM. - Pool only open until 8PM - Sky bar is really overpriced, food and drinks are good but price is too high. These are thing we have known before so does not really affect the rating for the hotel.

Beautiful and tranquil boutique hotel. Wonderful staff and gorgeous pool

The hotel was tranquil and calm but having a rooftop bar directly above rooms on level 3 really ruined the evenings. Loud music was on each night until 9.30pm, followed by the staff moving furniture for 30min which really impacted your evening if you wanted an early night. The walls/balcony doors were also very thin so you could hear the conversation of your neighbours on their balcony even with the doors closed. Overall stunning hotel but the noise really clashed with the overall vibe of the resort

It was thanks to this hotel that I truly fell in love with Bali. After a few days exploring the other islands, one thing became clear – I had to come back. And I did. Because nowhere else did I feel so cared for, relaxed, and genuinely happy. The service? Absolutely top-notch. A perfect mix of professionalism and genuine warmth. The hotel takes care of everything – from organizing activities and transportation to planning how you spend your day. I could fully relax, knowing that everything was in good hands. I was a demanding (okay, difficult 😅) guest – changing my plans from minute to minute. And yet the staff always managed to meet my expectations with a smile and incredible patience. Their flexibility, dedication, and kindness are just outstanding. The food – delicious. Full of flavor, made with fresh local ingredients, and served in a beautiful setting. The rooms – stunning, comfortable, and full of character. I stayed in three different ones, so I know what I’m talking about! The hotel is located in a breathtaking spot, but it’s the people who make it truly magical. And the people here are simply the best. This isn’t just a 10/10 – it’s a 1000/10! I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone. One thing’s for sure – I’ll be back. I love you all, and thank you for everything ❤️

We have been to many countries and many hotels already but the Arkamara tops everything by far. With our arrival at the beautiful resort in the middle of exotic plants and trees we got a warm welcome by the staff. The resort has 2 pools, a nice restaurant, a spa where we got our welcome massage, a gift shop and a roof terrace with bar and yoga area. Room: We had a very spacey room with a nice shower and bathtub with outdoor feeling. The room was cleaned daily with diligence. Restaurant: The staff at the restaurant was so welcoming and always offered us a super flexible breakfast. We got to select 4 items from the menu which was really a lot - with a fresh pressed juice of choice we never started the day hungry. Shuttle service: Since the resort is located on the other side of the river in Ubud it would take a while to get to the city centre. The Arkamara offered a free shuttle service (roundtrip), also on short notice. The communication was super easy via WhatsApp and never too intrusive. Staff: We immediately felt like home and got treated better than you could imagine. 24/7 we felt the kindness of the staff and we actually felt quite sad to leave Ubud, not because of the city but because of the extraordinary staff. We already miss it and can’t wait to come back soon again!
