The staff was really nice, always welcomes with the beautiful smile. The place is a bit cozy. Its little far from the center. But can get grab ride easily. Breakfast has limited options, since they dont have in-house restaurant, but it was okay for us. Even they provided breakfast boxes when we were leaving early for the site seeing.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained with spacious rooms. It is located in a serene locality among rice fields, and it takes 15 mins to reach the central Ubud market area. The roads are pretty good and this hotel is surrounded by family owned properties, Warungs and a few eateries. Our standard double room was huge by Bali standards, and it had all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. We had a farm view from our room and it was pleasant to sit there every morning with a cup of coffee. The hotel staff was well behaved, prompt and accommodating of our small requests. They also have a well maintained albeit small pool on the premises. For the price and serenity, it is definitely one of the best places to stay in Ubud. Guests will need to take a bike on rent if they plan on staying here as you cannot walk to Central Ubud. Grab taxis are also available at this location, but a bike is so much more convenient and way cheaper. The hotel staff can help you rent one, else you can get cheaper rates from Google search in the area. We used Pthreek bike rentals and they provided free pick-up and drop service at the hotel.

The hotel is located in the middle of farms, so you do encounter insects in the balcony during early morning and evening hours. It's not harmful, but make sure to close your balcony doors in the evenings to avoid them. The staff provided us with insect spray on the first evening when we had kept the doors open. The breakfast spread is limited as they don't have a restaurant on property yet. Eateries in Ubud close earlier than Kuta & Nusa Dua so it'd have been good to have a restaurant in the hotel premises.

My experience at Bumi Muwa in Ubud was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and care. The service was beyond anything I’ve experienced before, genuinely attentive and heartfelt. The staff and the chef were incredibly generous and kind. Being a vegetarian and carrying some pre-packed Indian meals, I was touched by how willingly they helped me heat and serve the food, going out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. The breakfast deserves a special mention — it was freshly prepared and pure vegeterian and even offered options suitable for Jain food preferences — without onion, garlic. On my special request, they even arranged it early in the morning before the usual breakfast hours. Their hospitality and willingness to accommodate every little need made me feel at home. The location is also a big plus — peaceful, beautiful, and close to the heart of Ubud while still feeling like a retreat. I will never forget this warm experience and will definitely return. Highly recommended for vegetarians and anyone looking for a serene, guest-centered stay in Bali. 🌺🙏

We spent lovely 14 days at Bumi Muwa and I can honestly say that all members of the staff were super helpful, polite and kind. Thank you guys for everything! The hotel is located in relatively quiet area, which is a must in super busy and overcrowded Ubud, and 3 km away from the main attractions. The hotel offers fast wifi, spacious rooms, beautiful view form the restaurant terrace, clean swimming pool with plenty of trees and greenery.

I really didn't like the fact that our room and bathroom. located on the ground floor, had this unbearable smell of mould during the whole stay. I even couldn't sleep the first night because I was not used to that sort of smell (bed linen and towels also smelled like that). In addition, we had some issues with the siphon of the sink, which made it uncomfortable for us. The place is also a little noisy in the morning, especially when located on a ground floor, because a member of the staff is sweeping the ground at 6:00 am every single day.

TRaffic congestion and absent side walks meant it was very difficult to walk any distance.

Absolutely loved my stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout — they really made me feel welcome. The room was cozy, and I had such a good quality sleep every night. Would definitely come back again for the comfort and warm hospitality!

I was a bit disappointed that the swimming pool wasn’t operational during my stay. Also, the breakfast options were quite limited and could use some improvement in quality. With a few updates, this place has great potential!

Great experience at Bumi Muwa hotel. Close to Ubud in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by rice fields and restaurants. You also have a minimarket there and is perfect located to get your bike and discover Bali from there!! The best of the hotel is their people, always nice and up to help. In our case special thanks to Arta who was incredibly charming and doing extra efforts to book and find us the best options. Definitely our trip wouldn't be the same without Arta so many many thanks. Overall we were really pleased with the property. We had 3 rooms for a mixture of adults and children. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished with good bathrooms and good airconditioning. Each room has some sort of balcony/outdoor space which was useful for drying items. We only used the pool a couple of time. it's quite small and between the lobby and all the rooms, but it's great for a quick splash or some relaxation. We had breakfast each day. The food was generally very good if a little basic. The service is spectacular at the hotel and they tried very hard to put up with our gluten free/vegetarian requirements. It was our first time in Ubud and it doesn't seem that Ubud has a centre. Depending on what your visiting this location is pretty good. You may sit in a bit of traffic whatever you do, but we didn't have a problem getting Grab taxis. 10 days later, my key memory is the superb service we experienced.

We had two rooms on floor 2 and one room on the ground floor. As mentioned elsewhere, the ground floor room had a slightly smelly bathroom. It wasn't terrible and we got used to it, but I would pick higher rooms if I stayed here again. One of the 2nd floor rooms had a weird padlocked ornamental door. It was interesting but difficult with kids, etc.

The service here and the people on staff were outstanding. I'm not sure I've ever had as excellent service anywhere! Breakfast was delicious. I liked being able to select my menu the day before everything was fresh, and their poached eggs were immaculately prepared. I ran into a problem with a local bank and the good people at the front desk spent a lot of time on the phone with them on my behalf. This is what I consider above & beyond. I am grateful to have had this experience.

The lighting in the room could've been a tad better, but it really wasn't a problem. The only thing that really could've been better would've been a longer stay. I tried to extend one more night, and there were no vacancies, which of course is understandable, given the high-quality of this place.
